⚠ **AVOID THIS HOTEL** ⚠ SURFESCAPE is a disgrace to hospitality. Theft is frequent, and there is no security in place to protect guests. A tiny, unsecured safe that can be taken entirely, and they claim it's a secure safe... This isn't an isolated incident: several people have reported missing belongings and luggage searches, and the incompetent management turns a deaf ear. After money was stolen from our luggage, we had to waste even more time at the police station to file a report, just because we knew it would be pointless. The staff is incompetent and disdainful, completely indifferent to complaints. Don't expect any decent service. Every problem is met with silence and contempt. We were put up in their so-called villa belonging to the hotel. It's dilapidated and has no air conditioning. The rooms are poorly maintained, with frequent power and water outages. Even though all the neighboring hotels have generators to compensate for the problem. The service is disastrous, and the atmosphere oppressive. And don't even get me started on the mosquito bites, as there are no protective measures like mosquito nets or window screens. This establishment should be avoided at all costs. Don't risk ruining your stay. Go somewhere else where your safety and comfort will be taken seriously. AVOID IF YOU DON'T WANT TO RUIN YOUR STAY. YOU'LL FIND MUCH BETTER ELSEWHERE.
