I stayed here about a decade ago and had a wonderful time. It's an extraordinary inn and the staff was so friendly. Russia is an adventure and a bit of a challenging one if you don't know Russian but the staff was so exceptionally kind and helpful. I don't know when or if I'll ever be able to come back but I wish them well. What a beautiful spot.

I stayed four nights in April. Soul Kitchen isn't just a place to sleep; it's an atmosphere. The shared kitchen is vibrant: I met people from Brazil, Korea, and Voronezh. We visited the Hermitage and Vitebsk Station together. The beds are comfortable, with curtains at each bed, outlets, and shelves—everything has been thoughtfully designed. Breakfast is included—porridge, toast, and coffee. The staff is happy to offer travel tips.||A lively atmosphere and interaction with travelers from all over the world, thoughtful beds with curtains and outlets, breakfast included, and friendly staff.||It's a bit noisy at night—the walls are thin, there aren't enough showers during the morning rush hour, and the location is a bit outside the city center (20 minutes by metro).

We stayed in a comfortable three-bed room from June 2nd to June 7th, 2026! We were bitten by bedbugs!!! Our child was bitten!!! It smelled old!!! The price was 12,500 rubles a night!! They don't clean the room, and they don't change the sheets!!! There were band-aids from previous guests under the mattress and bed!!! Everything was old, and the price/quality ratio didn't match!!! Awful!!!

We stayed here from May 29th to June 1st. The location is fantastic, with all the main attractions within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable, quiet, and we had a good night's sleep. Slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, and shampoo are provided upon check-in. There's a large kitchen with dishes, so you can cook your own meals if you'd like. Would I recommend this place to friends? Definitely yes!

A wonderful place with an incredible aura and atmosphere!

I've been staying at this hostel since 2014. I love the value for money. The rooms are clean and cozy. There's a large living room for a group of friends. You can play games, listen to vinyl, or watch a movie. The kitchen is a real conversation piece. It's very large, with a 19th-century stove covered with tiles from the same era. The kitchen impresses not only with its beauty but also with its convenience and delicious coffee. I'm an artist and appreciate Soul Kitchen for its stylish interiors. Living in a beautiful space is very important to me, and this hostel is absolutely beautiful.

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful place in St. Petersburg to get married. The hotel was magical and atmospheric. The staff was not only polite but also attentive. They didn't miss our special occasion. Upon arrival at the hotel after the celebration, a gift bag filled with various treats, a bottle of champagne, coffee, candy, and more was waiting at our door. They also included a note of congratulations. Thank you so much!

We stayed in January 2025. ||I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. ||The photos are pretty, but they hardly reflect reality. ||The rooms are dirty, the staff is rude and unhelpful. ||The Wi-Fi didn't work at all, the dressers were shabby. ||You can find a much better place for the money. ||I highly do not recommend it!

I stayed here in March 2015 for three nights. I’ve stayed in over a thousand hostels in 77 countries and touched every continent. This is in my top 3, absolutely outstanding hostel, great staff, location and dorm beds. Bathrooms are spotless and the facilities are fantastic. A must visit hostel. 💯💯💯

Thanks to the staff for the cozy atmosphere, quiet, and cleanliness. The location is super comfortable, everything is within walking distance: shops, cafes, and attractions. St. Isaac's Cathedral is a two-minute walk away, and Peterhof is a seven-minute walk away.

Most amazing hostel I’ve ever stayed in.

I was quite anxious to get there after reading all great reviews. It was more expensive than similar hostels in the same neigborhood but with so many good ereviews, I booked a room for me. I would arrive very early in the mornng so I decided to ask about storage room 01 day before my check-in date. and this is the reply I got: "Hi! Unfortunately we can not host you. Due to the local laws you have to be registered, but we’ve discovered some troubles with our system which isn’t working properly. We apologise for the inconveniences. We’ll send an email to the Ostrovok Support to solve this issue, but we would recommend you to find a place to stay.". Why did they not block the system to not accept new bookings. What if I have not asked about the storage room? on top of all these issues, they did not cancel my booking. They asked me to go to the venue and they would help me find another place. but if I did that, my card would had been charged. What a disaster on customer service. Never EVER, I would reccomend this place.

I submitted a request for 25 people, and after they ignored me, I messaged the chatbot. And then silence... It's unpleasant. I shouldn't have recommended Pivovarov.

The reviews were manipulated, which became obvious immediately after checking into this hotel. Despite having booked and paid for the most expensive room type, the room they provided was completely uninhabitable. The room temperature was around 10-15 degrees Celsius (it was -30 degrees outside). The radiators were very weak and there was no way to change that. They provided a tiny heater, but it was completely unable to warm the room. My request for a separate room was refused. They also refused to find another, more powerful heater. So, as it turns out, it's all my fault. They just take my money and provide me with a room in some condition – whatever happens. I was even asked to check out, which I did, as it was IMPOSSIBLE to live in the room they provided! The hotel essentially failed to provide the service they charged me for. Of course, I went to another hotel, because even the coffee shop next door was warmer than the room they provided. And of course, they didn't refund my money. However, I understand that every penny counts for the hostel, and they need the money more than anything else. I hope they invest these funds in renovations.

A warm atmosphere (which I only caught briefly, as I mostly slept in the hostel, but still). Comfortable rooms and beds. The kitchen is pleasant and cozy. Overall, everything is convenient and the service is good.||||The only downside is that it was incredibly difficult to find the first time. I spent about ten minutes looking around until I realized I was going to a regular residential entrance. There were no signs, no markings, or anything like that (no, the signature on the doorbell, a couple of square centimeters in size, doesn't count). The website doesn't mention this fact in any way, either.

The most beautiful hostel in the world! The coziest! The most welcoming! The room had a comfortable mattress, a table and a chair, which is important for me since I work on a laptop. The receptionists are amazing! I will definitely come back again and again.

The interior is beautiful, no doubt about it, but some of the staff are unfriendly and unwelcoming. There was a party going on all night with alcohol, which I think is unacceptable in a hostel. There are bars and restaurants for that. The residents themselves can be very noisy; at two in the morning they act like they do during the day. But when you wake up early in the morning and make noise, they don't like it; it interferes with their sleep.

