I came here to improve my windsurfing skills, enjoy the sun and meet other watersport enthusiasts. All of these expectations were fulfilled. Thanks to the experienced windsurfing coaches Thomas, Adam and Orlando i was able to learn to use the harness and footstraps and enjoy my first experiences with the board lifting out of the water and starting to glide. Even at the few days with insufficient wind i had a lot of fun at the wake park, enjoyed a serene sunrise tour with jacob on SUPs and Emil got me to stand my first whitewater waves on the surfboard. When I booked my stay at Algarve Watersport I was aware that they offer breakfast and dinner. However I did not expect how good the food is. The crew in the kitchen is amazing, with some inspiring creations (im looking at you, tomato watermelon salad). Way better then expected were also the Yoga classes. I tried to catch every session i could attend to. All of the staff is super welcoming. Special thanks go to Sara for always watching out for newcomers who might feel overwhelmed with so many new faces, keeping up with guests who stay for an extended period and always beeing up for a quick chat. AJ is also super fun to talk to and share experiences. After two weeks of staying at the camp, my only regret is that i did not experience much of the portuguese / local culture. But that's just because i did enjoy staying in the camp so much.
