View postColombia is the new Madeira 🌿 And you already know how much I love Madeira (I’ve spent eight months there in total). I had no intention of coming to Manizales. I didn’t even know Manizales existed. But when I saw that @nomadicoliving had opened this beautiful coliving space @aldeasabatinga ✨ and that it’s perfectly located on the way from Medellín to Salento, I had no doubts. I had to be there. A tranquil oasis with palm trees 🌴, lush green hills, bunnies, chickens, a cat and a dog 🐰🐔🐶🐱, literally in the middle of nowhere. And it’s not even in Manizales, but in San Peregrino, a tiny village with basically one restaurant and one shop selling eggs, milk, and bread. If you ever need to recharge 🔋 or start a new project 💻, this is the place. What to do? Mostly… just stare out of the window 👀 But you can also: ☕ Visit one of the biggest and oldest coffee farms in the region, Hacienda Venecia (100+ years), and do a 2-hour coffee tour 🌋 Visit Los Nevados National Park with its volcano and Laguna Negra (weekend tip: check whether your license plate ends with an even or odd number. Looking at the other reviews, it is clear to me that the experience I had is consistent with all who come here. This is truly a one of a kind place. The environment is perfect for connecting with nature while remaining able to maintain productive and professional work habits. Juan has done a masterful job at creating a very balanced Coliving that makes it easy integrate community, healthy habits (both work and personal), and nature. I couldn’t have asked for a better month here and feel incredibly grateful that I found this place. My recommendation for anyone considering staying here: absolutely go for it. - One of the most worthwhile trips I have taken.

Awesome coliving and coworking spot in the middle of the jungle but also only a 30 min bus ride away from the city for amenities. Wifi was stable the entire time in the room and the outdoor coworking area and I do a lot of video calls. Juan (who runs the spot) is a legend and will treat you like family with lots of good local recommendations and activities. The hot tub was amazing and met some great fellow nomads here from all over the world. If you need a break from the city I’d highly recommend this spot!

I’ve stayed in many colivings already, but Aldea Sabatinga is definitely one of my favorites. It’s a perfect place to slow down, disconnect, and take a break from city life. The garden is huge, and you have a wonderful mountain view. The rooms are also very spacious, and there are many places to get work done. Since there aren’t many distractions, it’s super easy to focus and be productive. The internet also worked perfectly throughout my entire stay. Besides that, Juan is a great host. He takes great care of both the space and the people living there. He also sometimes organizes small hikes, bonfires, or other nice activities. I stayed for a month and really, really loved it. It felt like a retreat, even though I worked a lot. I can highly recommend this place and hope to come back myself soon.

Aldea Sabatinga is an amazing place. You completely disconnect from the city. Plus, the nature is incredible—there are little animals, pets, and the community is extraordinary. It exceeded my expectations. The service is great, and you really feel at home. More than just a place to stay, I think it’s a place to relax, where you can work peacefully virtually. And, it’s just 35 minutes from the city of Manizales. Everything is incredible—you have a kitchen, the bathroom is amazingly beautiful—you shower with a view of the mountains, and everything has a really lovely energy. I wish Juan and his whole team continued to welcome people like me, who can work virtually, because they really help you relax.

Where can I start with Aldea Sabatinga. It is truly a magical Coliving space tucked away in the Andes mountains 🏔️ . The room is super clean and the outdoor shower is wow! It has cute local restaurants nearby, the food is so delicious. Drum roll for the nature! Bc its spectacular, I have been here for a month and just extended another month... (will prob extend again 🥹🫶🏽) I couldn’t happier! Also the WiFi is amazing. Never had any issues! The kitchen is beautiful 😍 Last, but not least, Juan - The guardian of this space. He is the best host. Always happy to help with anything. Took us a crazy beautiful hike that on a Saturday and really created a little piece of heaven on Earth. This Coliving space is 1000/10! If you’re reading this and you’re on the fence, just book it and thank me later. ✨
