I can't put my stay at Riverside into words. The pictures on the website don't do justice to just how beautiful Riverside and the town of Jerico are. I met the most interesting, friendly people here and loved spending time sharing breakfasts, lunches, and dinners with everyone. It really felt like family - we even celebrated someone's birthday with a homemade chocolate cake while I was there!||Weekdays were a wholesome ritual where we'd all wake up, do yoga, have a cold plunge in the river, and have a chococafe with breakfast before heading into the "Temple of Capitalism" to do the day's work. After work, we'd unwind with beers on the yoga deck or chatting together while cooking dinner in the kitchen followed by a bonfire or movie night.||Weekends were just as lovely: I went on the best hike of my life from Las Nubes in town to the Los Monos waterfalls - stupidly, stupendously beautiful. And sometimes, we'd go out for dinner in the town and it was just so lovely people-watching in the plaza or going out for karaoke or mulled wine at La Commedia and then walking home with the stars overhead and the fireflies in the fields.
