The architecture of the rooms are very nice and the rooms are big. Mine even had stairs bc the bathroom is downstairs which is very cool! And it was with direct view on the small ‚river‘ 😻 Staff is very polite and there is free water 🌞 Still, on the pictures it looks a little bit more ‚perfect‘ than it is. For me it could have been a little bit more clean. 😊

The Paica – Eine absolute Katastrophe! Nie wieder! Ich kann The Paica absolut niemandem empfehlen. Diese Unterkunft war der schlimmste Albtraum, den ich je erlebt habe. Schon beim Betreten des Zimmers schlug mir ein widerlicher, muffiger Geruch entgegen – als wäre hier seit Jahren nicht gelüftet worden. Doch das war erst der Anfang! Als ich mir das Bett ansah, wurde mir schlecht: Die Bettdecke und das Kissen waren nicht nur dreckig, sondern auch feucht – durchzogen von Schimmel! Wie kann man es wagen, Gästen so etwas anzubieten? Doch es wurde noch schlimmer: Der Boden war voller Krümel und Dreckreste, offensichtlich hatte hier niemand auch nur einen Finger für die Reinigung gerührt. Das Badezimmer war der reinste Horror – etwas so Abstoßendes habe ich in meinem ganzen Leben noch nicht gesehen! Die Decke war komplett verschimmelt, und im Klo befanden sich noch ekelhafte Hinterlassenschaften früherer Gäste. Das Waschbecken war so verdreckt, dass sich eine dicke, klebrige Schmutzschicht darauf abgelagert hatte – es sah aus, als wäre es noch nie gereinigt worden. Die Fliesen an den Wänden waren beschädigt, die Farbe blätterte ab – einfach nur widerlich! Doch der Albtraum hörte nicht im Bad auf: Die Nacht war eine absolute Qual. Ich habe kein Auge zugemacht, denn das Zimmer war voller Ungeziefer! Krabbelnde und fliegende Insekten überall – auf dem Bett, auf dem Boden, an den Wänden. Es war einfach ekelhaft! Ich bin leider erst mitten in der Nacht angekommen und konnte die Unterkunft daher nicht mehr wechseln. Doch hätte ich die Möglichkeit gehabt, wäre ich sofort geflohen! Das war mit Abstand die schlimmste Erfahrung meines gesamten Lebens. Diese Unterkunft gehört sofort geschlossen! Niemand sollte so etwas durchmachen müssen. Ich rate wirklich jedem dringend davon ab, The Paica auch nur in Betracht zu ziehen. Bucht hier auf keinen Fall – es ist eine Zumutung und eine Gefahr für die Gesundheit! Ich hoffe, dass diese Unterkunft bald gesperrt wird. Es ist eine Frechheit, so etwas überhaupt anzubieten. Nie wieder – und ich warne jeden davor, den gleichen Fehler wie ich zu machen!

Sehr nettes Personal. Wir standen allerdings 5min rum bevor jemand kam um einzuchecken. Die Anlage ist sehr herunter gekommen und auch nicht wirklich sauber. Im Zimmer liegen fremde Haare rum. Der Pool könnte mal wieder gereinigt werden. Und es fehlen Möglichkeiten um das Handtuch im Zimmer aufzuhängen.

Ok pour le prix. Personnel très sympathique. Points négatifs : - "Loin" de la plupart des commodités. - Au bout d'une ruelle avec beaucoup se chiens qui semblent assez agressifs (inquiétant avec l'état sanitaire du pays) - Les chambres et SDB ont été aménagées après coup, et ne disposent (pour la notre) d'aucune aération. Résultat tout est humide, tout le temps, rien ne sèche et il y a des traces de moisissures. Il faut clairement percer un trou dans l'un des murs et y installer un petit ventilateur pour recycler l'air.

Saya bisa bilang ini Hidden Gem! Di Bali sudah biasa bahwa sebuah tempat luarnya biasa saja atau bahkan terpencil tapi dalamnya sangat mewah, luas dan sangat bagus! Penginapan ini sangat bagus, ada kolam, bar, dan bahkan pemandangan alam yang sungguh luar biasa! Pegawainya ramah, tempatnya sejuk, rindang, dan sangat nyaman. Saya suka disini, fasilitas lumayan lengkap, bersih. Kekurangannya jalan masuknya kecil, tapi masih muat mobil dan ada tempat parkir untuk mobil jadi tidak perlu terlalu khawatir tentang parkiran mobil.

