Mason & Fifth is more than a place to stay, it feels like a small neighbourhood in itself. The listening room is a gem, where you can spin records, sip a drink, and strike up a conversation with a stranger. The gym is equally impressive, well-equipped enough to keep my Strava streak alive while on the road. What makes the place stand out is the team. They make you feel at home from the moment you arrive, with small touches and thoughtful ops-ups that turn the experience into more than just a hotel stay. Step outside and you’re minutes from Portobello Road, with its bars, restaurants, and endless shopping, all easily reached via the Hammersmith & City line. It’s far enough from the city’s buzz to give you breathing space, yet close enough to dive back in whenever you like. Having Restaurant Canal right next door is the icing on the cake, a reminder that even if you choose to stay in, you’re not missing out.