Very loud music from the bar under this hostel. You cannot sleep untill morning. When you ask to adm to do something - adm(Igor) will be rude with you and don't solve the problem.||If you want to drink and dance somewhere all over the night, you don't meet this problem

We were visiting St. Petersburg for the first time (a family of three). I read the reviews and decided to book a loft at Soul Kitchen. It's so atmospheric, like a mini-St. Petersburg within St. Petersburg. We really enjoyed it; both the kids and adults will have plenty to do. Everything was thought out to the last detail and done with love. A cozy kitchen with everything you need, a stunning view from the balcony, everything within walking distance, movie nights, a games room, pleasant music in the restrooms, and other little touches. The entire center is close by, but at the same time, the street is quiet and peaceful. The receptionists are pleasant and always helpful. In short, it's a shame we only came for four days; we wanted to stay longer. We'll definitely come back! We need more places like this 👍🏻

Hands down - one of the most unique places I've ever stayed in. Soul Kitchen is an outstanding hotel situated in a great location with beautiful interiors, spacious living, catering, study spaces and run by very professional and attentive staff. We booked a family room from Soul Kitchen, and let me tell you, it was amazing. The atmosphere, the interior, the staff—it was all positive. I walked around the grounds and common areas barefoot out of habit, and I never once had a grain of sand or crumb stick to my feet—it was CLEAN. The location—well, it's simply not worth mentioning—it's in the center of the city, I can't imagine anything better—close by, with all the main attractions within a 100-step radius. Clean linens, towels, dishes, laundry service, luggage storage, space for morning exercises, and reading areas. Best apartment, best place! I recommend it! Soul Kitchen, see you next year!

A great place to stay!! When I travel, I always only need a hotel for an overnight stay. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the staff is friendly and always ready to help. While staying here, we didn't have to use the metro or other public transportation. All the sights are within a 10-minute walk. Perhaps a private room would be worth it for a family, but for a trip with friends, their shared room option is perfect!! The prices are reasonable for both options. The common areas are all clean and pleasant. The kitchen is a special treat. When you leave, you immediately come across the river. It's a bit noisy at night, but firstly, you won't find a completely quiet place in the city center; secondly, if you close the window, it's not a distraction!! I'm very glad we stayed there.

We stayed in a private room. The bed was uncomfortable, and the street was very noisy. On the plus side, the location was very convenient. We didn't like staying in a hostel. The private room was a bit more expensive than an apartment hotel. If we had to stay in a private room, we'd still choose a hotel.

This is simply the best hostel! The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, very clean, the decor is pleasant, and the staff is helpful. The design is stylish, with lots of beautiful details that tell a story. There's absolutely everything you need for your comfort. Want to play the guitar? A great place to spend a few days. The house has been restored and the kitchen remodeled after being destroyed by a bomb in World War II. The rooms are very clean and spacious, with the option to store your luggage securely locked. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful place! Absolutely delightful! They'll give you tea, breakfast twice a week, show you movies, and tell you everything.

Great place: the common areas are spotlessly clean, the kitchen has everything you need for a full-fledged cook, even an oven! The room is spacious, and the view of the Moika River is incredible.

An excellent option for accommodation. The only annoying thing is that you have to take off your shoes when entering. And God knows what kind of foot problems some people have there.

We stayed here for 6 days – the place is amazing! The hostel is in a great location – the main attractions are just a stone's throw away. It's lovely to stroll along the canal, and the atmosphere inside is wonderful. The hostel staff are fantastic – a special thank you to them for the warmth, great atmosphere, and cozy atmosphere. We rented a small double room – everything was perfect (cleanliness was excellent, and amenities were thought out to the last detail). The hostel also has a common area where you can stay before check-in or after check-out (kitchen, coworking space, showers, and restrooms). There's also a designated luggage storage area. Perhaps I'll only point out one small drawback: the coworking space isn't always quiet and peaceful, so if you're hoping to work there during the day, be prepared for the fact that you won't always be able to concentrate or conduct business negotiations (the coworking space houses an old slot machine – it's certainly beautiful, but when used by guests, it produces a lot of noise, which no headphones in the world will prevent). But that's just my personal impression. Overall, the place is wonderful, and I highly recommend this hostel for a great stay!

I travel very often and I have no doubts in saying this was the best hostel I ever stayed. Great location, few minutes walking away from the main attractions. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Decoration was lovely and warm. Bunk bed was very confortable. There were curtains, 2 sockets, a shelf and individual lamp. My bed was on the top and the stairs up were very practical. I was impressed by the amenities in the main toilet (cotton buds, tampons, shampoo and soap left by other guests, and others). There was also a scale, hairdryer, hair straightener,... I used the laundry service and it was very fast and reasonably priced. There was free tea, coffee, oats, rice, pasta, buckweat, etc in the kitchen. Every morning there was apple pie. I stayed 4 nights and there was always something going one (two cooking workshops and on halloween night, pumpking carving and they prepared several dishes with pumpkin). This place was truly amazing. Felt like a home away from home.

the hostel provides all the basic needs , the people working at this hostel are amazing , they work hard , management of hostel is great , i never saw anything bad or unclean , whasrooms are always crystal clean and dry , common room has a big projector screen and also the common kitchen and rest rooms are very cozy , i made many new friends and loved these vibes , i want to stay here forever..

Best. Hostel. Ever. After I got to know Soul Kitchen through a random coincidence, I fell I with visiting Hostels all over the world. It's amazing and a must see for young and elder People in St. Petersburg!

I went because the reviews were so good, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. I wouldn't say the staff were unfriendly, but their service was about what you'd expect anywhere. As for cleanliness, it seemed like the common areas were cleaned every day, but I was surprised that they didn't clean my room until I specifically asked for it. Usually, private rooms in hostels are cleaned every 2-3 days, so that was a bit disappointing. Also, the water smelled like rust. It is a hostel that disappointed me as much as I had high expectations. However, it isn't terrible; I think you can just consider it an average hostel.

Can I add some more stars? It realy feels like home and I like to spend more time in the hustle more than out. The staff knows what their job is, They are friendly and helpfull and always have smile on their faces. Big and clean rooms with everything that a passenger need.they clean everyday. I find friends here and hanging with lots of guys. There are nights that you can cook with other gusts and learn their special national foods. Beleive me you can not find any other places in sain petersburg like soul kitchen. I realy miss soul kitchen more than sain petersburg.

Everything was great. They even held a cooking class in the evening, and I made many wonderful memories. I highly recommend it. Even after checking in, they held my luggage while I waited for the train and let me rest in the living room.

The staff, location, interior design, range quality of facilities are all outstanding, and beyond these the hostel's atmosphere is just perfect for a trip where you'd like to appreciate the artsy and cerebral vibe of St Petersburg. Also, beside being close to many of the main sights (Hermitage, Russian Museum, etc.), there're a lot of places nearby offering fun activities, like the New Holland Island, Angleterre Cinema (probably the only place in the city to see a wider range arthouse movies in their original language) or the St Petersburg Philharmonic Hall, where one can get surprisingly inexpensive tickets.

This is the best hostel in the world. It's worth coming to St. Petersburg just for this hostel. Everything here is high-quality, lovingly done, and thought out to the smallest detail. Each bed has a curtain, a shelf for a cell phone, a USB outlet, and a regular one. It's located on the embankment in the center. It's quiet at night.

Shame I couldn't stay longer but it was a very welcome and confortable place.

If you're looking for a hostel to stay in St. Petersburg, Soul Kitchen is definitely the right choice! Centrally located, very affordable prices, spotless rooms, and super friendly and helpful staff. It really feels like home, like staying with family.