We stayed in room D on the 2nd floor and that room is quite huge for 2 persons. Love the strong shower and jet shower was broken but the staff fixed it within a few hours. Unfortunately that room has no window so we need to open the door quite often for air circulation. Love to cook in their kitchen! House mates are very friendly feels like long time friends. Owner (bli Kadek) is very kind, we were allowed to stay 1 more day for free!

Lokasi masuk gang lumayan jauh, dan di tengah-tengah ada anjing galak saya sempat digigit (saya naik sepeda motor) Tempatnya sebenarnya bagus, dingin sejuk untuk ukuran Denpasar yang panas. I’ve stayed at The Paica on 4-5 occasions from 2017-2020 and always found it to be exceptionally well managed, wonderfully kind staff always happy to help with great rooms and wonderful guests and terrific prices. It’s in a good location away from the Denpasar madness yet close enough to Canggu / Seminyak / Berawa for comfort. ||||The very comfortable beds ensure a great night’s sleep in this very peaceful jungle-like environment. Guests I have found always to be highly interesting, good people from all parts of the world, many I’ve met here are lifelong friends. I met my partner & future wife here : ) ||||Although Archie & his mate were a minor, brief problem they WERE evicted very quickly and were a once-only unique exception to the Family-like atmosphere that prevails all the times I’ve stayed for months. I’ve never had anything but a happy, comfortable time. ||||Facilities are very good in the common area downstairs and self cooking is available after the supplied breakfast from 11:00am. Or many warnings, restaurants are nearby, GoFood also and Canggu only 10-15 minutes by bike. Tiara Gatsu The great supermarket is 5 minutes by bike as is Dalung close. ||||The cute pool, while adequate caters for the hot lazy days. The selection of rooms is highly varied on 4 levels so should suite all needs. The Paica is a great venue well worth staying!! Highly recommended. I’m back as soon as Bali reopens!!! Tempat bagus, bersih dan nyaman. Staff yang ramah dan flexible. Hanya saja kurang kominikatif kalo nggak ditanya; misal, password wifi, wellcome drink, kebutuhan kamar dll. Fasilitas room semua berfungsi dengan normal, kolam renang kecil yang sejuk dan sepi. Akan menjadi alternatif menginap jika ada keperluan disekitar sini.

The Paica ist ein super nettes kleines hostel. Ideal um abzuspannen. Es ist günstig und die Lage ist sehr ruhig. Trotzdem ist es nicht all zu weit zum Strand. Zum Batu bolong beach sind es ca. 20 Minuten mit dem Scooter. Hinterm Haus ein kleiner Pool und angrenzend der ein kleiner Fluss. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und gibt gerne Tipps für Ausflugsziele. Es ist sauber und die Zimmer werden jeden Tag gereinigt. In der Gemeinschaftsküche wird getratscht, gemeinsam gekocht und ab und zu auch mal Fusball geschaut. Es liegt auch eine kleine Mappe auf mit hilfreichen Tipps mit Infos zur Gegend den Hausregeln und einigen Übersetzungen auf. Alles in allem ein Besuch bzw. einen Aufenthalt wert. 5 Sterne *****

Unfortunately, I had a really bad experience here that caused me to cut my stay short and immediately move to another hotel. My problem is with the American guy Bobby who helps run The Paica and his friend Archie, and want to put out a warning that The Paica is not a safe place for LGBT, black, or female travelers. On my first night, I was invited to drink with them, and as the night went on, the conversation seriously crossed some lines. I am a gay guy, and Bobby and his friend ended up going on a homophobic tirade to my face, going so far as to threaten violence, and also basically say that they would kill their kids if they turned out to be gay. On top of that, they also went after a female guest, wanting to know how much they would have to pay her to have sex with them, and ended up barging into her room while she was naked. She was furious of course. Also part of this conversation was about how it's totally cool for white guys to say n*gga, and Bobby's Russian friend was going on about how it's his duty as a Russian to hate black and gay people. Again, they are not guests, but partners of the owner and are always there. I felt massively disrespected. Assuming Bobby is going to read this, I want to let you know bro, whatever your personal views are, as someone running a hospitality business you have got to grow up and learn to treat your guests with respect. I actually liked the Paica, I've stayed at the place before, and the design and price are great. But now I'm going to have to warn people, if you don't want to be part of this bigoted bro-fest, stay far away from the Paica. To Kadek, the owner, I would have a serious talk with Bobby about his behavior at your establishment. Hope you can learn from this.

