Ruralco Coliving

From November 1st to November 30th, 2025, the two of us stayed at Ruralco – our very first experience in a co-living/co-working space – and we would do it again in a heartbeat. Oscar, the owner, is incredibly friendly, extremely hardworking, and always ready to help – along with the volunteers. He organizes excursions, pick-up services, shopping, and is always there to listen. You can tell that he and his team do everything they can to make all the guests feel comfortable. There's plenty to do on-site: long walks and hikes, padel, table tennis, basketball, video games, or simply sitting together with great people, chatting, and exchanging ideas. At the same time, there's a very respectful atmosphere, so you can work really well and quietly – even though it was fully booked in November. Thanks to Oscar and the volunteers, everything is spotlessly clean and tidy, and you immediately feel at home. If you like, you can join in the team cooking – it's entirely optional. There's a lot to do on-site: long walks and hikes, padel, table tennis, basketball, video games, or simply sitting together with great people, chatting, and exchanging ideas. What we especially loved: We were able to use and improve our Spanish skills with Oscar and fellow residents from Chile and Venezuela – this made our stay even more personal. We also didn't have to worry about practically anything related to food: shopping, planning, and cooking (whether vegan, vegetarian, or omnivorous) were all organized by Oscar and the volunteers. This gave us an incredible amount of free time and made our stay super relaxed and enjoyable. We didn't regret our stay for a single second and can wholeheartedly recommend Ruralco to anyone who wants to combine work and community in a relaxed and respectful environment. 🙌 Thank you so much!!! 🥰

Highly recommended experience. A tranquil oasis with all the facilities for working remotely and sharing time with a community of digital nomads. Oscar's efforts to ensure everyone is comfortable are evident and greatly appreciated. I was also positively struck by the fact that many of the guests were returning, a good sign of the satisfaction with the overall experience.

I had a really great time volunteering with Oscar and Nara. The work was varied and fulfilling and I definitely learned a lot along the way as it relates to maintaining a rural life. If you come in that capacity you will find meaning in the morning tasks. As a guest I applaud the frequency of meals, activities, and coming together of everyone multiple times a day. The consistent time together is what makes the experience of RuralCo so unique and meaningful, in the connections developed. I'm so happy with the people I met. All who came appreciate the setting and way of life experienced at RuralCo. It seems like this place is attracting nice people in search of a more balanced lifestyle. The building itself is built well with ample space to work. The Culla region resides in an idyllic mediterranean hilly landscape. A great place to hike and explore, no doubt. Biking can be challenging but possible. If you want to explore the region deeper on your own schedule, I recommend renting or bringing a car.

One of the best colivings you can find in the world. I've been there 4 times so far and I'll go back for sure. Óscar and Nara are simply amazing and make the coliving and the community vibrate on another level. The area is remote but you won't miss the city, just let yourself enjoy the nature and the relaxed pace. You will love it for sure, you don't have to worry about wifi or anything like that for your job. The coworking is well prepared, with comfortable chairs and big desktops and you have several rooms to take your meetings. Just go and stop reading reviews, you won't regret it!!!

I had an absolutely unforgettable time at RuralCo. Oscar and Nara are incredibly kind, authentic, and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The location itself is nothing short of magical, surrounded by breathtaking, untouched nature. I highly recommend everyone to experience the rural charm there!

Of all the places I've visited, this coliving experience is one I highly recommend. You can breathe in the tranquility and fresh mountain air, with Culla nearby to enjoy its charm and plenty of hiking trails to explore. I love the coliving itself, with excellent internet and a great atmosphere. Absolutely fantastic!

This was my first coliving and this place blew my expectations away! The community was very respectful and kind, the host is very amicable, friendly, and goes out of his way to ensure you are doing well and having fun. The accommodation was minimal but comfortable. The coworking space is spacious and a good place to concentrate. But I had to take video calls in my room since there wasn't a dedicated phone booth/room for taking video calls. The Internet was very fast most of the time (150 mbps up & down), though very occasionally the Internet will disconnect. Nonetheless, the Internet was very consistent while I stayed there. Overall, if you're looking for a very peaceful, tranquil countryside coliving space that has a community that organizes regular activities and cool people to meet, I highly recommend this place.

I had an amazing time there! Feeling at home in less than a week, able to be productive and meet amazing people. Oscar knows how to make you feel welcome and he makes the best paella ever!

I was truly surprised by the place, the scenery, and the atmosphere. A group of friends and I spent New Year's Eve there with the other guests. The owner, Óscar, was an amazing host. He made us feel right at home, and he's also a fantastic cook. I recommend it 1000%. I'll definitely be back.

