Nesting Away - Coliving in Italy

I had an amazing two weeks at Nesting Away! It’s a great place for working remotely while also meeting some amazing people. The villa is huge, and the pool is exactly what you need to relax and cool off. Highly recommended!

I just spent two weeks at Nesting Away and honestly would happily have stayed for the whole month. It felt a bit like a summer camp for adults who also happen to work remotely — in the best possible way. The weekend activities made the most of everything the area has to offer. I particularly loved swimming in the cold springs of Umbria, and wine tasting in Tuscany, the evening games, and attempting pizza making. Some of the group even took a day trip to Perugia. The setting is also perfect for remote work: quiet, green, and peaceful, with a pool for a refreshing morning dip before starting the day. What I enjoyed most, though, was getting to live with and get to know the people I was sharing the house with. It is rare in adult life to have the chance to simply spend time with people, laugh together, and build genuine connections. Finally, a huge thank you to Ana, the wonderful community manager, who went above and beyond to make sure everyone could have the experience they were hoping for — from organising trips to Rome to creating a fun, relaxed, and welcoming atmosphere. Nesting Away is a very special place, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’ll take away so many wonderful memories — and I hope I’ll be back one day!

I stayed at Nesting Away in April and had the most wonderful month there. It was my first time staying at a co-living so had all the usual nerves that come along with doing a new thing but from literally the moment I arrived I felt totally welcome, at ease and at home. The house is beautiful and has been really lovingly renovated making it a proper cosy home. There’s loads of space meaning you can get a good mix of social time but you can also slope off to a quiet spot (or a hammock) if you want a bit of solo time. It’s really lush and green everywhere you look (I also helped plant a vegetable garden while I was there, which was super lovely.) It is quite remote so just be aware of that in case it’s not your thing (about a 25 min walk into town… you can get the bus in too although I always walked it). The system for grocery shopping was great - David, our community manager, arranged supermarket trips 3 times a week so you were never stuck short for food, water or wine. I felt so lucky with the people I met there - but hearing about other people's experiencesI think everyone feels that way, so actually I think it’s because of Ola and Fede’s approach to community building and the fact they vibe check everyone who comes (not in an elitist way at all - just in a ‘are you a good human’ kinda way). Thank you Ola and Fede - you have created a truly special place at Nesting Away and I’m so happy I decided to stay there. And to anyone who is going back and forth with the ‘should I do it’ decision... just go for it. It’ll be great!! 🌞

I had the best time at nesting away. I’m a freelance video editor based in England and this was my first ever coliving experience…. I was nervous for sure but I thoroughly recommend it for anyone thinking about it who has the ability to work remotely in their job. Fede and Ola are brilliant and have set up an amazing coliving space. You can tell they really care about the guests experience and ensure we’re all having a great time and go above and beyond, often getting involved with activities from pizza night to kareoke (appreciate Fede’s Italian rendition of the fresh prince!) Also shout out to Nonna Marie for the pasta making 😋 The coworking space is perfect, WiFi is solid… AC in every room and the pool was lush. I managed to have my busiest ever month as a freelancer whilst also having the most fun I’ve had this year with some amazing people from around the world. Big shout out to our community manager Analice also, for really looking after us all in every way. I have so many good memories from the spontaneous Gelato trips, wine tasting in Tuscany, hot and cold natural springs, exploring Rome … to simply moments chilling and having great laughs and conversations by the pool. I hope I can cross paths with everyone I met this last month and thanks again for making it an unforgettable experience 😊

I had quite literally the time of my life at Nesting Away. The villa is unbelievably beautiful and far superseded my expectations, the rooms are huge, kitchens well equipped. AC and desk in every bedroom and a dedicated shared working space, WiFi throughout. Of course the pool which is expertly maintained and has an amazing view. I still maintained my 9-5 job while doing social stuff in the evening with my housemates, pasta making, evening swims and trips out to Rome and other medieval towns on the weekends. The group that Fede and Ola bring together is selective and based on people that are respectful and kind. Our community manager Analice was also incredible and a huge part of our experience here. To call her a ‘host’ would be an understatement. I feel like I’ve made travel friends for life!

