The biggest problem I had with Gato Azul is a lack of communal space, which should be a core part of any thing that calls itself a coliving space. Apart from a little corner in one of the kitchens, there is no space where you can just sit down and relax. The coworking part is not much better. There is one room where you're supposed to work, but it has space for 6 people and its full most of the time, so you end up working from your room. The other small "meeting room" has no internet connectivity. I didn't manage to have a simple voice call inside. When me and my girlfriend had calls at the same time, one of us had to go to the bathroom (not kidding) in order to continue the call, because there was no other silent space in the whole house. The house on its own is really beautiful, but it doesn't help because the walls are so thin and you can hear every single thing in the house and need headphones just to fall asleep. It almost seems like the owners jumped on the after covid bandwagon and renamed a hostel into a coliving/coworking space.