The common areas are always clean. The front desk staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. In the evenings, there are cooking classes in the kitchen where you can enjoy free Olivier salads and other dishes, and in the mornings, depending on the staff member in charge, pancakes are served. Copy services, hair dryers, and bicycle rentals are also available. The curtains in the rooms are not blackout curtains, so you might want to bring an eye mask if the sun rises early.

Needless to say, it is a truly wonderful place. You can walk to St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Hermitage Museum, everything on Nevsky Avenue (Kazan Cathedral, Church of the Savior on Blood, etc.), the drawbridge, and even the Mariinsky Theatre. It is incredibly clean, and during my week-long stay, I never once saw a single staff member frowning. This is especially true for the cleaning staff. I even wondered if they were the owners of the hostel. If they weren't the owners, could they really clean that thoroughly? I was truly surprised to see a staff member—whose name I don't know but who usually works in the kitchen and has blonde hair always tied back—wiping down the kitchen walls incredibly early in the morning. The only downside is that because it is a very old building with wooden floors, there is a lot of thumping noise, loud enough to feel like you can measure the weight of a person walking by. But aside from that, everything else is absolutely perfect!!! When choosing accommodation, I rate a place as "very good" if the staff member says they would be willing to stay there again if they visited the area. If I were to visit Saint Petersburg again, I would undoubtedly choose Soul Kitchen Hostel first without a second thought. They also provide a useful map, and honestly, most of the places recommended by the hostel were delicious. The bars were good too, but Bush Bakery is seriously the best! I visited 5 times during my 7-day stay.

THE BEST EVER HOSTEL STAY IN MY ENTIRE LIFE (they deserve that lound shutout in all capital letters)

During my stay in St. Petersburg, I chose to stay at this hostel and it was one of the best choices of the trip. The service is excellent, with kind and friendly people. The communal dinner is one of the best experiences you can have!

The best hostel in Russia and Europe

I have traveled all over the world, but I have never seen a hostel like this. I arrived in the morning after taking a cruise from Helsinki, and it was great that they allowed me to check in. They also provided a rechargeable transport card, which I used (this is much better than the unlimited pass for St. Petersburg; you can pay for buses to Peterhof with it, and best of all, you will never spend as much as you paid for an unlimited pass). When I got injured on the street and my big toe was bruised and bleeding, the hostel provided a first-aid kit, so I was able to treat it well. All the hosts were kind; whenever I asked a question, they answered it kindly one by one as if it were their own business, and they even wrote things down on paper so I wouldn't forget. Thanks to them, I was able to taste traditional food in Tseremok, find and buy fruit, and now I know how to find still water, whereas before I only bought sparkling water. There is also the advantage of having ample check-out time, and even after checking out, you can use all the common areas except for the bedrooms. Thanks to this, I was able to rest well at the hostel, take a cooking class, and even take a shower before leaving on the Red Arrow ferry to Moscow at night. I think I understand why all the Koreans go here. Even when I wanted to leave St. Petersburg after having such a rough time outside, I was happy as soon as I entered the hostel. However, it is a bit noisy because of construction nearby. Fortunately, I am not a light sleeper, but those visiting in the summer should be careful. The hosts were very kind, which was great, and thanks to them, I learned a lot of Russian. I love St. Petersburg and SOUL KITCHEN HOSTEL. It was nice to be here!!!

The hotel is superb, the staff are incredibly attentive to guests. The rooms are magnificent, and the common areas are very well appointed. Very well located.

It's nice, but the footsteps are seriously... I don't know if it's a soundproofing issue or what, but they're too loud. It's like thumping—I can't tell if it's from upstairs or the hallway—it's tremendous. The ground just shakes.

This hostel is fantastic. It's very well-equipped and offers a wide range of services. It's excellent value for money. The staff is mostly very friendly and always tries to answer any questions you may have. They have a lovely balcony to relax on, a small shared pantry, spacious beds, clean facilities, and even souvenirs and unique Russian pieces. They also have great security. In short Everything is perfect!! One of the only hostel in world with so much of positive vibes. 2 ladies cleaning throughout day!!! I mean seriously most of the time it's spotless. Everyone at reception is humble whenever you approach, I have seen they give induction to each one who so ever checked in, no matter what's the time!!! LEO, Oxana, Natayasa, Yana and Roman, all of them are fabulous ( sorry if I missed anyone name) Balcony area is so beautiful that I can come back again just to sip my Hibiscus Tea. All the time there is some activity going on so I loved how interactives this place is. Kitchen is good place to gel up among peers. And the kind decore it has...OMG!!! From ❤ key cards to warmth of coffee everything is perfect. I wish I have more words to quote what I have experienced at Soul kitchen hostel. My favorite hostel in Russia!!! It is pretty big but everything is so nice and staff there are like families XD, my best hostel experience ever!!!

Perfect! One of the best I've ever been to. The room I stayed in was incredible! All the beds had curtains, power outlets, and lamps. The bathroom was always clean, as were all the facilities. The staff was amazing; I was greeted by Daria, and she gave great recommendations about the city and interesting tips for tourists. The location is perfect, close to famous attractions and near bars and restaurants.

Lovely hostel where I slept for 4 nights in a four-person dorm. Everyone takes off their shoes upon entering, so it is very clean everywhere. The staff speaks good English and they know your name immediately. The atmosphere is good, with activities every day: walking tour, cooking class, vodka tasting (thanks Leon :)). The bathrooms are also always clean, and everything is easily accessible. I would definitely go back here if I go to Saint Petersburg again!

A magnificent place, worthy not just of a review, but of a poem! I can't promise a poem, but I'll definitely be praising it! The hostel format is still perceived as cheap and completely uncomfortable accommodations with barracks-like bunks and a dozen people in a single room. But if you want to experience what a hostel should be like, you need to experience it. There are private rooms, including those for three people (if necessary, four people can be accommodated, including two children). The room has a bathroom with a shower. But the main thing, of course, is the common areas. The word "commune" in its positive sense comes to mind. There are common areas available for use by residents who have already checked out of their rooms but are not planning to leave the hostel yet due to bad weather. This includes a shared bathroom and a kitchen, where guests sometimes share their treats, and the staff prepares meals for everyone in the morning and evening. For example, every morning around 8:00 a.m. they bake charlotte. There's a sofa in the lobby where you can watch a movie on the big screen, play the guitar, or just chat. There's a children's room with a stocked toy section and a free "Football" arcade machine, courtesy of the arcade museum. The museum itself is also located close to the hostel. There are cross-booking shelves where you can even find books in English. A storage room is available for guests... In short, it's the perfect place to stay in the center of St. Petersburg at a reasonable price and in excellent conditions!

This is an incredible place; I've never experienced anything better. The atmosphere in the hostel is incredible; I want to stay there. The staff is very polite, welcoming, and attentive, and they constantly organize events for guests. Their care is evident in every detail. It's located practically in the city center, just a ten-minute walk from Palace Square. The view of the river is stunning.

