What if coliving spaces were also learning hubs, connecting young travellers with the local communities they visit?
That’s what we’ve been exploring through SUTIL - questioning tourism habits, testing ideas with local hubs and looking for more sustainable ways of travelling.
The project started with a kick-off meeting in Sende, continued through work with test hubs and the impACT workshop with youth in Burgas, and ended with the Travel Impact Guide and local multiplier events in Spain, Germany, and Bulgaria.
After 15 months, SUTIL is slowly coming to an end :)
Created by give & grow, Burgas Creative Hub and Sende, within the Erasmus+ programme.

Cozy nights around the bonfire, soft music in the background, deep talks, real connections, and the kind of evenings you never really want to end 🔥 Coming soon again 🫠
What happens when you bring together three organizations - @give.grow.reisen , @sende and Burgas Coliving, united by a shared belief that travel can be more than just movement? 🌍
SUTIL is about rethinking the way we travel - moving beyond consumption and into connection 🤝
It explores how we can become more conscious travelers, creating meaningful relationships with places and communities, while being aware of the impact we leave behind 🌱
This reflects the project’s core philosophy of promoting gentle, respectful and sustainable forms of travel that avoid the negative impacts of mass tourism 🌿
It focuses on activating coliving hubs and empowering young people to create a positive local impact through responsible travel and civic engagement ✨
A few months ago, we brought this idea to life at Burgas Coliving, together with 20 Bulgarian young people.
Through interactive workshops, group discussions, and hands-on activities, we explored topics like digital nomadism 💻, travel impact 🌍, local engagement 🤝, and the connection between mobility and belonging.
Participants worked in smaller groups, shared personal experiences, challenged perspectives, and reflected on their own habits as travelers 💬
The space we created allowed for honest conversations, curiosity, and new ways of thinking.
The result was increased awareness that even small choices shape the places we visit, a shared intention to travel more consciously, connect more deeply, and contribute more meaningfully and test how the Travel Impact Guide created as a part of SUTIL project, is accepted by experienced and new potential travelers. ✨
A special thanks to @burgas.open.space.bos for their support throughout the ImpACT workshop 💛
as well as to all the people and organizations who helped shape and grow this idea along the way.

Hey friends 🤍
whatever your “active” looks like, this is your sign to move a little more. 💪
No pressure, no expectations. Just energy, sweat, and good people.
Come join us, you might like it more than you think 🔥
You work from anywhere. But are you actually showing up for the places you land in? 💻🌍
As a remote worker or digital nomad, you have something most tourists don’t: time. Time to integrate, to connect, to actually get to know a place beyond the touristic spots.
But with that comes responsibility.
When we flood cities without awareness, we become part of the problem: gentrification, rising rents, locals pushed out of their own neighbourhoods.
Shared communities offer a smarter way to live and work remotely. #coliving

Last week I had the chance to be part of something truly special — the first-ever Digital Nomad Conference in Türkiye, @turkiye.nomadfest 🇹🇷
I was honored to be one of 27 speakers, sharing the story of @burgas.coliving and our SUTIL (Sustainable Tourism Living) project 🌱 — created with our friends from @sende and @give.grow.reisen , promoting gentle, respectful, and sustainable ways of travel that move beyond mass tourism. 💚
But what made this experience unforgettable were the people — so many inspiring souls from around the world! 🌏
Meaningful conversations, deep connections, and the kind of energy that reminds you why community matters.
Huge thanks to the incredible organizers
@mine_dedekoca , @aquamatique , @gizemburtecin and the whole team of volunteers who poured their hearts into creating such a beautifully organized, warm, and inspiring event.
And of course… Alanya — what a place! ☀️🌊
Breathtaking nature, history, magical sunsets, mountains, sea, delicious food … The welcoming locals and supportive business gave a perfect example of how local regions can embrace digital nomadism in a sustainable way.
Feeling grateful, inspired, and full of hope for what’s next. 🙌

Burgas Coliving does coliving right! Private rooms for quiet time but the option to engage in as many group activities as your schedule allows. Big coworking space but also a garden with hammocks, tables, and strong WiFi for working. Regular group workouts/yoga, weekly family dinners, city outings, beach days, and skillshares. The town has the amenities you need and you are right next to the bus stop to go into the city easily. Katya is the best host and will help you arrange anything you need. Truly a beautiful place to spend a month building community 💛

