Was supposed to be our final best place in the Philippines and unfortunately was our worst experience of them all. Check in was confusing with no one really around but general staff were lovely. Main problem is the room - can't believe we have been charged almost £50 a night to stay in a room with no hot water, half curtains missing (men walking past the bedroom and bathroom whilst I was changing) ants everywhere, door lock broken, dirty towels and pillows, sockets in bad condition/don't work, no lights to the room, noise from construction right outside, smells terrible because of the buffalo field next door and my partner scolding his hand on the kettle. We tried to resolve with the manager, who to be fair is very responsive and helpful, but the owners couldn't care less. Its not what it makes out to be with yoga seemingly sporadic times and the pool dirty and filled with bugs. Apparently the owner has refunded other guests but refused to even give us half our money back so unfortunately I have had to leave my first negative accommodation review. There is also no WiFi in the rooms which we would be used to but not at this price. Absolute rip off for the money and so many nicer places to stay in General Luna.