The beds are huge, the atmosphere is unique, the music and the daily specials are fantastic, but what I want to highlight most is the hospitality of the staff. Well organized hostel

The best hostel ever! They have everyday events(from free cooking classes, free city tours and more.). I was always there for cooking classes and free food :)). I was there for 11 nights and have seen most what they offer. The environment is just so nice, big living room and kitchen. It is homely in some aspects :). The staffs are helpful, they speak good English. Definitely choose this hostel for the best experience of your experiences while in Saint Petersburg!

This hostel is wonderful! The kids and I loved it! The atmosphere is very friendly, it's spotlessly clean, everything sparkles, and the receptionists are smiling, young, pleasant, and beautiful! The view from the window is of the river! I highly recommend it! Oh, and it's close by: tons of bars and restaurants, and the entire city center is within walking distance!

If I could give 6 stars, I would! Best hostel ever! Beautiful and comfortable inside, perfect location (walking to all main sights in 10-15 minutes) and friendly and super helpful staff! They have cooking sessions almost every day int he evenign for free, made some russian pastries for breakfast, have a large TV room and Computer room. Only thing that was a little contra was bad wifi connection at some times, but otherwise, perfect.! Thanks so much for everything!

I had many anxieties about my first trip to Russia, but from the moment I checked in, I was welcomed by the kind staff, given an original tourist map, and received recommendations for restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets. I also felt very reassured knowing that it was a 24-hour facility. ||I woke up to the aroma of freshly baked pound cake every morning and enjoyed it with my coffee! ||The rooms are always cleaned and there are plenty of electrical outlets. ||The shower room is also spacious and comfortable. ||There are books from various countries left behind by travelers from all over the world, and there is also a free international phone. ||There was an event in the kitchen where everyone cooked and ate together, and I was able to participate freely, which was really fun! Learning Russian cuisine from Russians was the best, so I highly recommend participating if you stay here.

This place is amazing. People are friendly and helpful. They all speak English very fluently. They give you a little tour of the hostel when you arrive and you will realize that so mant things are free such as bread, milk and coffee in the morning as well as a towel, dryer, hair iron, and even a theatre telescope! fancy :P I also have found a Korean guidebook for St. Petersburg and Moscow. The room in this hostel is offered in different sizes and design, the kitchen and kitchenware is all prepared that it's easy and fun to cook there. They actually offer a cooking class almost every night. You can get to meet new people as well as to learn how to cook some nice meals and snacks. I would definately stay at this hostel when I visit St. Petersburg again.

The kitchen is amazing, and they have cereal and tea for breakfast. They have great music, you can cook, and the rooms are super comfortable. The service is excellent. There's a hairdryer and hair straighteners. I loved it.

Super hostel!!!! I'd say this is one of the best hostels in St. Petersburg, maybe the best. Great interior, lots of foreigners, polite staff. Free Wi-Fi, coffee, tea, cereal, and drinks. There are refrigerators, computers, board games, a projector, a shower, a stove, a microwave... Very convenient location and a really, really beautiful view.

Although the price is on the higher side for a hostel, the facilities were good. I particularly liked that, true to the name, the kitchen was spacious, allowing me to enjoy cooking in a pleasant and comfortable environment. The beds were individual and could be drawn with curtains, making it cozy. The space was also quite large. The front desk staff were friendly as well. However, you need to be careful as the shower floor (although the tiles are pretty) is quite slippery.

This hostel design is perfect, I felt at home, everything was clean and smelled nice, the location is perfect next to Moyka - beautiful view, very close to Nevsky Prospekt, the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood and the metro. The spacious kitchen with cooking classes, and the perfect common room, facilitate socialization. I recommend it!!

I've never seen a hostel so clean, so welcoming, with so many things on offer. Coffee, cake, crepes in the evening... in short, the entire management team does everything possible to create a wonderful atmosphere. | Very, very clean, the Wi-Fi works perfectly, several computers are available, you can print your reservations, and there's a very large kitchen. | The rooms: very clean, very large lockers with the option to lock them, clean shower and toilet, comfortable mattress, you'll have your own quiet little corner... I don't usually write reviews, but this hostel deserves one. It's like being at home, but right in the heart of St. Petersburg's historic center. The kitchen provides basic necessities (oil, milk, cake for breakfast!) and has refrigerators if you want to cook there. The facilities are very clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Probably one of the best hostels ive ever stayed in! Great value for money, clean and large rooms, great atmosphere and lovely staff! Would highly recommend staying here!

The facilities, staff, location, and service are quite excellent, but the subtle discomfort and the feeling that something is lacking 2% are more noticeable than expected. One staff member named Natalie stomped around even at 4 AM as if she had heavy weights attached to her feet, and the area is noisy from the crack of dawn due to ongoing construction nearby. Also, since it is on a main road, it remains quite loud past midnight. Although the relaxation area is quite large, aside from the kitchen, there is practically no space to enjoy personal food or have coffee. The early check-in system is a great feature, but the service contradicts the request posted at reception to keep quiet before 8 AM and after midnight. I have no idea what kind of situation it is to allow check-ins at 7 AM and wake up sleeping guests. I cannot understand why they do not discipline guests who are drunk and noisy in the early hours of the morning. The various events and services are excellent, but the repeated contradictions in the basics have earned it one star.

I loved it, one of the best hostel in the world!

Amazing receptionists! Attentive and friendly! The best hostel I've ever stayed in! It's a really fun concept in hospitality. You have to go to see what it's all about! Oh, and they even let you wait for your trip after checkout!

This was a really great hostel. I loved it so much I went back twice. There were some issues when I first checked in, but they were all resolved. The location is great, the interior design, and the staff were all perfect. There's no breakfast, but coffee and snacks are available every day. They bake bread every morning, but if you're lazy, you can't eat it. The kitchen is spacious, so it's great for cooking. It can be noisy sometimes, but not often or until late at night. The bedding is very comfortable, and it's great value for money.

I'd read about this hostel in a newspaper and decided I'd stay here in St. Petersburg. I booked a superior double room with an ensuite bathroom several months in advance. It costs the same as a hotel (€100 for a double room)—of course, dorm beds are much cheaper—but it's worth it! It's centrally located, welcoming, with a wonderful atmosphere and equipped with every comfort. Bikes, computers, free international calls, a kitchen, and a relaxation room. And the furnishings are meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail. In short, a truly wonderful place to spend your vacation!

So many wonderful moments shared during our 5 days in this uniquely decorated and welcoming place! We enjoyed the spacious and bright rooms, some with views of the Neva River, the lounge with its enormous sofa that could comfortably accommodate all 18 of us 😁, where we watched movies on the big screen or danced to Just Dance with the receptionist, the kitchen where all cultures meet and everyone prepares their own meal to be enjoyed at one of the two huge tables – a great opportunity to get to know your neighbors – and the shared bathroom where we could listen to classical music as soon as we entered the individual toilets 😁 I won't list all the little touches, I'll let you discover them for yourselves!

It is very good, except for the fact that it is a bit of a distance from the subway station. It is a clean and spacious place. The common areas, kitchen, dormitory, and bathroom were all well-maintained, making my stay comfortable. It is about a 15-minute walk to the Hermitage Museum, and other major tourist attractions are also within a 15-minute walk. There are also small supermarkets and restaurants nearby. This was the best place I stayed in St. Petersburg.