I went to Burgas Coliving last year for a month with my boyfriend and I was pleasantly surprised. Even after a year I can still say this has been the best coliving I have ever stayed in. Not strange that we'll be back for two months from July on. Why? Cause one month simply wasn't enough. Katya is amazing and has thought of everything. From the complete kitchen, to local beers and wine basement, the arts and craft room, cozy living room, complete rooms with A/C, but most of all: the GARDEN. I fell in love with it. Furthermore, there is a park right next to the coliving, some stores closeby for your basic needs and the city is a 20 min. bus ride away (as well as the sea). The community is vibrant and this is all thanks to Katya. Every sunday we have breakfast together and plan the week. From boat trips to dinners and movie and game nights, there was never a dull day. Can't wait to be back next month! To every remote worker of digital nomad, if you're looking for the best coliving, Burgas is the place to be!

Burgas Coliving is easily in my top 3. From the moment we arrived and were welcomed like family, we knew it was going to be something special—and it turned out even better than expected. Laughs, smiles, joy, peace, connection, collaboration, sharing, fun, late-night talks, and pure enjoyment are just some of the things that come to mind when I think of this place.
It really has everything you’d want if you're working remotely and still want to connect with others. You can enjoy a quiet moment in a hammock, share a few beers in the nearby park, head out into the city, or spend the day at the beach. I could keep listing things, but you get the picture.
As for the space itself—one of the best I’ve stayed at in my ~4 years of traveling. It feels like every detail has been thoughtfully considered. Comfortable rooms, a cozy and relaxed living area, a truly amazing garden, a beautiful cava, a proper coworking space, and a fully equipped kitchen.
And then there’s the human side. Katya brings such a bright, open energy that you feel it in every corner of the house. The team around her is just as thoughtful and welcoming—genuinely good people who make the experience even richer.
I honestly can’t recommend Burgas Coliving enough. If you’re thinking about it, just press "Reserve." You won’t regret it.

I am here with my boyfriend for two months and we would love to come back next year again! The Coliving and the area are just amazing. It has everything you need. The kitchen is well equiped and every week we are doing a family dinner all together. During the week there are different activities for every evening. From watching the moon rise at the sea to bonfires and workout schedules there is something for everybody. The outside area ia nice as well lots of space an outdoor yoga/ workout deck and hamocks& bean bags.
The wifi was always super good!
Just a two minute walk from the property there is a new spa that opened in 2024. The entry is 15 euro and they have a sauna steam bath, pools everything you need. Would really recommend.
On weekends you can do trips to nessebar (unesco town), warna or sozopol. All amazing places to see.
Katya the manager of the places welcomes everybody with open arms and really takes care of you if you have an issue or something you need help with!

I loved my time at Burgas Coliving and would highly recommend as a coliving in Bulgaria. It’s the perfect place for digital nomads, with meeting rooms and a sizeable coworking space with plenty of desks and high speed internet. There is so many amenities on the property like table tennis, yoga, a bonfire and bbq. There is also an art room and activities each day to participate in if you like.
It’s in a great location, a short bus ride away from the city and beaches. There are markets and shops really close by (maybe 100m) and a local park nearby. Katya is an amazing host and you can feel the love she put into Burgas Coliving.

I've stayed in multiple colivings and this one is hands down one of my faves! I never had a summer where I spent so much time outdoors; chilling, working and eating in the garden is a DREAM if you're usually stuck in a city apartment. This coliving has everything, from AC in the room, to plenty of art & craft supplies, to a basketball hoop in the garden and a wine room - you can easily entertain yourself without leaving the property. Also Burgas was a pleasant surprise, I loved buying super fresh fruit & veggies in the shops down the road, our weekly Friday dinners in town and spending weekends on the beach. And last but not least: amazing host and community! Already dreaming of coming back :)