We had an amazing stay, a super peaceful place with plenty to do. The rooms were spacious and everything was very clean, and the kitchen was beautiful and fully equipped. We'll be back often, and thank you for being a home away from home. For our farewell, he made us a world-class paella. Pepe and Estrella are the sweetest; you'll meet them when you come. I 100% recommend it for remote work, relaxation, or making friends/family away from home.

An amazing co-living place in the beautiful mountains and hills of Culla. A huge house with amazing company, blazingly fast wifi, home cooked meals and trails and clear night skies. Come to connect with nature and wash away your stress. Oscar is an amazing host, this place will never disappoint. We also have two pet donkeys called Pepe and Estrella

Coliving space in a great location near Culla, where events such as an outdoor cheese and wine tasting are also held, which we attended.

Absolutely fascinating! What a magical place to connect with nature and with people. Oscar's work in bringing people from all over the world together in a secluded spot in the heart of nature is truly admirable. Spectacular food, very comfortable rooms, and super affordable. THANK YOU RURALCO 🥰

Great place for peaceful co living and working

What an amazing place!! We came to RuralCo to find a good place to focus on work and we found that and much more!! The people is amazing. We shared our stay with digital nomads, headhunters, developers, etc. Everyone with a positive mindset and a joy to share our stay with. We made great friends. The Host (and owner of RuralCo) is a great person, who was always looking to improve our stay. He always promotes fun things to do over the weekends, we shared meals, did kayaks, went to the beach, went for a hike, went to do a zipline, etc. The food ... it needs a separate review. Spectacular! Each one cooked one day a week and did the best to share their local cuisine. So we ate great food and learned a lot. Be aware, there is a LOT of amazing food. The place, is perfect. Away from the caos of the cities, with a great cowork and meeting rooms, and the sleeping rooms were great also. So, a perfect coliving. We will definitelly come back.

RURALCO is your home away from home! Not only is the setting stunning and tranquil, Oscar, the owner and host, is a special soul, warm, kind, generous and catering to your every need. You will meet people from all over the world, enjoy amazing food and experiences and basically have the time of your life- hands down garanteed. Its not every day you find such a magical gem surrounded by mountains and beautiful sunsets. Do yourself a favor and book it :)

How to start ? Ruralco still this little hidden gem for anyone looking for peace, who want to discover local culture / tradition and work remotely at the same time. My first time was in December 2020 and I still stay there a few times a year. Infrastructures / facilities are in perfect conditions, a lot of space, both workspace, chill areas and kitchen / bar. You will get your own big room with private bathroom. A place with a real soul, off the beaten-paths, far-away from the famous “Colivings” that’s looks more about a “Jet-Set club” than a real place to work from and feel / vibrate with the local culture. Thank you Oscar and all the team :) keep going !

After spending a week in the coliving space with my partner, we have nothing but words of gratitude. Nestled between two villages, the place offers tranquility, peace, and quiet. We went on holiday to explore the area and set our own pace. Using the kitchen, the outdoor space, and the work area was a real pleasure. It's undoubtedly a place where you feel right at home, without any disturbances. Óscar, the owner and manager, helped us every step of the way, from offering us cherries from his orchards and recommending places to visit (including shops where you can buy local products directly, like Els Masets) and telling us about the area, to taking us to see the mill they've preserved on the property. And we mustn't forget to thank him for all his help and attention with the car trouble we had. If you're looking for a relaxing stay, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, and an environment that fosters concentration and creative thinking, choosing Ruralco is a sure bet :)

Our stay at Ruralco has been incredible! Firstly the location is breathtaking. It’s the ideal place to disconnect and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Also, Oscar, the host, was an absolute sweetheart! We did lots of cool activities together and shared many great meals! On top of that, it was great to work. The Wifi was working perfectly and we were super comfortable. We were supposed to stay one week but we ended up leaving after 3 weeks with a heavy heart.

A fantastic location for rural tourism, hiking, and cycling. The villages of Culla and Benassal are beautiful and very close to this house. A great atmosphere with people from different countries. Everything is new, ideal for sleeping in peace and quiet, and a super comfortable mattress :-)

We had an amazing time at RuralCo! Thank you to Oscar. He has been an amazing host with us, cooking paella, sharing wine, cheese and visiting around! We only stayed for a week but I will definitely come back around summer time. Don't hesitate and stop by!

