On the 10th of December I have booked a bed in a shared room with them for the 6th of February the following year. It happens that my it itinerary has changed and I am not able to be there for this date. I decide to contact them as soon as I knew which was on the 26th of December, more than a month before my booking. I first got a reply mentioning it is not possible and it’s not in their policy. Following this statement I have then mentioned to them that there is no terms and conditions anywhere to be found on their website nor on the email confirmation. The next step was for them to ignore me for over a week. When I told them I would share this bad experience and I would check for legal ways of getting my money back they strangely got back to me right away. They mentioned that they will refund as soon as they find someone to replace my booking (it’s a shared room in pick season…) but after a month I still haven’t heard back from them and they’ve decided to ignore me again on email and WhatsApp. I have been very patient and I have gave over a month notice. In ANY hostel or hotel you get some sort of refund (even if not entirely but at least something depending on the notice period given) and you are at least respected and receive responses to your contact… not to mention the “cancellation policy” that they made up as it’s not available anywhere. I have been travelling for the past 6 months and this is the worst scam I had to deal with…