A truly one-of-a-kind place in Italy! This place was exactly what I needed, even though I didn't know. I've never felt so relaxed as I did here. Nesting Away has a way of slowing you down, helping you appreciate the little things even more, and creating the perfect balance between work, relaxation and having fun. Before arriving, I was a bit worried that the location would feel too remote, but I couldn't have been more wrong. The area is beautiful, with the charming medieval town of Orte nearby, stunning nature all around, and easy train connections to cities like Rome and Florence. The house itself is wonderful: comfortable rooms with AC, a great co-working space, and the best thing is the amazing garden with a pool and fresh herbs, vegetables, and fruit that everyone can enjoy. But what really makes Nesting Away special is the comunity feeling.The comunity manager Analice did a fantastic job bringing everyone together, and thanks to her, Ola and Fedde there was always something fun happening. From making homemade pasta with Nonna to wine and cheese nights, karaoke, drinking aperitivo at the pool, and game evenings... I had so much fun! I still dream about the amazing carbonara, risotto, and homemade pizzas that Fedde cooked for us on our shared dinner nights. You can tell that Ola and Fedde have poured their hearts into this place. They genuinely care about their guests, make you feel at home from day one, and are always looking for ways to make the experience even better. I stayed for a month, and I would truly recommend Nesting Away to anyone looking for a place where they can work, unwind, and connect with wonderful people. I am forever grateful for this experience and the wonderful people I met!

The best place to stay in Italy! The hosts are incredibly friendly and hospitable. As my first coliving experience, I wasn't totally sure what to expect, but the cliche is true - you really do come to this place as strangers and leave with a new family. Fede and Ola have created an incredible space in such a beautiful, tranquil and authentic part of Italy. It was EXACTLY what I needed and hoped for x100. The perfect balance of having your own personal space and privacy but also always someone around for a company whether it is just a chat by the pool, watching the sunset, a spontaneous spritz, gelato trip, yoga session, or backyard workout! I was definitely sad to say goodbye to some beautiful people at the end of my stay, and makes you realise how strong connections and friendships can form in such a short time - but I WILL BE BACK!!

Perfect villa to run creative retreats in Italy, like art, yoga or writing retreats! Close enough to Rome, but still in the countryside with a lot of activities and things to do in the area

This co-living space is incredible! I spent the entire month of April 2026 here and had a wonderful spring stay. Many thanks to Ola and Fede for the hospitality and the amazing atmosphere you created. From Pasquetta (Easter barbecue), excursions with wine tasting and visits to hot springs, to cooking ravioli together with Grandma Maria, there were so many unforgettable moments I experienced here. The room is spacious and modernly furnished. There are several kitchens, bathrooms, and dining areas. You can comfortably sit both indoors and outdoors. The common areas are cleaned twice a week, and private rooms are cleaned on the 1st and 15th of each month upon request. Many thanks to Lucilla for your excellent work! The location is quiet and peaceful, yet easily accessible. Trips to the supermarket are organized three times a week, and the historic old town of Orte is a 20-minute walk away. There you'll find many restaurants, bars, and shops to explore. It's a 6-minute bus ride from Villa Alberti to Orte train station, which offers direct connections to Rome, Florence, and other cities like Milan. My insider tip is the abandoned Grove Festival, just a short walk away, which offers stunning views of the surrounding area. The accommodation is perfect for digital nomads seeking a peaceful and inspiring environment. There are also plenty of opportunities to meet new people and participate in shared activities.

The house is lovely and has everything you might need for a short or a long stay. The owners, Ola and Fede, deeply care about making this place as homy as possible, all the while providing convenient work spaces for digital nomads. They also manage to attract the best of folks - you’re guaranteed to meet a new family at this coliving! Highly recommended!

If you are looking for a real Italian living experience this is it. Great connection from Rome via fast train and located in the cutest Italian Village. Real Italians sharing their way of living. The House is very spacious and rooms are well equipped with everything you need. They have created great co-working spaces throught this gorgeous property. Rolling hills and open spaces greet you with many fruit trees. The pool on site is the coup-de-Gras; a great way to cool off or just vibe on the deck or even yoga! The coolest and most unique stay of my LIFE!! 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 The owners Fede and Ola clearly put a ton of effort into making this the greatest Coliving and coworking space. Just the drive up to the house took my breath away! The spaces are so cute and well designed. I had plenty of space to work, green spaces to relax, an incredible pool and I met the coolest people! They have connections with SO MANY local businesses that every single day was a new adventure! My friend and I made fresh pasta with a local chef, went sightseeing in town and had appertivos and even got to make an eat TONS of cheese from a local farm. If you weren’t already sold on the gorgeous space that is Nesting Away, then book simply for the connections you’ll make with travelers and locals alike. It was truly one of the most unique experiences of my life. I felt like I was fully immersed in local culture without even trying. Thank you Ola and Fede for such an amazing experience! This must be the Place! A fantastic country house located near a medieval Village. Federico and Ola are two wonderful people that offers great food and entertainment in an italian coliving with wonderful overviews!

