Worst place to book
on 20th of December 2020, I booked mellow hostel online (booking.com) for 24th and 25th of December 2020.
They confirmed the booking on the same page. when I try to double check the booking thru a phone call, the number has given on google was not working.
I reached Ahanagama on 24th December at 2.30 pm and tried to check in Mellow hostel.
There was only one person working and he don’t have any clue about the booking.
He said all the rooms are full. when i asked him, why did they confirm the booking if u don’t have a room, he said ” it was a auto generate message from the site.
I came from Colombo, Imagine if you book this place from another country and when u got in to a situation like this.
I had to travel extra 10 km to find another place to stay.
I never recommend this to anyone. Please don’t book this place.
Also the person was working there, when he lost the argument, he said ” without a PCR test report, you can’t check in to any hotel here”
he never apologize regarding what happened. After the first wave I had been checked in to more than 4 hotels, no one asked about PCR reports.
