While I spent most of my time travelling around Goa, staying at Acolmeia felt like home. It was lovely waking up refreshed to a early start where one could sit out and read, or spend some time sitting by the river. What stood out to me about Acolmeia is that it was designed to connect travellers with eachother by forming a community through those who stay in Acolmeia. It was lovely interacting with others as if we all belonged to the same home for a few days in North Goa. Acolmeia is located next to Nerul River, with a pleasant view of the river right next to the compound wall. It's quietly tucked away, yet located at a reasonable distance from Candolim beach, Fort Aguada and the AAA (all alcohol) museum. It is a quiet location that allows you to relax and take some time for yourself to enjoy your vacation. I was told that dolphins and otters can be spotted near the property, hopefully I will be lucky during my next visit. We enjoyed the home-cooked suji upma and dosa at breakfast while chatting over cups of coffee and tea. Acolmeia is a co-living space which was a great way to meet other travellers who were visitng North Goa as well. I enjoyed meeting others in the common spaces, at meals time especially. I enjoyed learning about how Acolmeia came to be from the owner, Dhruv who was staying at the property at the time. I definitely look forward to returning to Acolmeia and hopefully spending more time over the weekend for workshops and exploring more of Goa through Alcomeia's community!
