This is my favorite hostel. It's very quiet, perfect for coworking, and the space is huge and comfortable. The kitchen and common areas are also very spacious and comfortable. It's located by the river, so you can sunbathe there. The people who choose this place tend to be focused, or prefer to live and share together. If you're not a big party person, this is a great place for you. Note that you need to label your personal food items; if left unlabeled in the common areas, they will disappear after a few hours.

Fotos vs Reality 😃 Fotos dont match reality. Also weird vibe . There are more „volunteers“ than guest. So they form their own cycle hog the kitchen and sleep 24/7 in the common area. There are barely any amenities in the area besides small mini markets and one restaurant. A really good thing about the hostel is that they have a tiny selfcheck out market which works 24/7 Their first pictures make it seem like their deck is just for the hostel and everybody is using it regularly. In reality the deck is used frequently by a boat company making it not inviting to chill or swim. Coworking is next to the dorm. So how are you going to have calls?

I booked this hostel for the riverside photos and coworking vibe, but it didn’t match the experience. The workspace is next to the dorms, and noise carries easily from the kitchen and common areas. Bathrooms and showers are in the living room area, FAR from the dorms. Sleeping was difficult due to noise, heat, and mosquitoes. The beach is about a 50-minute walk, so transport is often needed. Transport is also needed to go to restaurants. The river area is next to a boat parking lot with only a small dock, not the relaxing pier shown in photos. Staff were friendly, especially Salvador, and the hostel events were a plus. I booked nine nights and stayed three because the layout and logistics didn’t work for me. Best suited for very social travelers rather than those needing quiet or work space. Perfect for travelers who enjoy cooking and will not be leaving the hostel much.

Wer Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit will dann gut. Aber es gibt auch nichts zum Entspannen, von Stühlen abgesehen. Kein schöner Platz zum sich mal hinlegen oder so. Die Lage ist bedingt durch den Fluss beschissen. Zu Fuß zum Strand, ca. 50 min. Positiv war, es war sauber. Die Betten in unserem Zimmer waren eine Katastrophe. Man lag auf einem Metallgitter. Der Steg am Fluss ist ok. Mehr aber nicht. Muss zuerst über ein anderes Gelände laufen. Könnte man mehr daraus machen. Check in zu kompliziert, muss erst ein Benutzerkonto angelegt werden...

Minha experiência foi horrível, fechei 4 dias e no outro dia aluguei outro lugar e fui embora. Falta de comunicação entre funcionários, casa desorganizada, do lado de fora tem um monte de coisas jogadas, não teve respeito no horário do silêncio, durante o dia em que fiquei lá, o chuveiro queimou e só fui saber quando fui entrar na água, não pode deixar o ar condicionado muito tempo ligado porque molha o andar de baixo, a casa precisa de uma boa manutenção. É longe de tudo, tem muitos morros e caminhos estreitos. Fica tudo aberto, da uma sensação de alerta até por ser mulher, resumindo não recomendo a ninguém. E vai por mim, o barato sai bem caro!

I was staying a week in floripa and im glad that i only booked two nights here to start with. I felt like the place was a bit unorganized and crowded with staff members who did not behave professionally, like i was not welcome. I also felt like my need for alone time was not respected, as well as the walls were thin and you could hear everything from any place in the house. Lastly i think it was unhygienic due to gum on the bedpole, the room smelt like urine and i may have gotten bed bugs from the bed (the picture is the arm i slept on, i had more bites upwards) All in all weird vibes and unhygienic.