After staying at Burgas Coliving twice (a total of 4 months), I feel it's time to share my thoughts.
This coliving space is truly special and has something for everyone. If you enjoy nature, being outdoors, and need some time to unwind, this is the place. If you love the sun, sea, and beach, it's just a 20-minute bus ride away. And if you like dining out or exploring, there are plenty of affordable options nearby.
The house and property are fantastic. It has everything you need while still feeling cozy and homey. The rooms and coworking space have AC, which is a lifesaver in the summer. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking ambitious family dinners, and the garden, along with the yoga room in the second building, offers lots of ways to stay active and keep up with your workout, stretching, or yoga routines, no matter the weather.
Nearby, there are great facilities like a big park with a craft beer brewery, a public pool to cool off in, several grocery stores, a spa with healing mineral water, multiple restaurants, and even a new wellness center with a state-of-the-art gym.
And I can't forget to mention Katya, the owner. She's an incredible person who goes out of her way to make sure you feel at home, no matter who you are. She has a great eye for detail and will make your stay truly wonderful.
After two years of traveling and staying in different colivings, this is the first one we returned to, and not just for a short visit, but for 3 whole months. That alone says it all!

My 2 month stay at Burgas Coliving just came to an end and I have to say it's the best coliving I've been to so far. The place is a bit remote but still it just takes 20 minutes to go to the center of Burgas or the beach. This combination plus the perfect working conditions, make it a perfect place for getting stuff done but also offers a lot of activities. (Beach days, having a salt & mud bath, learning how to bake bread in the "secret bakery", skillshares, arts and crafts nights, hikes, you name it.) The host is very very lovely, super passionate and always around in case you need something. :)
Usually after 2 months in one place I have the inner feeling that it's time to move on to the next destination. In Burgas it was very hard to leave and I think that says it all about my stay. I'll be back for sure! ❤️

Had an absolutely incredible time at Burgas Co-Living for 16 days this September. Tony and Katya, the owners, are warm, friendly and awesome hosts. The other co-livers were wonderful and I made several new friends during my time here. As locals, Tony and Katya have great info on all the best things happening around Burgas, and I feel like I got to see and do so many cool things while also getting some work done at the co-living. Cannot more highly recommend this place!

Burgas Coliving will be your home away from home. I originally intended on staying for 2 weeks, but extended my stay to two months. It's a place where you can find the perfect balance of putting your head down to work and socialising. I recently spent 5 amazing weeks at Burgas Coliving with my partner and let me tell you, it's a place like no other. I was going through a hectic work phase, and Burgas turned out to be a haven of tranquility.
No matter where I chose to work - the quiet gardens or the comfortable, AC-equipped coworking space, I could focus and get loads done. It was just the perfect work environment I was looking for.
But Burgas is more than just a fantastic place to work. It's a vibrant community of diverse and friendly folks from around the globe. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and part of the group.
Katya and Tony, the hosts, are just amazing. They pour their hearts into this place, and it shows. They organize tons of activities. We're talking everything from group games and skillshare nights to BBQs and secret birthday parties. Not to mention, weekly brunches with family meetings, Tuesday crepes, and loads of outdoor adventures like beach trips, sunset viewings, spa days, and even beer tasting! There was always something fun to do when work was done.
I also want to give a big thanks to the volunteers, Jules, Daniela, Alona, and Blake. They do a great job keeping everything running smoothly and making sure everyone feels at home.
In summary, if you're looking for a place that combines a great work environment with a fun and caring community, you've got to check out Burgas Coliving. It's more than just a coliving space; it's a place where work and life truly balance out.
Can't wait for my next stay at Burgas!

Burgas Coliving is the 8th coliving I’ve stayed with, and it has easily been my favorite experience so far. The hosts, Tony and Katya, are so passionate about creating a space that allows for productivity, creativity, and relationships to blossom.
There’s a theme of transition and progression at Burgas, where people that come here seem to grow in their careers or start new dreams, and I’ve experienced that for myself - and my excitement for my new path has been supported and encouraged every step of the way!
The house itself is lovely. Extremely well renovated without feeling overly modern and out of place. ACs in the rooms, soft sheets which are changed weekly, and the best hot water pressure I’ve ever had from a shower in my life. There are plenty of places, inside and out, to lounge, be social, or do some work, so even when the house is full, I’ve never felt cramped.
What’s even better is that they’re just getting started. They’re working on renovating another building on the property which will have even more common areas for colivers to use in the future, so I am already excited for my next visit back!
This is coliving as it’s meant to be.

