What can I say?! My friend and I booked this trip quite last minute because it was available and had good reviews. I was expecting to have a fun time but I didn’t expect it to be one of the best weeks of my life. We were extremely sad to leave. The instructors are so positive and passionate - they bring a lot of energy to every lesson. Both of us made so much progress with surfing in that week but the whole experience was so much more than that. We made great friends with some people at the camp, enjoyed the food, bar, games. At almost 30 years old I was worried it would be a bit of a younger crowd but the ages were really mixed and it didn’t feel weird to be there despite it being a hostel vibe. Everyone was super friendly. Shout out to all the staff but especially Pedro Burata, Ari, Ivo and the photographer Miguel. The chef Luiz and volunteers also… everyone made it an unforgettable experience! The rooms are basic but it’s what you expect for the value and type of holiday. The only negative was sometimes it felt awkward having to be quiet at 10pm due to it being a residential area but we understood it and went to local bars…(we pretty much lived in Fresh Bar).