But from hotel prices...... Hostel prices are much lower..... And same services.

I stayed in September, excited to see what owners Fede and Ola (love their digital nomad foodie retreats) had come up with in opening this new coliving -- and it was even more spectacular than I'd imagined from the photos. There is a timeless grace and beauty to the property and I felt instantly settled in my lovely room, cooking great local food in the kitchen, at the desk in the coworking, hanging out on the veranda with the other guests and community manager at sunset. The house is uncrowded, big winding staircase, lots of quiet nooks to work or eat in solo or do yoga, and I floated with the pool to myself, listening to the birds and taking in the stars. The medieval hilltop town of Orte is just breathtaking, and I was able to use the community manager's car to take myself in for groceries and coffee breaks. I will definitely be back, and for much longer, highly recommend it.

Staying at Nesting Away Coliving in Orte has been one of the most heartwarming and enriching experiences I’ve ever had. From the very beginning, everything felt welcoming and thoughtful. I was greeted at the airport by the wonderful Lucrezia, the coliving manager, who not only came to pick me up but also took me for a proper Italian morning coffee at a local café and even helped me shop for groceries before bringing me to the house. That little gesture alone set the tone for the whole stay—genuine kindness, warmth, and attention to detail. The coliving itself is nestled just a few minutes from Orte town, surrounded by the most beautiful natural scenery. Rolling green hills, fresh mountain air, and wide open views make every day feel like a retreat. The grounds have such a calming energy, and the pool was an absolute highlight—perfect for a refreshing morning swim or cooling off under the midday sun. The house itself is spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully organized, striking the balance between feeling modern and still like a true Italian home. I immediately felt at ease, almost as though I had lived there for years. One of the things I loved most was the sense of community fostered by the team. Each week there were planned activities and trips, making it easy to explore the area and connect with fellow colivers. The pasta-making day with Nonna was unforgettable—not only was it fun and delicious, but I also learned how to roll and cut pasta from scratch, a memory I’ll treasure forever. The owners, Fede and Ola, are truly the heart of the place. They are incredibly friendly, approachable, and attentive, always making sure everyone is comfortable and happy. You can tell they genuinely care about creating not just a workspace or accommodation, but a home and community for people from all over the world. I feel so grateful for the chance to live and work here for a whole month. It’s rare to find a place that blends productivity, community, and pure joy in such a seamless way. Nesting Away Coliving is more than just a place to stay—it’s an experience of connection, culture, and warmth. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already excited to return. A wonderful gem just in Rome countryside! It was super easy to reach (direct train from Roma Termini), for a real local experience with the local host Federico and Ola! They are super welcoming, very energetic, and very punctual and professional in their plan of activities! The villa is huge, with very big rooms and a wonderful park around and the swimming pool. The ambient is very chill, comfy, and not chaotic. It’s a 10/10, no doubts!! Super suggested for solo travellers and groups, both remote workers or on vacation. For remote workers, the spaces are super well organised (Ola and Fede are remote workers too!)

I absolutely loved my stay at Nesting Away! The community here is amazing – super welcoming people and even a dedicated community manager who makes sure everyone feels connected. The place itself is huge: a beautiful big garden with a pool, lots of space to relax, and two fully equipped kitchens which is super handy. There’s also a coworking space, so it’s perfect for combining work and chill. I came here by car with my dog, which worked out perfectly – he loved running around in the garden. You can use the community car, but I’d really recommend coming with your own car to have full flexibility. All in all: a fantastic experience, cool vibes, plenty of space, and a place where you instantly feel at home. Highly recommend! 🌿✨

