⭐⭐⭐⭐

Stayed for two weeks for remote work & surfing. The hostel is really clean (which is quite impressive with the amounts of sand to cope with) and modern. I loved the bed curtain system and spacious&comfortable beds. I was there in off-season, so there were barely any guests, however I think if it were full the small kitchen and only 2 toilets (for women) may be quite challenging. The shuttle service to the beach works quite well and communication with the surf school via the hostel was fantastic. For remote working it’s ok, there are a few cubicles which are semi-private, however if more than one person is having a meeting it gets a bit tricky, plus its semi-located where the staff lives and can therefore only be used at certain day hours. It also gets quite humid and hot in the coworking space, because it is right next to the showers. So if you only need to get a little work done and mostly surf, it works. For intense work, maybe less ideal.

When it comes to the staff they were generally really helpful and tried their best to make everything work, help with schedules/looking up stuff/recommendations, and even join for an occasional game of cards if they had time. Most of the staff was fantastic, and a big part of the experience (Thank you for everything Fernando!). I only had issues with one of them, who did not seem to particularly like people in general (pretty much every other guest I talked to had the feeling that staff member was personally angry at them). There are a few smaller issues the hostel still needs to work out or be more clear about (renting and returning of surfboards for example), but all in all definitely worth staying. As a beginner I absolutely loved surfing in Conil too!