We stayed for three days and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The hostel gets a 10 out of 10 in every aspect: the staff's service, the location, the cleanliness, the decor, and the spacious bathrooms. The hostel overlooks one of the city's canals and is just a five-minute walk from the main avenue. If we return to St. Petersburg, we would definitely choose it again!

I stayed at Soul Kitchen during the World Cup. Honestly, it's an amazing place. It has a huge kitchen, and they offer free noodles, rice, coffee, and cereal. There's also a large lounge where you can socialize with lots of people (it even has a PlayStation), and a playroom with beanbag chairs and three Apple computers, which gives you an idea of ​​the hostel's quality. It's super clean, and best of all, the staff are incredibly friendly, from the cleaning staff to the receptionists, Tim, and the manager. They even let us use the facilities after we checked out because we had a night train. I would definitely go back.

I stayed there for two nights. It's a welcoming place, it feels like home. The photos accurately reflect reality. The staff are friendly, and the prices are excellent. The amenities are good, but like any hostel, you don't get all the toiletries for free, just a shower towel.

It calls itself the best hostel in the world and I can totally see why. Awesome place, perfect location and just the best staff.

Simply brilliant! The welcome, the service, the amenities, the room... Everything is perfect, they even thought of little heated cones to put in your shoes so your feet don't get wet when you go out! It has all the necessary comforts with superbly equipped and renovated rooms; you can still smell the paint a little, but nothing too bad. The kitchen is huge and spotless. The best place I could recommend!

One of the best hostel I've never seen. The position is perfect. In the center with river view and close to the main street of S.Petersburg. Inside is new with a vintage style. I took a room with three beds. The mattresses are very comfortable. The room is very well organized full of plugs, a table and two chairs. The bathroom is very big, clean with toilet and private shower rooms with soap. There are also sinks with mirrors and a very beautiful mark-up table for women. The kitchen is very big with two sinks, 8 cookers, 4 fridges and everything for breakfast and drinking water and two big tables in the center. The living room is close to the entrance with a big sofa and daily projections of films. There is a turntable for music fan and a lot of books to read. Not only in Russian. There is also another room with three new pc, sofas and some games inside. The staff is super kind, efficient and friendly. They speak a very good English, and also other languages. You must walk with slippers inside because everywhere is super clean. This hostel is better than an hotel. Highly recommended.

One of the nicest hostels i've stayed at in the world. Such a warm and inviting atmosphere with extremely friendly staff who are always willing to help. The location is perfect - right in the heart of the beautiful old town of St Petersburg. Facilities are modern and clean - no complaints!

Incredible hostel! The staff are so nice and helpful, the rooms are beautiful and modern and the huge share kitchen and common area is open 24/7 and perfect to sit down over a cup of tea or coffee. The cleaning ladies sometimes bake something in the morning for you to enjoy with your coffee. It feels so homey, and the location is perfect. I would definitely come back and recommend it to any one.

Best hostel I've been to. The place is incredible, comfortable, spacious, super clean, friendly staff, social and what not! Everything here is so well thought: The rooms are spacious and well-lit, beds have curtains for privacy which makes a huge difference. There are huge lockers under the beds, including electricity sockets to charge electronics inside the lockers). A huge, well equipped kitchen and a big, yet cosy living room, together with the super friendly and helpful staff make the place so social. I'd definitely recommend staying here and hope to be back again one day <3

This hostel is simply amazing🔥🔥🔥🔥. Before this, I was at the stinking Friends on Bank Street. This is definitely a whole other level. It's mostly foreigners who stay here, and the staff actively participates in the development and running of the hostel. The rooms are clean and cozy, this hostel has absolutely everything. Ask for a feather from a snowy owl's butt, and I wouldn't be surprised if they brought it to you. All the information and reviews are accurate; the hostel has received awards for Best Hostel in the World for up to 100 People.

All in all, it's simply a matter of saying that the hostel, the furnishings, the design, the amenities, the free food, the location, ... but above all, the staff, are simply fantastic. ||My girlfriend and I arrived at the hostel on November 24, 2017, at around 4 p.m., and the first impression was truly amazing! We received a very warm welcome and were shown to a beautiful, newly renovated room that was equipped with more than we could possibly need or expect. Afterward, we were given a great tour of the entire hostel. There are several highlights; the hostel's really cool design alone is incredible! A phone with free worldwide calls and the chill-out room equipped with Apple computers are also incredibly cool! Our planned stay until Sunday, November 26, 2017, was, as hopefully already clear from the above, simply perfect. ||My girlfriend and I are currently doing a semester abroad in Helsinki and therefore planned to take the bus from St. Petersburg back to Helsinki on Sunday evening. Unfortunately, we didn't fully consider the validity period of our visa! Our bus was supposed to depart from St. Petersburg at 11:30 PM on November 26, 2017, but unfortunately, our visa was only valid until November 26, 2017. This turned out to be one of our biggest problems. Since we wouldn't have crossed the border by midnight, we were denied entry and left stranded at the bus station. And so began our nightmare trip to Russia! Even then, our hostel, despite putting themselves in a difficult position, provided incredible support! Without the staff, we'd probably still be in St. Petersburg with even more trouble! I wholeheartedly recommend this hostel and hope you have just as wonderful a stay there, and please be sure to carefully consider your visa requirements!

The rooms are beautiful, very practically designed, and spotlessly clean. The entire hostel is lovingly furnished, and you can immediately see how much effort went into the design. There's a huge kitchen equipped with everything you could possibly need in terms of pots, spices, and so on, a large common area with sofas, and a room with computers, a foosball table, and armchairs. There's even a guitar, a record player, and all sorts of literature, for example, about St. Petersburg. Everything you could possibly need is there! However, what I appreciated most was the staff. The reception staff consists entirely of helpful and dedicated young women. We had major problems with our Russian visa, and they offered us extensive assistance without hesitation. They spent hours working on our issue, making phone calls for us, translating and printing documents, and researching online. I can only express my gratitude and wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful hostel with the BEST STAFF IN THE WORLD to everyone.

The hostel is amazing!!!! The staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful. Guests receive complete support!!! The common area is cozy, well-equipped, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is super organized, has all the necessary utensils, free tea, and on some days, a delicious free dinner. The hostel is extremely clean. The room is comfortable, has excellent lockers, individual lights, and more than two power outlets per bed!!!! In addition, the beds have curtains, ensuring privacy. It's super well located. The best hostel I've ever stayed in! I will definitely return and recommend it.

Wonderful hostel! Clean, cozy, and stylish, with plenty of space and various areas for relaxing or gathering. Comfortable beds with good linens. The price is steep.