We wanted to share our experience at this coliving spot, especially since it's a bit remote and might not be for everyone. The place itself is lovely... the building has been renovated recently and has so much potential. They're still figuring things out, which is totally fair since it's a new venture. The rooms are still in progress with good AC and a nice window, but a couple of little things were a bit frustrating. Our door was super loud, which was a minor annoyance and woke my partner up during midnight bathroom runs. The bathroom door had a similar issue. More importantly, there are no locks on the doors. They do give you a small lockbox, but it felt a little flimsy and could easily be carried away, so we just felt like safety features are still being worked on. We also had issues with the Wi-Fi in our room, with speeds too slow to stream a movie or have a video call. They tried fixing it but issues persisted. The kitchen is fantastic and has everything you need to cook. The coworking is also very nice with comfortable chairs and fast wifi. The shared spaces need a bit more TLC but I am sure that will come with time. A major thing to know is how remote the location is. On Google Maps, it looks like a short, three-kilometer walk into town, but what you can't see is that it's all downhill on the way there and a very steep, long hike back up with no sidewalk. My husband tried a trail he was recommended, and he said it was more like a hike than a walk into town, very steep and unkept. They have bikes to rent (an additional €50 per month), but you'd have to be in great shape to ride back up that hill. The bus is an option but can be unreliable (like in most places) and doesn't run on Sundays, and the last bus is around 6 PM. We tried to call the local taxis they recommended, but they were always unavailable for hours. This pretty much means you have to rent a car or scooter if you want to have any kind of independence. We tried to find a scooter in nearby towns but had no luck, and the only one we found was in Rome was way too expensive (60-80 euros per day) and would mean a 2+ hour trek back. Because of this, we felt completely dependent on the community manager for basic things like getting water (which they do not provide and the tap water is not drinkable) or going grocery shopping. The manager did go quite regularly, but we didn't want to feel like we had to rely on them just to grab a quick lunch, have a random dinner or if we needed something last-minute or a water refill. This whole situation left us feeling a bit uneasy, stranded and vulnerable and was one the main deciding factors on why we decided to leave after 1 week. We had booked for a month because we were told that was the minimum stay. When we got there, we found out they had changed their policy to allow two-week stays, which was super frustrating since we wouldn't have booked for so long if we'd had that option. When we brought it up, the owners admitted to the policy change but wouldn't give us a partial refund when we asked (we paid 950€ for the month). Two other people left that same week for different reasons. In terms of the community, we felt the owners were a little too hands-off. In other coliving spaces we've been to, the owners have been much more present. We feel like this puts a lot of pressure on the community manager. This is just a personal preference I think because we found them to be very nice to be around and the place came alive when they visited. Overall, the place can be amazing for the right kind of traveller. We wouldn't return, but we hope this helps others decide if it's the right fit for them.

Great place if you want to be nestled away in countryside to focus on work and meet a great community. Access to major cities by train and even better if you have a car. There is a community manager and a car for visit to grocery store and town as well as outings. The house in general is beautiful and enough space to co work/relax/recharge. Great pool are for warm months. I enjoyed my month stay there. Fede and Ola are great hosts. A very cool Italian experience.

I stayed here in July and really loved it. The house is peaceful and easy to reach. I met people with amazing stories and learned so much from them. We enjoyed evening aperitifs together and visited some truly stunning places nearby. A perfect spot for digital nomads looking for inspiration, connection, and a bit of adventure. 😁

What a hidden gem to enjoy "La Dolce Vita". The room is big with an amazing view to start your day. They have plenty of spaces so you can find your own corner to meditation, do yoga, or workout. I've been living in this co-living space for 10 days now and I love it. It's quiet, my room is spacious, and I have a fantastic view. The house is generally large, and there's a spacious area with a pool where you can sunbathe during your lunch break or hang out with the other residents on weekends. There's a co-working space and two fully equipped kitchens. Lucrezia, the community manager, is Italian but speaks perfect English and shows us the best spots in the area. There's so much to see here, and you get a real taste of Italian life if you want to. Otherwise, you can be in Rome in 40 minutes by train. If you want even more independence, you can rent a car or a bicycle. The nearest town is about 2 km away, but there are regular shopping trips to the supermarket using the community car. It's perfect for digital nomads like me who appreciate peace and quiet but still want to be around people. I'm thrilled and will definitely be back. 🩷

Spent a few weeks at Nesting Away, and it was exactly what I needed, a break from Berlin and the big city life. I work remotely, so fast internet was the first prio, which they had and the entire villa is just serene tucked with nature all around it. This place is outstanding. Beautiful nature in such a lovely area. Everything is freshly renovated and it doesn't take too much until you feel like home in a cozy environment. I saw this villa before and after the renovation. A lot of work has been done. Good location, direct train from Fiumicino airport, gorgeous pool, garden, fast internet, convenient coworking, and most importantly, bright, friendly atmosphere, charming owners.

I spent an amazing 2 weeks at Nesting Away in July. The house is freshly renovated with all the amenities, fully equiped kitchens, coworking space, cozy spaces to hang out with the colivers and a pool to cool you down in the Italian summer. A friendly and helpful community manager is also included :P Recommend!