Before you book, take a moment to read the lowest-rated reviews too — they tell a very different story and paint a more realistic picture of this place.||Let me start with the basics: this is not coworking space hostel type. The way it’s advertised is misleading. It may look charming in photos, but the experience tells another story.||The room I stayed in was extremely humid and it was not properly cleaned. The window didn’t close tightly, letting in cold air and constant noise. I could hear every conversation and everything going on in the halls, common area and the kitchen. The room doors were very thin. Sleeping was almost impossible.||About the so-called coworking space: since there are bedrooms on both sides, you’ll constantly hear people moving or talking. There is no privacy or separate room for working. You are in the common area and reception space when working. When I tried to express my concerns the manager's reaction was disappointing. I was ignored and they of course knew about problems and they kept claiming that reservation is non refundable. I see that this is common practice for this place and management!||The location itself is far away from the town. And because it is next to the river and surrounded by forest (building is also a bit under ground - making it more humid) there are so many mosquitos there. ||I had to leave after two days as I could not sleep nor work there. I received no refund, and the host kept the payment as they had Non refundable policy. The management knew about the problems but they simply ignored me and my refund email.||There’s a big gap between the photos and the actual experience!

Before booking a stay at this hostel, I highly recommend sorting the reviews by the lowest ratings to get an honest picture of what to expect. My experience here was quite disappointing. The single rooms are extremely humid and poorly maintained, making them very uncomfortable. The mosquito problem is severe — it genuinely feels hazardous to sleep without protection. Cleanliness is another major issue; the rooms and common areas are not kept to a reasonable standard. Noise is constant, and there is virtually no privacy anywhere on the property. Despite being advertised as a “coworking space,” it certainly is not — the environment is far too noisy and distracting to get any work done. Overall, this hostel fails to deliver on its promises and offers neither comfort nor cleanliness. I would strongly advise looking for other options before booking here.

I highly recommend this place to stay! I was here working remotely for over a month and thoroughly enjoyed my time here. It feels like a home rather than a hostel or coliving, which I really appreciated. The people I met here and the atmosphere overall were very great, very relaxed, and welcoming. It was a great place for me to focus and get work done during the week while enjoying everything that Florida had to offer. It's not too far of a walk into town and the beach, which was great, and not too far from the main spots. I'm glad I decided to book my stay here, highly recommend!

IMPORTANT: be very careful with this one, and make sure you read the 1 star reviews, too- to get the full picture. I will be as honest as I can, as I was debating with myself for over a month weather I should write this review or not. Maybe it's better to stay positive, and look at the bright side. But I want to call out this experience as it was, because I know I would want to read this information before arriving. And I'll say it very plainly: this place is not a co-living - it's a hostel. They may call it a co-living, but I do not agree. My room wad damp, with dirt and mosquito stains on the wall, window not sealing the cold breeze, and extremely loud. What do I mean by loud - first, the room was adjacent to the kitchen. The door was thin, so it was as if I'm right there at the kitchen, hearing everything very well. But the worst thing was this: right above me was a dorm room. The ceiling was wooden, and transferring everything: sound, vibration, movement. Not only was it extremely loud when someone would even walk upstairs, but every night when someone would have to go to the bathroom, or drop something, I would get frightened and wake up in the middle of the night. This happened multiple times. To sum-up, the sense of privacy in this place was non-existent. And as I needed to do a few zoom-calls for work during the day- I knew that my voice is likely echoing around the hostel. And about the co-working space: It's actually very nice if you are a programmer, and are working silently. But as there are two dorm rooms on either side of that space, you will hear everything/be heard by everyone. So only if your work is silent and you bring noise cancelling earphones. unfortunately, when I brought my pain and concerns, very humbly and kindly, to the host, I was treated with: Ghosting; Gaslighting; non-understanding, and greed. Being ghosted for a couple of days until the time for money-return had passed, and then offering a different room, but only if I add a significant amount of money. (and the noise situation was somewhat similar to the first option.) This review's purpose is to share the truth that about a place which is idealized by the other reviews, and I think I know why - I met some wonderful, wonderful people there. The river is right there and you can take a swim if you'd like. There are many wonderful trails. But that's true of many places of Florianopolis. The main thing I remember about this place is this: as I had no choice, but for my mental health and business health - to leave after 3 or 4 days - and receiving 0 of my money back - this was 1 extra month of rent, just disappearing, as I had to book another place. The host kept it, having the room for himself for the remaining of the month. One emotion that had stayed with me when I write this words. I feel Sad.

