Colombia is the new Madeira 🌿 And you already know how much I love Madeira (I’ve spent eight months there in total). I had no intention of coming to Manizales. I didn’t even know Manizales existed. But when I saw that @nomadicoliving had opened this beautiful coliving space @aldeasabatinga ✨ and that it’s perfectly located on the way from Medellín to Salento, I had no doubts. I had to be there. A tranquil oasis with palm trees 🌴, lush green hills, bunnies, chickens, a cat and a dog 🐰🐔🐶🐱, literally in the middle of nowhere. And it’s not even in Manizales, but in San Peregrino, a tiny village with basically one restaurant and one shop selling eggs, milk, and bread. If you ever need to recharge 🔋 or start a new project 💻, this is the place. What to do? Mostly… just stare out of the window 👀 But you can also: ☕ Visit one of the biggest and oldest coffee farms in the region, Hacienda Venecia (100+ years), and do a 2-hour coffee tour 🌋 Visit Los Nevados National Park with its volcano and Laguna Negra (weekend tip: check whether your license plate ends with an even or odd number.
