It’s a lovely venue, gorgeous pool, areas to hangout, ping pong, outdoor movie etc. But I am really disappointed with the prices and food. I went 2 days ago to spend time with a friend staying there. They auto-charged me an additional 10% services fee which, despite me disagreeing with, I accept is normal in Sri Lanka. But what REALLY frustrated me is ON TOP of the 10% service charge, they also charged me an additional 700 for paying with card. So I ended up paying +20% on top of my bill. In Sri Lanka, the normal card fee is 3% NOT +700. I tried enquiring about this but the staff weren’t helpful. The food/drink was fine but not worth the extra money. To make things more frustrating, after I left, my friend said they weren’t charged this so it felt very unjust. It’s a shame because it’s a lovely place and I would have happily come back had this not have happened. Sorry to leave a bad review but I think guests should be aware of additional charges before ordering.
