This is a combination hostel and hotel. As a hosteler, this is the best of both worlds. Very clean. Hospitable, friendly. Good kitchen. Outdoor shower for after the beach. Two beautiful mostly antisocial cats. Fantastic plant life. Swimming pool with seating. Hammock area (hammocks uncomfortable). Porch swings. Large dining area. Has an office-like area with large table and outlets. Would be a good place to settle in for coworking. Library adorable. Sunhats for borrowing. Free mangos from their tree during mango season (April). Free drinking water. No free coffee. Free bike rental for up to two hours. There are no all-user restrooms; gendered only. Hopefully they will provide better bathroom access in the future. Bathroom door to women's toilet has a broken lock, anyway. They sell collapsible water bottles, fancy sunscreen, and citronella bugspray. Dorm bed MX$150/night in off-season, eg April through rainy months; MX$250/night in busy season. Spacious dorm rooms, they face the pool, good view, but where people smoke things upwind. Near Papatots, best food in town. Next door to a dentist, maybe for dental tourism? Equidistant to the Carrizalillo beach and the market. The only thing missing is a blender. Best hostel in Mexico.