It's impossible to describe in just one review how wonderful my week at Ruralco was. The setting is a tranquil valley with a lake at its foot, where a stroll at sunset or in the wonderful midday sun will leave you feeling at peace and in harmony with yourself and your surroundings. The house is very well maintained, with a perfect workspace that includes office chairs, good Wi-Fi, power outlets, good lighting, and, best of all, a fireplace that is both warming and relaxing. There's nothing like working to the crackling of the wood fire. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need for your cooking (stovetop, oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher...). In fact, we prepared spectacular meals there, from lamb to zucchini omelets made with produce from the owner's garden. There are common areas for reading or watching a movie, board games, and even a gym upstairs, next to a terrace where you can hang your laundry if you decide to use the washing machine. You can even take the elevator up to your room if you've had a long day! The rooms are very nice. Each room has its own private bathroom, including a shower, sink, and toilet. You'll also find towels, pillows, bedside tables, and a double bed where you can sleep amidst the absolute peace of the valley. I don't know how long it will take me to find sleep like that again. But without a doubt, the best part of the stay was the company. Óscar, the owner and manager, is a delightful person. He goes out of his way to make you feel at home, providing whatever you need, helping with everything, always willing to listen to suggestions... And, above all, creating a wonderful atmosphere that you can feel from the moment you walk in. The first three days I was alone with him, and he took me for beers in Culla, brought his friends over for dinner, and we had a fantastic time. He took me in his Land Rover to collect firewood for the fireplace, and suggested some hiking routes... Later, another guy arrived, and the three of us made a really fun group. We had a fantastic time bowling, playing board games, cooking, and learning from each other... I could write this review endlessly and do nothing but praise, but to conclude, I'll just say that I'm taking away a fantastic experience, a lasting peace, and above all, two friends I hope to see again at Ruralco or wherever life may bring us together.

Ruralco is a truly magical and tranquil place in the middle of the mountains. If you are looking for peace and inspiration while working, this is the place for you. Anna, Oscar and Carlota are the best hosts you can imagine - you immediately feel welcome and part of the Ruralco community. Prepare yourself for some delicious community dinners (and test yourself in the art of paella making), cozy movie and competitive game nights or make yourself comfortable and dig into a book in the living room. Rooms are cozy and clean and come with an ensuit bathroom at a great value for money. If you are planning on coming during late autumn or winter, bring an extra sweater as it does get cold especially during the night. However, Anna was always very attentive and provided one with blankets if needed. There is also plenty to do around Ruralco - go for a hike in Ruralco's beautiful valley, have a lunch in picturesque Culla or do a day trip to nearby Morella or the beach. If you enjoy the outdoors, you won't get bored. I came to stay for few weeks but ended up leaving after 2 whole months. I will definetly come back and advise everyone to come and checkout Ruralco. :)

An incredible experience of living (literally) in the mountains! We thoroughly enjoyed sharing spaces and activities with other people (sometimes we'd have a movie night, or go trekking in the mountains, or share a meal together) and also having our own private space to relax. The place is beautiful and comfortable for those looking for a unique work environment but who also want the convenience of taking a break to go for a walk or simply do some sightseeing. Furthermore, RuralCo promotes local consumption and respect for nature, and there's always someone (the staff or the colivers) willing to lend a hand if needed :) We loved the experience and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to connect with nature and other people!

A wonderful experience! I'd never been to a coworking space, much less a coliving one, but after all this stress, I needed to clear my head and get away to the mountains. I found this farmhouse in Culla (a beautiful village well worth visiting) and decided to give it a try! I've been here for a week and I'll definitely be back. The rooms are clean and have their own bathroom (which is much appreciated and gives you privacy). The staff and everyone I met were incredibly attentive and friendly. We even shared walks in the mountains, an afternoon of games, and a few meals together. As for the office, it's very well set up. They have a room for phone calls or video calls, as well as huge tables for organizing and working from home (the chairs are also very comfortable). I hope to return soon. Very good place, surrounded by nature and tranquility, to spend a few days working. The atmosphere is perfect to concentrate without thinking about the headaches of everyday life. The very good food and the very friendly service are a few more in the house.

I needed a change of scenery and to disconnect from the city routine, so I came to spend three weeks here. The atmosphere is fantastic: waking up to the scenery, the tranquility, working and living in the same place, saving time on transportation, shopping, and unnecessary distractions—it was exactly what I needed! Thank you for your hospitality, I hope you have a great time :)

The area is spectacular. I enjoy mountain sports and hiking. Not a week goes by when I don't enjoy a good walk. Recommended if you're overwhelmed by the city.

Great option if you want a break from the city. The surroundings are stunning and peaceful. The owners are lovely and very helpful, plus they have a donkey! I definitely recommend it and will go again.

I was pleasantly surprised that a coliving space in this area had a vegan option.
