Just arrived in Croatia and in the process of applying for the digital nomad residency. I do freelance editing for a company in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, mostly of transcripts of academic lectures, medical and scientific conferences, banking and finance presentations, TV broadcasts, and assorted other media. I’ve also got a terminally ill friend near Edinburgh, Scotland, where I just spend three months. Rather than wear out my welcome with the UK Home Office, I will be flying back and forth to visit her during my residency period in Croatia.
