One of the things I love most about Madeira isn’t a mountain or a viewpoint. It’s places like this. 🌿🔥 Today, the Homeoffice_Madeira and Madeira_Hiking crew got together for a barbecue at one of Madeira’s traditional picnic areas. For many visitors, these places are easy to overlook. But for locals, they’re part of island culture. Families have been gathering here for generations. Sundays spent grilling espetada, kids running around, friends playing cards, sharing food and enjoying a slow afternoon in nature. Madeira has dozens of these public picnic parks scattered across the island, often hidden in forests, next to levadas or surrounded by mountains. They were built to bring people together. And honestly, that’s exactly what happened today. Good food. Good people. No schedule. And Márcio as a real local doing the bbq and sharing good local vibes and local food 🙌🤙🙏 Just a reminder that some of the best moments on Madeira sometimes don’t happen on a famous hike or at a viewpoint. They happen around a barbecue with friends. ❤️🔥🌴 #homeofficemadeira #madeirahiking #madeira #ilovemadeira #visitmadeira