Wow, what can I say? Tony & Katya are amazing and what they’ve created in Burgas is amazing.
Every single bit of detail, they’ve considered. The building is vast, but the wifi in every corner of the building and even outside the property, is so so quick. In the bedrooms they have fast flowing hot water and AC to control your own temperature!
Soooo many amenities that I couldn’t possibly list them all but simply put… they have everything you’d need for a great coliving experience! Thanks so much K&T, we’ll be back 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Amazing Place and host!
This is my 10th day here and it has been amazing.
From the start they were very helpful with talking to a taxi company to make sure they are sending me to the right place.
Right when I got there they met me outside with big smiles and open arms (and home made pasta since it was late evening for dinner)
I then went up to my room which was beautiful, it has its own balcony, AC Unit, and ample room for all my stuff.
The following day I woke up was able to use all there top of the line appliances to make some breakfeast.
On the property they have everything from almost a full bar or beer and wine to different games outside.
10 days in and I have 0 complaints, this is perfect for people that want to hang around some cool people, live a more quiet life style, and see the beautiful country of Bulgaraia

I spent four weeks in Burgas coliving and the only thing I regret is not staying longer. This was my first coliving experience and I don't think I could have picked a better destination.
The accommodation is well-equipped with everything you could possibly need, as well as a number of additional facilities and activities, including a huge television, table tennis table, basketball hoop and pétanque field.
These facilities, and the spacious communal areas, ensure that you are never bored and provide ample opportunity to socialise with the other colivers. The spaces have been decorated expertly with lots of additional, thoughtful touches which result in Burgas coliving feeling more like a home than just another stop on the road.
The wonderful accommodation is only matched by the wonderful hosting skills of Tony, Katya and Sasha, who combine to ensure that you feel like part of the family and that your stay is a memorable one.
Personal highlights were the private wine and rakia tastings and, of course, the legendary Mitko.

Burgas Coliving was one of the best Coliving experiences I've ever had.
It is located in a smaller town next to Burgas (but you get everything you need there) and Burgas is just 30 min away by bus (from door to door). Next to the coliving, you can find a forest with some hiking trails where you have a beautiful view over Burgas.
Inn the Coliving, you have different places you can go: either the huge green garden (with cute dogs and cats), the coworking space, the living room (with a big tv) or just sit down in the coridor on the comfortable sofas (that was always my favourite place to read a book). The kitchen has everything you need. Even tho you miss something, they make sure you get it as soon as possible. The rooms are spascious and have a desk (which is a huge plus if you have a call).
Katya, Tony and Sasha made the time there unique. They showed us Burgas and other beautiful places nearby. They introduced the Bulgarian culture to us with typical Bulgarian fish at the bonfire or Rakia tasting.
Burgas Coliving is the perfect place to calm down and reconnect with yourself and the nature. There is enough space, whether you want to be alone or with other Colivers.
Thank you Katya, Tony & Sasha for this amazing experience.

I stayed 6 weeks at "Burgas Coliving" and this was amazeballs!
Katya and Tony have such a strong positive energy. It's contagious. Add on top of that Mitko the anti-stress cat, and you'll understand why people feel good there :)
The place is outstanding. There's everything you want and everything works! At some point I thought I was in a summer camp: ping-pong, pétanque, basketball, workout equipment, board games, hammocks, big tv screen, fire pit, beer and wine bar (dangerous though).
The location is great as well. Next to a park and a pool. There's a bus that goes to the city center often. And I think the best thing is that I didn't hear any french person in 6 weeks!!
I threw napkins in a club for the first time in my life. But to understand what that means you have to go there and live like a local ;)
I'll be back for sure.

Exceptional place! Highly recommend Burgas Coliving to everyone who is working remotely. We spent the entire month of May and had the most amazing time.
Extremely fast internet, comfortable office space, all amenities to work outdoors in the magical garden, very comfortable rooms, friendly and supportive international community. In addition to all that there's just so much to see in the region - from large sandy beaches to beautiful mountains and cute old town with plenty of culture & history.
Delicious food, wine and kraft beer - everything you need for an unforgettable coliving experience!

