Review of Casa del Sol - Eat.Sleep.Yoga.Surf

allieno

We spent a week at Casa del Sol, recommended by Tripadvisor. The property is located about 1 km outside of the city and its hustle and bustle, which might seem inconvenient. However, this turns out to be a positive, as it's very quiet, unlike the hostels/properties located in the center (a 10-minute walk away), where loud music and "fun" reign supreme. The property caters primarily to surfers and yoga enthusiasts (daily classes are offered), but it's also suitable for those who simply want to enjoy the beach life, like us. The sea is only about fifty meters away (there are also a couple of good restaurants nearby). The rooms are a bit dark and small (no air conditioning) and a bit pricey ($20 per person) compared to average, but this is made up for by the relaxed atmosphere in the common areas. Breakfast is varied, with something different every day, all fresh and cooked to order. The Wi-Fi works excellent in the common areas. Mike and Jackson are very friendly and helpful, offering helpful advice on the various activities in the area. One evening, they even organized a shared barbecue where everyone could bring their own food and they took care of the cooking. They also organize evening movie screenings on the big screen. Overall, a young and dynamic place, but absolutely peaceful when it comes to sleeping.
