So, this review will be split into private rooms and dorms. They are very different... if you want a private, this is a decent place to stay. But for dorms, you are much better off at U Co Roma (10 minutes away). So the privates are nice, very clean, very spacious. They really need a fan or basic air conditioning as they can get very hot, and they can be a bit loud too, but they're nice enough. The toilets are usually very clean, and they even provide towels for free. They also have free, communal toiletries. If you stay there long term, you may consider investing in a basic desk fan, but overall, a positive experience. The 4 bed dorms, however, are frankly substandard. The room in the basement was not clean at all. There was water dripping from the ceiling, and it had flooded badly the night before we stayed there. Furthermore, several guests have been robbed there recently. There were no locks as there were no doors to the dorm, and we were only provided with a very small locker. I spoke to the cleaner about moving rooms. I am not a fussy person as I am backpacking right now, but the dorm was very far from what was advertised. She was very friendly and professional with directing me to the manager. She is also learning English, which is very appreciated, as my Spanish is quite basic. The manager then swapped us into the U Co Roma dorms without any hassle. So the service was good, but I don't think it's fair to put their 4 bed dorm in the basement at this price point. We were also lucky that they were still around, as the hostel is usually entirely unattended in the evenings.

Be careful, it is a very unsafe place. No security between 6pm and 10am. whoever knows the code to enter the main door can go in and get whatever, because internal doors has no locks/keys. the keyboard to enter the code is exposed to the street so it is not very hard to see it. A few times somebody broke in, and despite the team efforts nothing really changed in terms of security gears. I would not recommend it, especially to digital nomads.

Hostal de tipo "co-working" super chido con buen ambiente y perfectamente ubicado en medio de la Zona Rosa y a escasos pasos de las zonas muy de moda como Roma Norte y Condesa. Amenidades buenas con capsula para un poco mas de privacidad y camas confortables. Pasé varias semanas por alli y pude trabajar sin problema desde la zona comun o las habitaciones mismas. Hay buen ambiente, sin embargo no hay demasiado ruido de noche e imponen horas silenciosas a partir de las 10. Todos los empleados y los duenos son muy buena onda y ayudan a dar un poco de ambiente. Si os toca Flor lo van a pasar muy padre!

I had a great couple of weeks at U-Co Juarez. It provides the social aspect of a hostel but also with co-working and peace when necessary. It's also nice to have a capsule with a door for privacy. The place was extremely clean, there were plenty of facilities such as a kitchen and laundry, and it had a real homey vibe. The staff were all friendly, helpful and Cianny made the whole stay really pleasant for me. Would definitely use again!

I absolutely love this hostel!!! Not a party hostel by any means but still very lively and communal. Since it’s a coworking hostel, I was worried about it being low energy but I was quickly proven wrong from day 1. I appreciate how friendly all the staff is, they’re always willing to help with anything and provide recommendations around the city. The group chat is also an easy way to meet people and jump in on different activities. The rooms and bathrooms were both very clean and the kitchen was definitely the cleanest I’ve ever seen in a hostel. In two weeks, I think I only had to wait for a bathroom once which was nice. Wifi was great for work and Zoom calls. The only downside I found was that the noise tends to carry at night, but with ear plugs, it was not a problem for me. No doubt I’ll be staying at U-Co again next time I’m in CDMX!

My first time in Mexico. It's a very nice hostel. It's a remote work friendly hostel in which you can find desks to work and lots of plugs for your devices. They have rules for being quiet at night. They provide towels, soap, shampoo (very good one), hand soap and lotion. It's a really nice vibe. All the staff is very friendly, kudos to Perlita and Ciany. You'll have a charger by your bed and a little table to put your phone. You have access to the fridge and the kitchen, there's tap water that is drinkable. I complained because they have a world map painted on the wall and my country wasn't yhere. They allowed me to draw my country. It was a nice detail, same as my name written by my bed. Thanks so much!