O que eu pude observar nos 3 dias que estive, achei bem organizado. Recebi bastente orientações, que foram importantes, pois não conhecia a região. O quarto que fiquei, amplo, organizado, com um bom espaço para roupas. No hostel, existe horário do silêncio, isso é bom para quem trabalha no dia seguinte. Também verifiquei que os voluntários procuram deixar o ambiente limpo e organizado. The hostel is very far away from the town and any activities. Hygiene is very low. The hostel manager Marcela left the word impression ever. She was rude and she did not want to refund us for the moody room assigned to us upon arrival. She promised she will refund but she never did. they charged us for the room prior to our arrival.

O Lautaro e os voluntários limpam o espaço constantemente e tudo está sempre bem cuidado. O único ponto que é mais desafiador é a localização, estão reconstruindo a rua e está bem ruim de transitar por lá. this is not a coworking space, this is barely a hostel. the facilities are poor, the internet is bad, there is no real office area in which to work; the double private room is dingy and loud with no hot water. at the time, they had nano units, but they were very small and required walking through a river to get to. overall this was an extremely poor experience, and the staff is young people staying at the hostel - they are kind, but have no ability to resolve issues; the manager was rude and not at all helpful in reaching a compromise. considering this is advertised as a coworking space yet had no power or internet for over 24 hrs - how is anyone supposed to work in such conditions? i hope you're enjoying my 1300£ that you refused to refund, and that you used it towards bettering your facilities for others!

Meni je ovo na prvi pogled izgledalo kao prevara: loš put koji vodi do hostela, nigde plaže uz reku kao što imaju na slikama, namršteni volonteri i nesrećni gosti jer nema tu nikvih uslova za cooworking. Soba je smrdela na buđ. Posuđe u kuhinji je bilo dotrajalo i u lošem stanju. A cena je jako visoka za sve ovo! Skoro kao hotel u Brazilu. Generalno horor menadžment. Hostel vodi neka devojka iz Urugvaja koja se zove Marcela Espinel. Ja stvarno ne znam kako do sada to niko nije prijavio policiji ili inspekciji. Ovo je kriminal ispod svih standarda.

The overall experience at this hostel was underwhelming. The photos online gave a very different impression than what I actually encountered. The place is located quite far from central areas and the main beach, and access can be difficult due to the poorly maintained road — some ride services were hesitant to come all the way.||The cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Common areas, especially the kitchen, were not well-maintained or hygienic. The kitchen was also very basic and lacked proper equipment. Shared bathrooms were limited and not in the best condition, which made things uncomfortable.||During my stay, I noticed a tense atmosphere, possibly due to how the place is run. The staff didn’t seem very engaged or welcoming, and I heard other guests mention issues with how the hostel is managed. It definitely impacted the overall vibe.||In my opinion, this place felt more like a tourist trap than a relaxing hostel experience — overpriced for what it offers, with little regard for guest comfort or expectations.

My experience at Nômades Adventure Hostel & Coworking didn’t meet expectations based on the listing. The photos did not match the actual facilities, and there was no access to the nearby river beach as suggested. The cooworking spaces shown in pictures were not existent during my stay.||The location was also a challenge — the road leading to the hostel is in poor condition, and some Uber drivers were reluctant to drive all the way to the entrance. It's situated quite far from the main center and beaches.||I found the hostel to be quite humid, which resulted in a lot of mosquitoes. Cleanliness could be improved, and communication with management about issues was not very effective during my visit.||Overall, I found the hostel to be overpriced for what was offered.

It’s nice hostel with AMAZING wifi for the location (gigabyte fibre), good air con and a chill vibe. It’s small and on the river that leads to the ocean and beaches. The downside is it is basically in the middle of no where with 15-20 minute walk to nearest grocery store, and not much happening. Good for 2-3 days to hike and connect with nature but there isn’t a ton to do in this part of town.

