The staff are super friendly and very helpful. It was nice to be able to wander freely around the complex as long as I had my key card. I felt very safe and I imagine M&F is wonderful during the warmer months. There are so many places to sit and read or work. The cinema room is a great idea and you can watch a movie for free each night, or you can choose a dvd and they’ll put it on for you if the room isn’t in use. My only ‘complaint’ would be the food. Breakfast is basically continental with the only hot food being boiled eggs and toast. However there was fresh fruit salad, croissants, cereals, yoghurt (both regular & coconut) and lovely coffee. So if you eat light in the mornings, then it’s perfect. However, as someone with a peanut allergy, the nut butters needed to be much more clearly labeled and in my opinion, should not be right next to each other. The food in Canal is a little overpriced for what it is, lacking in both presentation and variety. However the vibe, atmosphere, staff and mocktails were great. All of this being said I will definitely be back, but may go for a wander into Nottinghill for a nice breakfast. I didn’t want to leave my room because my bed was so comfortable and I felt very welcome during my stay.
