My second stay at the Gota Dagua surf camp in Costa da Caparica in May 2025 exceeded my expectations. Key highlights are: * The proficient and knowledgable surf instructors taught on a high level (that even increased compared to my last stay 18 months ago). A lot of them have experience as life guards and made me feel safe in the water anytime. With my surf teacher's feedback and extensive attention to detail, I was able to improve my skills beyond my expectations * Crucial to me was the small size of the surf groups. It was not not crowded in the water, reducing stress for me as a rookie * Food was exceptional. Breakfast included varying items (e.g., French toast or scrambled eggs), and dinner was always tasty and made with noticeable attention to detail, e.g., in seasoning and plating * The staff of the surf camp was welcoming, warm, and funny at any time and proactive in fulfilling any of our requests (not a lot of open wishes, tbh :) ) The Gota Dagua surf camp is an absolute recommendation. Heartfelt thank you to the lovely team onsite. I'm sure I'll be back and I'm already looking forward!
