
5 FUN FACTS ABOUT THE MONTGÓ YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW ⛰ From our CO-CO Coliving 🏡 you’re surrounded by the mountain (aka Montgó) and the sea. The Montgó is a very important mountain for Dénia and our neighbour, Jávea. Did you know these fun facts about the mountain? 👀 🏔 Montgó rises 753 meters tall (2,470 ft) 🐘 Looking at Montgó from Jávea, you might be able to see how it resembles the head and trunk of an elephant 👁 You can hike to the “eye” of the elephant, La Cova Ampla del Montgó, which is a cavern in the mountain 😉 There is a regional folktale of the Montgó that the people of Dénia and Jávea fought over the mountain so much that one fell on their face and the other on their butt (giving the nicknames of people from these regions) 🌳 In 1987, Montgó was declared an officially protected nature reserve due to its diverse flora, fauna, and ecosystem Let us know in the comments how many of those fun facts you already knew 🤭 (no cheating though!)