Mí experiencia en nómades riverside fue tan hermosa que lo fui extendiendo durante 3 semanas. Está en medio de la naturaleza, tiene salida al canal, y el ambiente en general es tranquilo. Cuenta con buen espacio de trabajo y conexión a internet estable. Que en mí caso era muy importante. Agradezco especialmente a los voluntarios Gonza, Lucre, Luciana, Santi y Mica, por estar siempre a disposición, con la mejor energía para compartir en grupo, facilitando el intercambio y buen ambiente entre los huéspedes y dando los mejores consejos sobre trilhas 🏝️🌅 🙏🏽✨

I had an amazing time at the hostel. The team who manages the place was incredible in making everyone feel welcome and in creating community vibes. Within minutes we were all friends and sharing food and drinks, so to me that is what I am looking for in a hostel. We had a boat party, we went out to a club, we laughed a lot, and in the end it was all loving hugs. The location is nice, with some cool trails within walking distance. I recommend trilha do Dolmen da Oração, a megalithic astrological calendar built on top of a hill by unknown acestors.

I stayed here for 5 days and had an amazing experience! The Wi-Fi downstairs is excellent, making it a perfect spot for co-working. There are actually two separate co-working spaces, which makes it even better for remote workers or digital nomads. The place is clean, well-maintained, and has a dedicated staff that clearly takes pride in their work. The volunteers are also friendly, helpful, and respectful, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. The location is fantastic, with beautiful places nearby and plenty of fun activities to enjoy. It’s also a truly multicultural environment—during my stay, I met people from all over the world, including Eastern Europe, Bolivia, France, the Netherlands, Portugal, Argentina, Uruguay, and many other places. With its great infrastructure, vibrant atmosphere, and supportive community, this hostel is definitely worth a visit for anyone working remotely or looking to connect with people from around the globe. Highly recommended!

Los espacios de trabajo son buenos, pero me quedé triste que están achicando el hostel para hacer más habitaciones y van a cerrar una área cerca del canal :( Están achicando los espacios de convivencia para hacer más habitaciones, y van a cerrar un espacio libre hermoso cerca del canal. Elegí ese hostel por esas cosas. Si siguen con esas modificaciones creo que no volveré. También no me gustó mucho la forma en que el dueño y la gerente manejan la comunicación con huéspedes. Había un grupo de WhatsApp para divulgar actividades y como cualquier grupo de hostel la gente estaba charlando para buscar fiestas y ordenar actividades entre los huéspedes y la gerente los reto diciendo que el grupo no era para eso, me sorprendió porque deberían valorar que los huéspedes están interactuando y todo, pero no, al fin ese tipo de actitud no va con un hostel.

TODO UN DESASTRE! En booking hay fotos que ni siquiera pertenecen al lugar, cuando llegas es completamente diferente a lo que ves en las fotos. Osea que ya de por si mienten en eso. Llegamos y nos quisimos ir por que no era lo que queriamos, nos cobraron multa de dos dias, nos dijeron que nos harian el reembolso, pasaron ya mas de 20 dias y no nos reembolsaron la tarifa de casi 380 dolares. No nos responden los mensajes. Una irresponsabilidad total. El peor hostel del mundo, no vayan ahi ni gratis. Si es que sigue estando porque si no me reembolsan el pago los voy a denunciar hasta que lo clausuren.

Este hostel é perfeito para escapar da babilónia e descansar junto à natureza. A semana que passei lá foi incrível. Durante minha estadia, várias pessoas ficaram com Dengue (hóspedes e voluntários). Acho que valeria uma ação estruturada da administração para impedir que isso aconteça. O atendimento no hostel é ótimo. O voluntário Armando é fantástico! A funcionária Victoria é muito trabalhadora. Acho que é importante destacar que as imagens que aparecem aqui levam a crer que estrutura do hostel é mais legal e integrada do que efetivamente é. O local é distante das praias (é necessário pegar Uber para ir até elas), ou caminhar 40 min. O canal é uma delícia. O Kaiaque tem um furo e precisa de reforma. O standup está soltando fibra de vidro, o que machuca.

