I've lived at The Collective in a one of their average rooms for 9 months. To be fair, my experience living there has had its ups and downs. Area The area is terrible - the building is located in an industrial area in West London, there's literally nothing to do there and you need to walk or take the bus to North Acton/Willesden Junction. Again, in my opinion, the area is not precisely safe, but if you've just settled into London, trust me, you won't find anything cheaper. The Room Your room (I don't know about studios), is not designed for you to stay there for the entire day, just to sleep. The rooms are extremely small, I can't stress it enough. The kitchen in the twudios are suffocating; there are no windows to ventilate! If you're the kind of person who loves to socialise with people and likes hanging around, then The Collective is your place. From my experience, unless you don't fully embed the culture, you won't enjoy the experience living at The Collective; there are social events every single day and lots of people who you can talk to. There's a gym and groceries shop (super expensive) in the building. The laundry room is a pain, there are like 7 washing machines, and another 7 driers for 500 people! Generally, it's been an experience that I will remember.
