This is really a special hostel, ran by wonderful people. From Rebeca the manager to all the volunteers, I felt very welcome. In contrary to the prior review I have rarely been in a hostel with so many cool activities put on by the volunteers. There were beach trips, concerts, yoga, and more. The kitchen was large and we'll stocked aside from needing some refreshing of the pan selection. The pool area was great for hanging in the sun and though I didn't use it much there was a lot of coworking space. Mostly though it's the great vibe of the people that will live in my memory - thank you all. As far as improvements go I'd offer only that some lighting needs to be redone - nobody likes the super clinical kitchen light and the reading lights are like spotlights that illuminate the whole room. With a little DIY work this could all be fixed on the cheap (Rebeca if you read this I'd happily volunteer to do so aha). That and even tho I like a party perhaps the extra late party guests could be coerced into the kitchen so sleepy folk can rest a bit better. Finally, Please water the cats so they don't have to drink the pool! They are adding value to hostel so they deserve some fresh nice water, it costs nothing. That and maybe a litter box- it will help with the flies and the smells! 🐱