I spent almost 3 weeks over here in Nomades and this place exceeded all my expectations! The staff have been one step forward since the first day, super helpful and welcoming with open arms always. The place is impeccably clean and furnished very cozy to work or just daydream overlooking the mountains or river. Delicious coffee and products used to make breakfast, which is a great detail! Tenía muchas expectativas, ya que habíamos pagado el hospedaje varios meses antes, después de ver reseñas de booking y el instagram del lugar, que lo mostraba increíble. Lo describiría como decepcionante y no lo recomiendo, hay mejores lugares por ese precio. Me hospedé una semana junto a mi novio y no fue grato. La gente que atiende es buena y gentil, pero son voluntarios (no parece haber encargado/dueño) y se entiende que hacen lo mejor que pueden. Destaco la atención de Mayra. La hab. doble con baño privado donde estuvimos tenía un insoportable olor a humedad, había humedad en las paredes, las sábanas estaban húmedas y olían mal. No había toallas, no cambiaron las sábanas en 7 días, no había limpieza de habitación. Así que con los días de lluvia que tocaron, se hacía difícil estar ahí. Apenas volvíamos al hostel para dormir nomás. Ofrecían un desayuno muy pobre y no se entendía la dinámica, ibas y no había vajilla disponible para servirte. Los ambientes comunes tenían goteras y el mismo olor a humedad, la casa se nota venida abajo y no es limpia. Además queda bastante lejos de la playa, tuvimos que ir siempre en auto. El lugar por su entorno natural tiene potencial para ser un 10, pero está mal mantenido y mal atendido, lo que le resta muchísimo.

On the 10th of December I have booked a bed in a shared room with them for the 6th of February the following year. It happens that my it itinerary has changed and I am not able to be there for this date. I decide to contact them as soon as I knew which was on the 26th of December, more than a month before my booking. I first got a reply mentioning it is not possible and it’s not in their policy. Following this statement I have then mentioned to them that there is no terms and conditions anywhere to be found on their website nor on the email confirmation. The next step was for them to ignore me for over a week. When I told them I would share this bad experience and I would check for legal ways of getting my money back they strangely got back to me right away. They mentioned that they will refund as soon as they find someone to replace my booking (it’s a shared room in pick season…) but after a month I still haven’t heard back from them and they’ve decided to ignore me again on email and WhatsApp. I have been very patient and I have gave over a month notice. In ANY hostel or hotel you get some sort of refund (even if not entirely but at least something depending on the notice period given) and you are at least respected and receive responses to your contact… not to mention the “cancellation policy” that they made up as it’s not available anywhere. I have been travelling for the past 6 months and this is the worst scam I had to deal with…

Schimmelbelastung im Zimmer, muffiger Geruch, minimales Frühstück, falsche Angabe zur Lage- das Hostel ist nicht „am Strand“, dieser ist 40-45 min zu Fuß entfernt. Am unterhalb gelegenen Fluß gibt es nur einen Steg der nicht zum Hostel gehört und parallel zum Ufer verläuft (Nicht ins Wasser hinein wie auf dem Foto). Wegen den dort fahrenden Ausflugsschiffen, Motorbooten, Jetskies und schwierigem Ein- und Ausstieg vom Steg eignet sich der Fluß hier nur sehr bedingt zum Schwimmen.

I spent just over two weeks here working remotely and had a great time. First off, internet was fast and reliable, and they have comfortable chairs and desks to work from. The Coliving is a mix between guests who are working remote, and guests who are backpacking/ on holiday. It’s a bit out of the way from the city center and some of the tourist hotspots, but that gives it a really laid back vibe. It’s right on a canal that connects the Lagoa with the sea, which is nice for swimming and paddle boarding, and there are some really cool hikes nearby. The only downside to its location is that it’s not super close to restaurants or super markets, but that was just a minor inconvenience for me. All in all I would stay here again.

Recomendado , me gusta porque tiene ambientes para trabajar muy comodos , pero tambien ambientes sociales , donde se compartio diferentes actividades , como ver peliculas , hacer yoga y tambien actividades deportivas . La ubicacion me encanto esta rodeado de naturaleza y al frente de un lago , donde pude ver atardeceres hermosos.
