Coworking Bansko

The most disrespectful and rude service in years. A mocking tone, rised eyebrows and a "you are beneath me" attitude from the first words of the elder man. I can't believe it and I wouldn't return here if they paid me. I just asked about the prices and to see the space 🤣 I got a "can't you see the website? I have no time for this" 🤣 Such a shame since the place used to be so recognised. I'll go to nestwork instead. They have a fun community and a really modern space. Ps. Stop using the photo of Matthias who no longer owns this place. That's why it went downhill over the change of management. The community is gone from here, the coworking is almost empty.

Coworking Bansko is more than a coworking space. It’s a home. I was a nomad in Bansko for 2.5 months. Even though I didn't live at the Coliving (I worked at the coworking and participated in social activities) I felt like it was my home, people were so friendly, and I found my community there. As a copywriter, I loved how the coworking doesn't have a rigid office atmosphere but a more spacious place to work, reflect and write. I wholeheartedly recommend Coworking Bansko to every digital nomad or there!

Coworking Bansko was the place that first introduced us to the nomad community back in 2022, and we’re genuinely grateful for that. However, after the ownership change in 2023, things seem to have gone downhill. We had a very disappointing experience during the winter of 2024/25. My partner and I purchased two memberships in December 2024 for 199€ each but never received access, so we ended up switching to a different coworking space in town. Despite promising a refund, they stopped responding entirely. Then, three months later, they charged us again 2×199€ for the same “subscription” we never used. That’s 796€ in total. In the end, they refunded only one of the four charges. We had to involve our bank to recover the rest, which thankfully worked after a few months via chargeback. What used to be a great community hub now feels like a scamming operation. It’s sad to see the decline! If you’re looking for a coworking space in Bansko, we recommend Altspace or Nestwork. We tried both. They had flawless communication and a much more professional experience.

Says they'll respond and look into my issue in my last review, but they just don't answer my emails.

Did not respond to my request for a partial refund which would not have been an issue if the answer was just no, but they just ghosted me. Also about a month ago there was an issue with employees not getting paid, which resulted in multiple one stars which have been removed. So the 4.6 star rating is not a good representation of this place.

Great community and atmosphere!

I joined for a while in early 2020, hoping the place and the staff might help me find my feet as a foreigner / freelancer / remote worker in Bulgaria. It, and they, did not. (I won't go into detail, as bizarre and demoralizing as some of it was.) Btw, despite the many times I have hit the 'Unsubscribe' button, and the repeated polite notes I sent, four years later their updates keep arriving in my inbox. Oh well. We live, we learn.

Favourite coworking space in Bansko 😁

AVOID AT ALL COST. ALTSPACE AND NESTWORK ARE MUCH BETTER ALTERNATIVES. Unbelievable behaviour. As a member I got banned and revoked access for some unconfirmed reason. The answer given was unclear, something to do with bringing strangers into the building despite cameras showing it's not true. I removed the managers from my private Facebook because I'm selective about who I have on my social media and I was chastised because I was obligated to answer questions more appropriate for staff members than paying customers. To my knowledge, since the sale of co-working Bankso, the quality has gone completely downhill and the drama isn't worth it. I came here for a nice experience. Not this. Avoid.

Great atmosphere and location, a lot of community events.

Overall quite good facilities, but it has a bit of a weird clan-like vibe. On the other hand, if you arrive in Bansko alone, it is a good address to connect with people! Unfortunately, the only ergonomic workplace is the quite room, and I prefer some level of communication. Most people will probably prefer the "Coworking Lounge", which is almost like your living room in Bansko. Game night and barbecue were cool!

One of the best co-working & community in the world. You come for 2 weeks and stay for 6 month. Why? Because the environment in this little town (which is so close to nature) and the Coworking is something you can't find anywhere. Fast internet, cheap accommodation and living plus really awesome people makes this place a haven for digital nomads or traveler's who can work location independent. Besides that you can do different activities like hiking in the Pirin Mountains and mountain biking, snowboarding / skiing or just soak and relax in one of the hotsprings. Best coworking space in the world.

As a coworking space this space is a solid 10/10. Fantastic chairs, desks, extremely fast internet (upgraded to fiber), great coffee, etc. At the community level it is a 1000/10. Matthias and Uwe have done an amazing job at making everyone feel welcome and having daily events that appeal to all sorts of personalities. From chill game nights and Friday BBQs to highly informative marketing meetings and presentations put on by other members, this place truly goes above and beyond a traditional coworking space.

i’ve been in many coworking all around Europe, and so far this is the worst one. Couple weeks ago, with my wife, we sent an email offering a FREE seminar about working online (is what we do since 2012). They told us to stop by and that’s what I did the next day. Unfortunately nobody from the coworking was there. Well then, I left my business card with my email and my phone. Nobody had the courtesy to call or write us. Very good manners. Anyway, today, Sunday, I had to work with fast wifi, so I left my email of their website and booked a free day trial at the coworking. I went there at 9AM and guess what? Nobody!! On googlemaps say it’s open 24h but apparently is not, and on the website nowhere is mentioned any working hours. What a bunch of amateurs!!!

Awesome coworking! The atmosphere is great for working, there is everything you need from a coworking space. The best thing is the community they have there, the people are all amazing and you can find 20-30 people as part of the community at all times. Co-working Bansko is the best co-working space I've been so far. Great community and many events made by members, who like to share there profession or passion. Other events are to get to know each other and just having a great time together like boardgames night, BBQ, hotsprings or hiking events. Besides the community and events there are two spaces. One social for working easy and chat with other and a quiet space for work focused. Great chairs, desks and always helpful founder of the place! I attended Coworking Bansko's unconference for coworking spaces in the Balkans. The experience was amazing and we were able to see the new space. Irina, Matthias & Uwe were excellent hosts, their energy is just what the coworking world needs. I can't wait to come back to Bansko for a longer stay. As a digital nomad the location had everything I needed - affordable, good wifi, good community, beautiful nature!