Located next to the Lotte Hotel, which is a bit of a walk from Nevsky Avenue but easy to find from the equestrian statue at St. Isaac's Cathedral. The charming interior and friendly staff were nice. However, the kitchen wasn't well-ventilated, and the smell of grilling meat permeated the entire hostel, creating a chaotic atmosphere. The apple pie baked in the morning was really delicious.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. They think of every detail to make your stay enjoyable. The location is convenient, within walking distance of all the city's historical sites. They have extra routers if your Wi-Fi signal is weak in your room. The rooms are very clean, and there's a great vibe from both the staff and the other guests. They even have homemade muffins for breakfast every morning.

Five nights with a view of the canal in the quiet and comfortable St. Petersburg hostel with delightful little breakfast snacks, endless coffee and tea, and very clean rooms.

Truly one of the best hostels I have stayed at so far! The location is perfect; I could walk almost everywhere. Additionally, there was a nice surprise in the kitchen almost every morning: freshly baked apple cake or other treats. Furthermore, the staff working there is very helpful and friendly. There is literally nothing negative I have to say.

This is an absolutely incredible place to stay. The owners have clearly spent a lot of time in hostels themselves because they have thought of everything! I definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting St Petersburg.

The most luxurious hostel I've ever stayed in! Everything was spotless, with a full cleaning of the entire building every morning, a large common room, and a spacious kitchen equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location in SPG is superb; all the top attractions are within walking distance. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent tips to make your stay in SPG even more enjoyable and enriching! All in all, highly recommended – I would definitely stay here again!

Everything you could expect and more.

I've now completed my second visit to Soul Kitchen. ||And my enthusiasm for this fantastic hostel has grown even more. ||The hostel itself is still spotlessly clean and very stylishly decorated in a vintage look. ||The team is still incredibly friendly and organizes new events every day.||These range from free walking tours to communal cooking sessions, all free of charge. ||My central meeting point is the kitchen, where there's always free coffee and several refrigerators for storing food and drinks that you've bought or brought with you.||||For me, this second visit definitely won't be my last!

I stayed at Soul Kitchen in St. Petersburg for six days and was thrilled with the location and decor from the very beginning. Naturally, most of the action takes place in the kitchen, where you can easily strike up a conversation with everyone. The hostel also hosts Russian cooking events where you can participate in the cooking or simply watch as Russian food is prepared (the food is free).

Considering it was slightly more expensive than other hostels, the guest amenities, staff friendliness, cleanliness, and convenient, quiet location were all excellent. For this review, I plan to go on a city tour after checking out, retrieve my luggage since I have time before my night bus, use the lobby and facilities, and then head out.

This is a truly amazing place! It's cozy, clean, welcoming, and conveniently located. The hostel's design is simply stunning. The guests are mostly foreigners, and English is spoken everywhere. The receptionists are very kind and helpful. The standard of living is excellent! Movies can be watched on the 2x3m screen, mostly in the original language with Russian subtitles. Every evening, there are events—pancakes, pies, and much more. The hostel bed is inexpensive. I highly recommend it.

Location: perfect (practically next to St. Isaac's Cathedral). Cleanliness, rooms, value for money: perfect. | But what's truly impressive is the staff: absolutely dedicated, always super friendly, and always ready with great tips. Events are planned regularly (actually, probably every day/evening) (banya, cooking together, virtual reality...). If you're at the hostel during these times, I think you should definitely participate – we were unfortunately always out... || Postcards and stamps can be bought right there (there's also a glue stick if they don't stick... ;-) ), and the necessary mailbox is also available. || By the way, you take your shoes off here (that's the custom in Russia); you use a bench in the large common area, which forms the first room of the hostel. There are also shelves for shoes, and electric shoe dryers are available free of charge if needed. You receive guest slippers upon check-in. || The kitchen is great; there's always hot coffee and water, usually pastries, and sometimes other things as well. Two large tables where everyone meets in the mornings, all in shabby chic style, mixed with country charm. Really great! || If you're arriving by plane, I recommend taking the bus and metro to the hostel; that way you'll learn how the public transport system works here. Alternatively, you can order a taxi by email before you arrive. The same applies to the return flight, which unfortunately sometimes departs very early in the off-season... To avoid waiting for the driver in the morning, he sleeps at the hostel. || They've also made deals with numerous cafes, restaurants, and smaller attractions, which are marked on a free map; a great starting point for anyone who needs some orientation. You can also save a few rubles with the flyers that are also available. Here's my only suggestion for improvement: a deal with the restaurant Yat would be fantastic! || All in all, Soul Kitchen is a recommendation that couldn't be clearer. |I will definitely go back to St. Petersburg, and I will definitely stay here again.|It's...perfect!

An amazing hostel I found in St. Petersburg, Russia! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, answering all my questions! Lots of free facilities! Best of all, the room overlooking the river was absolutely gorgeous! The only downside was the hot water wasn't very hot – everything else was fantastic! They also have occasional hostel events, where you can chat and have fun with people from all over the world! The space was very comfortable! The view was superb! Highly recommended! Delicious bread was served in the morning! All the nearby attractions were within walking distance!

I stayed for two nights and observed everything; almost everything was perfect. Everything was systematic and reasonable. It was the first time I’ve seen double beds in a hostel. It is more expensive than other hostels, but it is worth the price.

We had a fantastic experience at the SK; it was warm, friendly and above all, extremely clean and well kept. Everyone we encountered from guest to staff were lovely, informative and patient with our broken russian. We only stayed a few days, but thanks to the attentiveness and warmth of the place; it's members and owners, and their openness make them welcoming enough to invite, and entice you back through its doors. The dormitory beds had curtains, which was great for privacy. There were also power outlets and lights inside each bed. The card key provided good security, ensuring only guests in that room could enter. There was a storage compartment under the bed where you could put a padlock. The view of the canal from the room was lovely. The shared living room was spacious and had a computer, a soccer game, and various books. They also showed movies and offered affordable city tours and bar-hopping tours. Freshly baked fruit muffins were available every morning in the kitchen, and they were free. Coffee and various teas were also free. Overall, the interior was very artistic and stylish, unlike what you'd expect from a hostel. The staff were also very kind and friendly, making it a very comfortable stay.

This is my favorite hotel out of all the ones I've stayed in. Every corner of the hotel is uniquely designed; I wish I could stay forever! The lounge, kitchen, activity room, and rooms are all spacious and have plenty of room. The street view from the terrace is also beautiful. I really love this hotel, and I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in St. Petersburg.

A romantic place

It's definitely one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in during my long travel career. Soul Kitchen overlooks one of the city's many canals and is not far from the famous Red Bridge, meaning it's just a few minutes from most of the city's tourist attractions and about ten minutes from the city's two nightlife areas. ||||The decor is very playful and aims to recreate a beautiful, welcoming and fun home. There are several common areas with large sofas, several Mac workstations, a spacious and fully equipped kitchen (including food labels), board games, a projector, a stereo, and everything else you could ask for. ||||The common rooms are tastefully furnished, the beds are comfortable, and everything is wonderfully clean. ||||What's more, all the staff are attentive and precise, friendly, and ready to accommodate any requests. A handy map of both tourist attractions and recommended restaurants is also provided.||||In short, in every aspect, they strive to make the traveler feel at home.||||Top marks!

