In January, the German musician and actor Fatoni visited our beautiful island. On May 19th, his new album "Wunderbare Welt" will be released. In March, a song from the album was already introduced as a single release with a video. In the autobiographical song, "Danke das Du mich verlassen hast" (Thank you for leaving me), Fatoni describes the pain of a relationship that has long ceased to function and exhibits toxic traits. Instead of blaming or mourning his ex like other rappers, Fatoni reflects in the song that a breakup can sometimes be not only necessary but also healing. The music video for the song is a low-budget road movie, mostly filmed with a mobile device and largely on Koh Mak. The Koh Mak campus is proud that we could actively support the artist.

White Sand Beach Resort on Koh Mak offers a very pleasant and well-balanced stay. The staff are exceptionally friendly and hardworking, providing consistent and attentive service throughout our visit. The location is excellent, directly on the beach with beautiful sunset views. The resort facilities are well maintained, including a good gym and a dedicated playroom for children, which adds to the overall comfort of the stay. The restaurant and bar are of good quality and conveniently located within the resort. Rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable, contributing to a relaxed and easy experience. Overall, the resort delivers solid quality in a calm and attractive setting. We would love to come back to this small piece of paradise one day!

A wonderful place to stay! Great staff, always available when needed. Rooms are spacious. Downside, there’s a crack in their showers roof so we had a small Paradise Tree Snake spying on us in the shower. Their staff came, the snake left by itself and they fixed the crack. That’s life in Thailand, don’t come to countries like this if you can’t handle that. Small but nice pool. Great alternative, especially with kids. You can rent golf carts at the hotel (limited amount). I highly suggest them to get around. BHT 1000 / day. One of their staff allowed us to borrow their fishing rod. Breakfast is small, yet rich. Fresh egg-station. Good mix between Western & Thai food. Wonderful beach and great massages at their property - probably the best I‘ve had in Thailand.

Wir hätten das Hotel selbst über Booking gebucht, bezahlt und haben eine Bestätigung bekommen. Bei Ankunft am 12.09., oh Schreck, war das Hotel noch geschlossen. Eine freundliche Mitarbeiterin (Coco) leihte uns ein Golfcar. So konnten wir uns auf der Insel umschauen und haben dann ein anderes Hotel gefunden. Unser Geld hatten wir noch am gleichen Abend wieder bekommen. Koh Mak selbst ist zumindest in der Off-Season tot! Google selbst zeigt geöffnete Kneipen, die es so aber nicht gibt. Letztlich waren wir vom Zustand der ganzen Insel absolut enttäuscht.
