Good space, disappointing humanity 🥺 I worked at Outpost Ubud for months last year, and now I live very close to it. Today my home internet crashed while I was reapplying for my visa online. It was urgent and stressful, so I went to Outpost and gently asked if I could use their Wi-Fi for a few minutes. I didn’t even need a seat, just a connection to finish the form. The receptionist told me I would need to purchase a day membership, or I could only use the Wi-Fi for up to 15 minutes maximum. I didn’t know if it would take 5 or 20 minutes. I just needed a little help. After all the time and money I spent there before, that response felt very cold. A co-working space without humanity is just desks and Wi-Fi. Sometimes the smallest bit of kindness matters the most.