Their location is perfect, walking distance to many landmarks in CDMX and very close to the subway station and metrobus station. U-Co Juarez became my home away from home in CDMX! Things I loved: It was a great place to meet other digital nomads & long-term travelers who had the same schedule as I did. The dorm rooms have a great set up that allow for privacy and the beds are very comfy. The staff is incredible and the place is kept clean. The area has a great vibe and is walking distance from Roma/Condesa as well as convenient to hop on public transport from. The people I met and experiences I had because of U-Co. Things that could use improvement: The "coworking" areas really aren't anything special but, you can make do—there are decent number of seats and the hostel ensures the WiFi is always up & running. The kitchen is a small but, not much you can do about that (everyone does have dedicated pantry buckets & space in the fridge, which I really appreciated). Ultimately, I left a piece of my heart at U-Co Juarez and will absolutely be back!

This Hostel will make you feel like family. Juan, Heather, and Louis are the nicest people that are running the place. They are so accommodating and are super willing to answer questions and concerns about your stay, the area, and do want to get to know you on a personable and friendly level. The beds with the sliding doors to give you a sense of privacy is a huge plus when sharing the room with others. There is a washer/dryer to use and you can buy soap there or buy them outside. The internet worked great. It's a bit noisy outside but, it's expected when in the big city! Highly recommend staying here you won't regret it.

Staying at U Co quickly becomes a home away from home. The staff here are incredibly attentive. They are helpful, hard working and most of all, they're friendly. Strangers become friends, and friends become family. Michelle was an amazing host. She is attentive to guest's needs, she has a great personality, and she is an amazing dancer! Having staff like her that makes you feel at home is unmatched by any hostel I have stayed at. U Co really has it all. And having Héctor's tacos just steps outside the door just completes the package. Anyone who stays at U Co will tell you that this magician of the grill is an absolute staple to the hostel itself. Whether you're in search of breakfast, lunch , dinner, or a drunken late night snack, Héctor is your man. Amazing people, great facilities, and 24 hour tacos at your fingertips. There is no better definition of UCO than "Family" Clearly, the place is very well located, has good facilities and has a good space to work (with fast internet). Good beds/capsules, good baths, strong wifi, great location, a good social vibe and a small but modern kitchen. There are several very tasty taco stands right outside the front door, and it's only 200m to the Zona Rosa party zone. There is traffic noise from the street at night, and for a "co-working" hostel, they only had a few uncomfortable chairs to use, so it was a bit annoying. If they fix that, it would improve the experience.

La calidez y buena vibra de los encargados del hostal te hacen sentir cómodo y en confianza, las cápsulas son muy cómodas, el baño asi como el área de cocina son muy agradables y se encuentran muy limpios y, aunque yo solo viaje por ocio, me di cuenta de que es un lugar estupendo para trabajar. Me arrepiento de no haber estado hospedado ahí por más tiempo, pero sin duda será una de mis primeras opciones de hospedaje para mi próximo viaje a CDMX.

Nice. A place for grown and working people. Respectful. Perfectly located. You can walk everywhere and in the quarentine, things are open from 1-6pm. Lots of lounging space. The only issue is that there is only one table to work in the center of the hostel. It echoes. You can hear all. Make sure you get the code before you leave the hostel!

I'm going to take a moment to explain exactly why I gave this place 5 stars.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ When I came to Mexico City I only intended to stay at U-CO for one week. I rented a private room and was very pleased by the cleanliness, attention to detail, and friendly nature of the staff. My one week stay turned into one month filled with great experiences and memories that I'll never forget. It's obvious that the owners care about the travelers who work. The internet is great and they do a good job of keeping a tranquil space to get calls made, or handle whatever online duties we need to accomplish. I cannot recommend this place enough. Times were slow during COVID so I opted out of my private room after the first week and moved to a capsule dorm where I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort of the pods. Not at all what I expected and they were even fairly quiet so that I couldn't hear outside noise. I am not the normal hostel goer but this experience with U-CO has set a standard that other hostels are going to have to live up to.