I did the booking with Booking.com, the price was really good and the lowest among all booking website, and on top on that, Booking.com offered free taxi from the airport to the hotel. The hotel offered to pick us up for IDR200,000, before that I already checked O-Jek they are charging only IDR107,000 for pickup.||||The lane into the hotel is hard to miss if you don't keep an eye out for it, it's a small lane that fits only one car. We were riding in an Avanza, he was having a hard time reversing as cars and bikes were parked around the property. Finally he managed to.||||We arrived pretty late about 2.30am, nobody was at the reception except guest. I tried knocking on the staff door but nobody answered so I called the property and someone picked up, he say he will contact his staff to allow us into the room. ||||Our room is sort of like a duplex, downstairs is very spacious toilet. There's no TV in the room. There's a dead bug on the bed but not a big deal. The room is quite spacious but I think the bathroom is much bigger. The bed is comfy has 2 pillows and 2 bolsters. Air-cond is working good. No bottled water provided, we had to ask from the staff and they gave us a cup. ||||Bathroom has a huge cupboard but there is no hanging space for clothes, more like to keep toiletries. Shower foam/Shampoo is provided however I didn't use it because it didn't look too clean from the appearance. Hot shower is good for first day, second day onwards the hot shower only worked for 10 mins and then lukewarm.||||Garbage was not disposed of properly, its littered around the ground where the scooters are parked even though there is a bin there.||||We rented a scooter with the property for IDR60k/24 hours. Very convenient to get around and definetely very good as Bali traffic is congested and packed with cars. ||You have to checked the total charges for the scooter as the staff recorded the scooter based on the date we checked in and not based on when we rented the bike. He put us for 5 days even though we arrived at 2.30am on the first night and only rented the bike at the following day around 3.30pm. After checking with the owner, he agreed that it was only 3 days.||||Staff is friendly, they greet us when they see us. However we didn't know the usage of the kitchen. We do see other guest helping themself or cooking behind the counter but we didn't dare to. Would be great if we were taught or given the info on how to utilize the facilities.||||But overall a good stay, we were mostly out exploring Bali and only get back to the hotel only at night.

We stayed at the Paica for 2 nights and can definitely recommend it! First of all, it is quiet. It is located in Kerobokan district on a small street, meaning you won't be hearing motorbikes under your window all the time. You might be woken up by a rooster but not by a motorbike :) All people, who work at this place are super friendly. Everything from the beginning till the end was neatly organized. We arrived from Sumba and were picked up and spent a half a day driving around Bukit. The next day we had an idea to see the east part of Bali and Kadek organized again a car with a driver for 10 hours. The offered price was honest! We liked a lot the way of driving, behavior and politeness of the driver. |Breakfast is not included in the room price, which is already super low. However, you can order an omelette and coffee for 15k IDR, which is around 1$. Brewed coffee and nice omelette for 1$! Great value! Rooms are spacious and equipped with AC that is blowing somewhere but not into your head, when you sleep. Comfy bed, hot shower, AC, what else will you need?.. Payment can be done with a credit card (3% tax should be accounted). |If we ever come back to Bali and Denpasar, the Paica will be the place number 1 on our list. |The only minus I could remember about the place is high stairs, which might be an issue for elderly people and for those, who have issues with their knees.

It is a really friendly place! Really good standard. I stayed in the “Jungle Suite” room. If you like the atmosphere of co-living it is perfect place for you. We have spent 3 months there and have had no problems. We had a really beautiful room. Nice kitchen that we were able to share and cook with other people. Additionally there was a nice TV in the room and beautiful jungle views. Actually the staff make it really good that all the people have contact with each other. It’s cool to meet and hang out with people from around the world and a normal hotel doesn’t promote that! Highly recommend The Paica! There is a nice atmosphere of relaxing, community and fun :)

Owners are very friendly, room was clean, light and modern with hot shower, comfy bed and big windows. Staff cook delicious breakfasts. And you can have free cold water, tea and coffee all day. Also a very important thing for me was that there is a big clean common kitchen with whatever you need for cooking! 😌 And you know! That was the best place where we've stayed in our 6 month trip! |

Une seule nuit passée dans cet hôtel. Je vais donner les points positifs puis négatifs : 👍Chambre Spacieuse,grand lit confortable, climatisation, salle de bain avec eau chaude, lavabo, juste ce qu'il faut. Bon petit déjeuner avec omelette aux oignons/tomates même si peu de choix. On peut aussi avoir du jus de fruit pressé et thé ou café. Really nice place to stay. They organised my pick up from the airport for a fair price and helped me sort out some stuff around Bali. Kadek is really helpful and always nice, as anyone else working there. Price is good and you get a proper hotel room. The area is good to get to know local prices and experience normal Bali, as it is not a touristic and loud area like Kuta. Beach is 20mn by scooter, shops pretty close and scooter can be rented on site. The hotel is quiet and I meet some really nice people, not only random backpackers. They also have some big lockers you can rent for weeks, really handy when you want to keep travelling light around Bali. Thanks for all the help, I really enjoyed the stay.