Such a cosy place, great atmosphere, we will come back and we do recommend it to everyone.

In St. Petersburg - Saul is a kitchenette!

The best part about this hostel it's the staff. Maria, Anastasia and Christina are fantastic people to talk to. The hostel is the best one we've ever been to (and we travel quite a bit). We would go back to Soul Kitchen without even thinking about it.

Absolutely fantastic: great price, perfect location, beautiful room (we had a double room with a private bathroom overlooking the canals) and above all, a wonderful atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive... And the hostel is tastefully decorated. Go for it without hesitation!

There were four of us staying here in August. ||It was a wonderful stay. ||Stepping into the hostel feels like coming home and feeling right at home. ||The atmosphere, the facilities, the cleanliness, and the wonderful staff make this hostel a truly fantastic place. ||The hostel's location is also incredibly central, and they constantly offer activities for guests, such as free pasta in the evenings, vodka tastings, and pub crawls. ||Anyone wanting a great stay in St. Petersburg simply can't miss this hostel.

I've never stayed in such a fantastic hostel. The service is top-notch (something many luxury hotels could learn from), the staff is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is wonderful. You feel right at home. It's also spotlessly clean! | The only downside: it's so cozy that some days you'd rather stay in the hostel than explore the city ;)

Although the price is about twice as expensive as other places, it is good enough to have been selected as the Best Youth Hostel (Small Class) at last year's awards. The staff are very friendly, and the location is excellent. You can walk to St. Isaac's Cathedral and the Hermitage Museum. The hostel is right next to the canal. The facilities are also very clean. It is a place worth staying at least once.

Much more than expected from a Hostel

The bed in the family room was comfortable, so I slept well. The hostel facilities are diverse, always clean and tidy, and convenient. The staff are friendly. The location is near St. Isaac's Cathedral and close to Nevsky Prospect.

Everything was impeccable, the ambiance is beautiful, the service is excellent, the bedrooms are lovely, and you feel very comfortable and relaxed in the atmosphere they've created. It has a small balcony that offers a lovely view. I highly recommend it and would return anytime.

We were in Pittsburgh again and stayed at the Soul Kitchen again. It's still a wonderful place, as always. Even though we hadn't checked in yet, we were (of course) able to shower at 8 a.m. and wash off the grime from the night train. When we asked for a plastic bag to pack our things before departure, we were able to help ourselves to a whole array of them, and so on. The rooms are very clean. We would give the service and friendliness seven stars if we could. There are activities offered every day (city tours, baking classes, special meals, etc.). We always feel very comfortable there and can wholeheartedly recommend the Soul Kitchen Junior.

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice place to stay.

Not far from the metro. The hostel is on the first floor of the building. ||Very nice designer decor. Perfectly maintained. Clean. Well designed. Fairly recent modern furniture. ||Quite a few services offered: shoe dryers, umbrellas to borrow, free international calls to landlines, etc. ||As a bonus, classical music in the restrooms! ||No breakfast included, but homemade cakes are offered every morning. ||The staff is helpful and competent. ||A few minor drawbacks. Only one sink in the kitchen. Not enough light on the computers. Okay, I'm nitpicking a bit. ||In short, I'm really delighted with my stay at this hostel.

It was a truly perfect hostel in every way, except for the really awful mattress where you end up tossing and turning with the person next to you while you sleep. It is clean, convenient, and the staff are very friendly. My husband and I stayed in a double room, and the view was really great! There is also a free cooking class every evening, so be sure to check it out~

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Perfect location facing the Moika River, close to all the main tourist attractions in St. Petersburg. Very clean, with incredible decor and great service. The room I stayed in, a shared dormitory with 4 double beds (amazing!), also had two individual lamps and power outlets, and lockers with internal power outlets as well. The shared bathroom is huge, very clean, and even plays classical music! I will definitely stay here again when visiting St. Petersburg!

Together with 3 friends, I slept here for 4 nights. It is a beautifully decorated and atmospheric hostel; it feels like coming home while traveling. We were very impressed with the cozy eat-in kitchen, the large sofa in the living room, watching movies on the projector (and getting popcorn with it), sleeping in an alcove bed where you can disappear by closing the curtains, shoe dryers, umbrella rental, and the classical music in the restroom. Highly recommended!

I can only praise the hostel.||||Positive points:||1. The hostel schedules your arrival in Russia (books the taxi) - this is important if you don't know the Cyrillic alphabet and can't speak basic Russian.||||2. The hostel is extremely luxurious, the rooms look like 4-star hotel rooms.||||3. The hostel staff is an attraction in itself, they are extremely helpful, they assist, and they offer various leisure options throughout the hostel (when I was there, there was a vodka tasting with typical Russian food).||||4. The hostel's location is exceptional, the best spot in St. Petersburg, you can walk to the tourist attractions.||||In St. Petersburg, it's a great accommodation option!!!

It's really a great hostel with an interesting ineriour decoration. All rooms have a different style, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are very clean. Also the hostel organizes different activities each day and general support is offered whenever needed. The hostel itself is located in a calm, harmless area but close to most of the interesting sightseeing spots. On the other hand, people who wanna party all night long in the hostel may look for a different location as this wouldn't be permitted. A holiday as it should be: no worries, no hustle and bustle, just friendly people and the feeling of being at home. A very friendly hostel, furnished with attention to detail. As a tourist, you're happy to return to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the hostel at the end of an eventful day. I study at the St. Petersburg University of Economics and live in Moscow. Every time I come to take exams, I stay at Soul Kitchen. I really like the atmosphere – it's very cozy, but also very professional. I can't study in Moscow, so I prepare for all my exams here, and what's important is that I'm succeeding! I also really appreciate the privacy in the 8-bed dorm. It would seem like privacy in an 8-bed dorm is unrealistic, but no, each bed is separated by a curtain, there are shelves inside, space to hang a T-shirt and towel, and there are light bulbs and outlets – meaning I can continue studying in my own bed without my light disturbing any of the other guests. Plus, Moscow is always hectic, with extraneous street noises and strange people – but when I come here, I finally find peace and human warmth. The guys who work here are always ready to help, treat you, and offer advice... I LOVE SOUL KITCHEN HOSTEL!!! :-)

This was definately the best hostel I've ever stayed at. It was perfectly clean and very well equiped especially in the beautiful big kitchen. The stuff is very helpful and friendly and organizes some little "events" in the evenings which one can join to get to know new people. Our room had a wonderful river view... combined with a cosy bed, it made it hard for us to stand up in the morning J I will definately stay there again and recommend it.

A wonderful hostel. Wonderful receptionists, delicious waffles in the morning, a great view from the room, soccer, which we almost learned how to play, and movies that are so cozy to watch under a blanket in the harsh St. Petersburg rain. Awesome place, probably the best hostel in St. Petersburg!

