I’m incredibly grateful to have spent 3 months with Joan and Elena at La Folcra. They have put so much love and care into providing every modern amenity in this beautiful 15th century home tucked away in the Pyrenees. I’ll remember my time spent foraging in the forest, enjoying Joan’s delicious Paella, hiking in the mountains, waking up to the cows foraging outside the bedroom window , listening for owls, watching vultures from the terrace, sitting around a cozy fire together, making pizzas - so many special memories! This was a wonderful way to get in touch with the spirit of Catalan. My time here felt like being part of a family and I learned a lot about the Catalan culture. Joan and Elena have a special place in my heart and I hope to return again. An unforgettable one of a kind experience for sure!
