Took the Family Room because it had a connected bathroom. The shower was very, very small with a cloth curtain. Check-in was odd. Did not meet anyone at check-in. Had to go through a basement garage, up elevator to 4th floor to retrieve room keys, then down steps to the 3rd floor. All while lugging our bags. The house was clean.

I stayed for A ver o Mar for a week while working and seeing the island. The place was beautiful - with a large balcony overlooking the sea. The other guests were respectful and friendly - was sad when it was time to leave. The host was excellent - promptly answered all questions and set up a guided hike. And the monitors and work stations are such a luxury for people working full-time jobs - it makes me wonder why more hostels/co-living places don't have them

Fantastic co-living and co-working place! ▪️Clean and comfortable room and shared spaces. ▪️ The property is great both for socialising and to get your work done. ▪️The terrace is super spacious with great views and has a shower outside for the hotter days. ▪️Met some lovely people! ▪️Great communication with the property manager (Catarina) who was super helpful and responsive. ▪️Short walk to the heart of Funchal. ▪️As a solo traveller I felt very safe staying here. I had the most amazing time here. Views from terrace are amazing. There are desks and monitors for working. Location is great. The host is friendly and responsive. Finding parking on street for rental car wasn't an issue. Place is clean and well maintained. A bit uphill walk to get to the place, which wasn't an issue for me, but may present an issue for some people. As for suggestions, if possible - make both washrooms available to all guests, as sometimes there was a minor inconvenience with the single shared washroom.

A ver o Mar is a great place to visit Madeira for workation. What is quite good is the working space where there are second screens, desks and comfortable chairs. The house is big, there is lots of space and has a very nice terrace with great view on Funchal. It is easy to catch up with the rest of people since the host takes care about the group and gives all important information about the events and what is happening in Funchal. I will definitely come back once again but for a longer time :)

Wonderful experience! The home is comfortable, the revolving door of people are super kind, it’s affordable and great for long or short stays! The host Catarina communicates super well and always on call if you need anything :) If you haven’t done a co live, this is a great spot to try it. For those who have, this is a top tier experience. I recently stayed at this coliving place and had an amazing experience! The facilities are top-notch, with modern and well-maintained furnishings and appliances. The living spaces are spacious and comfortable, with plenty of natural light and a homey atmosphere. There are also 5 external monitors and fast internet, so it's ideal for remote work. The manager Catarina was also incredibly helpful and friendly, always available to answer any questions or offer suggestions for things to do in the area. She really went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed to feel at home during my stay. Overall, I can't recommend this coliving place enough. Whether you're traveling solo or with a group, it's the perfect place to stay and experience all that the area has to offer. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Ich hatte eine großartige Zeit im Averomar Coliving, wäre gerne noch länger geblieben. Die Lage in Funchal ist erstklassig, ebenso wie der phänomenale Ausblick auf die Stadt. Die Räumlichkeiten sind mehr als großzügig, das Internet zum Arbeiten ausreichend schnell. Wenn man aus Deutschland kommt, sollte man nicht die gleichen Komfortansprüche erwarten. Mit dieser Erwartungshaltung und der ansteckenden Gelassenheit der Einwohner kann man eine tolle Zeit auf Madeira verbringen. Gerne komme ich wieder zurück :-)

A Ver o Mar is an awesome coliving&coworking located 10 minutes walk from the center of Funchal. The apartment is very large and consists spread of two floors. There is everything needed for cooking and washing clothes and there is plenty of space to work. The internet connection is really fast! You can also take advantage of a huge terrace from which you can see the whole landscape of Funchal and where you can eat under the sun. The owner Catarina is really helpful and ready to solve any kind of problem. I will definitely come back again 🙂

A Ver o Mar is It’s located in central Funchal, which is the capital of Madeira. This makes it walkable to everything, but the final climb up the impossibility steep hill is not for the feint of heart (or weak of legs). There are 2 floors in the spacious apartment/house. The bottom floor has a kitchen, living room, dining room, and terrace. The top floor has a coworking area with 3 desks, a large table, and a small sitting area. There’s also a separate laundry room. Split between the two floors are 5 bedrooms. 2 are private with queen beds and ensuite bathrooms. 1 is private with a queen and shared bathroom. And 2 are shared (two twin beds) and shared bathroom. There are two shared bathrooms, one on each floor so a maximum of three people would share each bathroom. The internet is fast and there are outlets a plenty. There is a Whatsapp group for current residents to connect and coordinate. We all also have the property manager’s Whatsapp info in case we ever need her. This is a new coliving space, and the manager has been open to feedback and has made many improvements even since I arrived. She is dedicated to ensuring we have a good time and ideally come back to stay again - as one guest who just arrived has done. The house is cleaned once a week. Unfortunately even if the residents are tidy it means the kitchen is a bit diseased by the end of the week. Twice a week for the kitchen would be ideal. 3x a week would be optimal. I’m not sure what the standard is; common areas were cleaned daily at the last place I stayed, but I think there was a lot more turnover there. The beds also need to be replaced; the bed in the room beside mine was so squeaky I could hear them from my room when they rolled over at night! The mattresses are good (although strangely short!) but the frames are very old. I have no doubt this is going to be taken care of soon; in the time I was there many improvements were made! All in all I loved my stay and I plan to return!

Very comfortable place for living and working. The view from the balcony is great and you can actually work there or have a barbecue. The place is close to the center so you can see most of it just walking. The wifi is reliable and secured with a password. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook a proper dinner.

A great place to stay for tourism but also for co-working! The flat is amazing, the terrace has a beautiful view on the city and the mountains! Kitchen well equipped, great flatmates and great space possibility for co-working. The flat is located 10 minutes from the city center and on a hill. Supermarkets nearby.