The shared spaces (living room, PC room, bathroom, etc.) are spacious and spotlessly clean. The showers and toilets were also clean and pleasant. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and cooking utensils, as well as seasonings. Coffee, tea, and green tea were also available free of charge. There were lockers under the beds that could be secured with padlocks, but they were heavy and deep, making them somewhat inconvenient to use. However, each bed had a curtain, power outlet, and light, ensuring privacy, and I didn't have to worry about disturbing others while charging my devices. The staff were also very kind.

This place is awesome, you must stay there. Staff are great, large rooms, good kitchen. Enough said just go👍

The hostel is right on the river! Many sights are within easy walking distance. We had a double room with a bathroom, and everything was fine. There's a large communal kitchen and a common room where they also show movies in the evenings. We didn't use that, but it's certainly great for backpackers to meet other travelers! No breakfast included. Friendly staff.

Super hostel!

Really great. Family and friends stayed there and they loved it. Staff doing a great job.

The photos and website don't disappoint, and Soul Kitchen lives up to expectations: a beautiful place, meticulously maintained, with fun furnishings and comfortable common areas (the kitchen, TV room, games room, and computer room). It's a truly lovely place, but paying €90 for a double room in a hostel seems a bit steep. It's true that the city is very expensive, but these rates are still out of reach. The room with a private bathroom is very large (though the bathroom is tiny) and overlooks the river. Unfortunately, for the first two days of our stay, our bathroom was almost inaccessible due to the unpleasant odors, which then miraculously disappeared. Being a hostel, breakfast isn't included, but you can leave your food in the kitchen: having breakfast together is very pleasant. The staff speaks English and provides lots of helpful information.

Best experience in hostel I have ever had. Clean, safe, well located and good staff.

An incredibly cozy and wonderful hostel. I want to hug the girls at reception and live here forever. I'll definitely be back.

It was awsome!

Just like home. Friendly and helpful English-speaking staff. The hostel is in a huge, ideally located apartment with large rooms and high ceilings. We chose a double room with a small bathroom. 12,600 rubles for 4 nights in early December. Free Wi-Fi, foosball, a computer room, a giant screen, and a huge, fully equipped kitchen to prepare a hearty breakfast to combat the freezing temperatures outside. The clientele is mostly young and English-speaking, in their 20s and 30s. We did, however, meet some seniors over 40. I highly recommend it. The procedure for receiving the voucher, in order to obtain the visa, is done directly on their website, which is very convenient.

Okay, I checked this page before leaving and was a little skeptical to see so many positive reviews... well, yes, it's all true! ||The hostel is a dream, a very welcoming atmosphere, kind and helpful staff. Plus, the rooms are very clean, including the shared bathrooms and kitchen. There's a common area near the reception where you can chat while sitting on the sofas, watch a movie together, read, or play the guitar. Computers and Wi-Fi are available for guests. The rooms are pleasantly furnished in a modern and fun style, playing with the furnishings and design. I must also say that I was lucky enough to have a room with a view of the river, which is right in front of me, so it's wonderful to wake up in the morning to the darkness, the city lights, and this mirror of water reflecting everything. ||Highly recommended, I wish all hostels were like this!

This is one of the best Hostels I have stayed in in my whole life! The staff is helpful, speak good English and are incredibly friendly! The rooms are big, clean and so cozy, that you do not want to get out of bed in the morning. The kitchen is well-equipped and also spacy and comfortable. The design of the hostel is mind-blowing, there is so much to discover! Free-Wifi, Computer, Iron, Hairdryer, Tea/Coffee. Also a lot of Events, like Movie evenings, foreign cuisine, Pancakes making, etc. I just had the best time in this hostel and hope they are going to epxand all over Russia!

The staff are very helpful. I dropped off my luggage early in the morning, and they let me use their computer and even let me rest. There's a refrigerator and kitchen that you can use freely, and there's also a water purifier. You're given a card key for your room, and although it's an 8-person room, the beds are separated by curtains. There's a personal locker under the bed, and you can lock it with a padlock (which they lend you at the front desk). It was my first time staying in a dormitory, and I had a very comfortable stay. It's a great place for extended stays. You can get a good sense of the atmosphere by looking at the hostel's homepage. They also seem to issue vouchers (? unconfirmed). || Considering the cost, I don't think it's a bad point, but it's a bit far from the metro station (about 10 minutes on foot). You have to go barefoot inside the building (including the toilets), so if that bothers you, you should bring disposable slippers (they sell them at the front desk for 100 rubles). There are no amenities provided. They do lend you a bath towel. There are no washing machines for guests, but they will do your laundry for you for 250 rubles if you ask.

It was wonderful. The hostel offers many services, large and pretty rooms, fresh and clean bathrooms, a great kitchen, and all this with a smile. Furthermore, the interior design is really great and the staff is very helpful. A truly pleasant place. My first hostel, it was great. The place offers a lot of free and paid services, the rooms are very nice, spacious, and well-equipped, the bathrooms are extremely clean and well-appointed, the kitchen is large and fully equipped, and the hostel even offers dishes to try. The decor is beautiful, you really feel at home, and on top of all that, you can add the smiles and impeccable welcome of the staff.

Located in a beautiful central area along the Moia River, this hostel offers stunning views. It was the season of the midnight sun, and the view from the shared living room balcony was fantastic. The rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen were all tastefully decorated with art, making for a very pleasant stay. The staff were lovely Russian girls who spoke excellent English and were incredibly kind. The clientele was diverse, including young people and families from all over the world, and enjoying conversations in the kitchen is one of the joys of staying in this kind of hostel. It's within walking distance of the Mariinsky and the Hermitage Museum. Drip coffee and tea were always available, and one of the staff members even made us waffles as a complimentary treat – they were delicious! I would definitely like to stay here again.

Definitely one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in: centrally located, just steps from all the main monuments, comfortable, spacious rooms, very nice furnishings, clean bathrooms, and a large, spacious kitchen: in short, a perfect place to fully appreciate the city of St. Petersburg.

The best hostel I have been to so far, the rooms are beautiful, the shared area and the kitchen is warm and welcoming, the staff is friendly and helpful.

this is awesome and amazing hostel of all that is in St. Petersburg !

I stayed for two nights in a dormitory room with eight women. It cost 600 rubles per night (ruble payment only). ||Each bed has a light, a small shelf, a locker that can store a small suitcase, and a curtain. ||Despite being bunk beds, the beds themselves were large, so it felt spacious and comfortable. ||Several of the other guests were staying long-term and attending university. ||However, because the beds are large, getting up and down from the top bunk might be difficult. ||The cleanliness, staff service, and other services (free wifi, PC, international calls, luggage storage, bath towels, drinking water) were of a higher quality than I expected. ||Many of the guests were from Europe and Russia (I was the only Japanese person), and although I returned to the hotel after midnight, it felt lively at night.

Soul kitchen hostel is the best place to live in St. petersburg, in the 4 person room there are two big beds, one on the ground, one is on a roof in the upper corner, there are stirs for u to climb up, IT'S A WONDERFUL HOSTEL!!!!!

Everything is brand new. Impeccable.