Staying at Burgas Coliving was a great experience.
The hosts, Katya and Tony, are very warm & welcoming.
You can tell how much thought and love they put into modernizing the old hotel but keep some of its character at the same time.
The garden is amazing, with lots of seating, tables, beautiful lights for the nights, BBQ spot, hammocks... There are two dogs on the property, very gentle and rather shy - and I enjoyed watching them play while having my morning coffee.
I have to admit that I totally underestimated how good the food is in Bulgaria. Whether it was at the house (e.g. Monday BBQ with Katya's homemade chickpea patties or Sunday pancakes) or at the restaurants. There is a great place for fish south of Burgas in a little harbor, ask them about it when you like seafood :) And make sure to try different cheeses as well!
Regarding wine and beer, Tony can give you wonderful recommendations (and he brews craft beer - very tasty!!) and there is a wide variety to choose from at the house.
On a more practical note: There are small grocery shops, pharmacy, bakery, ATM, bus stops to Burgas in walking distance.

Burgas Coliving is a true gem! For me it was the best coliving experience so far.
Words cannot describe how wonderful I felt during my one month stay here. It used to be an old communist spa hotel. Katya and Tony (the hosts) renovated it and turned it into something very special. Everything is made with huge attention to detail. Katya and Tony hand made lots of furniture - e.g. working table in the coworking room is upcycled from the scaffolding desks, and the table in the corridor is made from old suitcase. They painted the colorful wall in thhe coworking themselves as well. And there are many more details like this that create a unique atmosphere of this place (old vintage radio, beautiful pictures on the walls, bright rooms, curtains, cute table lamps, mosquito nets in the windows). Each room is named after the letters from old Bulgarian alphabet - Glagolitza. But the best place in the entire Burgas coliving is the garden! You will fall in love with it for sure! It is a perfect place to have a morning coffee, chat with others, parties, bonfires, BBQs. And yes, you can even work from the garden as the internet is super fast there.
Another great thing is that there are the entire wine and beer rooms in the cellar - and that means endless supply of delicious craft beers and best Bulgarian wines (yes, you can buy them in the coliving:)).
The neighbourhood is very safe and quiet. There is a beautiful park 5 mins away from the coliving. Perfect place for an afternoon stroll.
Katya and Tony will greet you with open arms, help you with everything, organize BBQs, Sunday breakfasts, bake banitsa for everyone, give ideas for trips. They are amazing :)
I keep my fingers crossed so that Burgas Coliving becomes a well-known spot on the digital nomad map :) I barely left and I am already thinking of coming back here! See you soon! <3

I stayed with Burgas Coliving for 3 weeks during its inauguration month and was blown away: the place has so much warmth, a super charming garden, flawless wifi and there is attention to detail in everything. Did I mention the wine- and craftbeer cellar?
I am the type of person, who has many calls during her workday. For this, working from my room was perfect. For focus /quiet work I really liked working from the beautiful coworking space or garden (yes, the internet is perfect there!)
As for things to do around, there is plenty: the city of Burgas, beautiful beaches and the cities of Sozopol or Nesebar.
I can thoroughly recommend this place and can't wait to be back 💜

Amazing Coliving Outside of Schengen!
The building is clean, airy and has beautiful custom furnishings and fun local artwork. It has a great coworking space, a beautiful kitchen and a large and welcoming living/dining. It also has a fully stocked wine and local beer room, highly recommend grabbing a drink and heading to the garden. The garden is where you will spend most of your time and it’s the perfect place for morning yoga, working, afternoon beer, gathering around the fire pit, evening dance parties, etc.
The area is conveniently located, close to the city proper so you have access to everything Burgas has to offer like the sea garden, beaches and restaurants, but it’s far enough that you have a spacious and quiet place to relax. Great little shops/markets within walking distance with a surprisingly large amount of vegan friendly options.
The hosts are the best part, they are the most incredible people with giant hearts who make you feel welcomed instantly.
Will be back, love that this place is outside of Schengen!