The accommodation is set a little out of the way in Denpasar and is said to be nice and quiet. This was my main reason for booking the accomodation as I had been poorly all week and wanted to recover in peace. The hosts offer a free shuttle bus each morning to the local attractions. The staff were very friendly and welcoming as were the other residents. My single room with private bathroom was clean however it did not have a sink in it so I had to use the shower to wash my hands ect which became a bit of a pain. My first night was lovely and I slept ever so well that I was considering extending my stay however my room had been booked out. After the second night I was kind of glad about this as my neighbours were far less than courteous in the evening and appeared to have some sort of loud meeting outside my bedroom door and on the landing. If I wasn't in bed naked and so poorly I would have dealt with this myself. All in all though the accommodation was fine for what I needed it for. The single room has a large desk for you to complete work at if you do not want to do this in the communal areas.|Also just to mention the stairs to get to the top floor are huge so if you have mobility issues this isn't the best place for you.

Nous y avons séjourné 4 nuits. L'hôtel se trouve dans un petit coin de paradis, très calme et bercé par le bruit de la nature. Les chambres sont grandes, le lit est très confortable et tout est très propre. Seul bémol, pas de fenêtre dans les chambres ou d'aération ce qui fait remonté des mauvaises odeurs qu'on sent beaucoup avec la chaleur... Mis à part ça, le personnel est superbe, souriant et très gentil. ||Recommande pour un court séjour.

Mine was just one night’s stay and part of my review takes into account some concerns that other reviewers have noted. Sleep was perfectly adequate. When I go there the restaurant area was a mess, with garbage piled up in the can- it looked very unappetizing. The owner worked hard to please, good thing, because with one wing in a sling there was no way I could climb the extremely STEEP stairs up two floors with both 48 pound pack and a 20 lb backpack. As it was I nearly fell repeatedly because there is no bannister. Look, I am an athlete, I climb mountains, but I don’t do that with 50 lb pack and a small backpack, and I have hiking poles. This is an accident waiting to happen. Others note the same. Local spots to eat were very hard to find, although I located some fruit but you have to walk on the street along with all the traffic. that can be hair raising at night. I didn’t have breakfast, but after seeing the state of the kitchen, I wouldn’t have anyway. It was good enough for sleep, the AC works, the room was clean and neat, and the shower stall was just fine. There is only a view of rooftops.

Hotel is next to a river in a quiet area. Great for good sleep. Hotel staff is very friendly and polite. Breakfast is cooked freshly every day and served to you. Rooms are spacey with air conditioning. Wifi signal was very weak in the rooms downstairs but in the common kitchen area it was strong. You may encounter termites in the bathroom and small geckos in the room. Not harmful. |Overall it was a pleasant stay without major problems. I recommend it everyone who would like to enjoy a quiet stay away from traffic and noise in Denpasar.

Chambre très grande et lit XXL impeccable, salle de bain immense également et très propre.|Serviette, savons et shampoing présent.|Frigo commun a disposition, possibilité de faire laver son linge rendu bien plié et repassé. Wifi. Restaurant locaux peu cher juste a côté et supermarché a 300m.|Je suis très satisfait de ce lieu, aucune mauvaise surprise, c'est encore mieux que sur les photos...|Merci !

Aside from the good value for money I enjoyed the calm in this hidden guesthouse. Located about an 45-60min drive from the airport (because of heavy traffic) and 20min from the old market it’s very quiet. The staff and the owners are very kind and helpful. Take up their offer on airport transfers as the are a lot cheaper than any taxi.|Breakfast is omelette, toast and coffee/tea. Restaurants with local fare are in walking distance.|

Остановились тут на 8 ночей после поездки на Флорес. Чистенько, уютно, все просьбы выполняют быстро) завтрак:омлет из 2-х яиц, соус, два тоста, вода, фреш и кофе. Завтрак готовят из под ножа. В номерах уборка каждый день. Находится в очень тихом месте, что для меня является несомненным плюсом.

Même si l'hôtel est à Denpasar, on ne se sent pas en pleine ville. Autour de l'hôtel, on retrouve de la végétation et une rivière qui isole l'hôtel d'autres bâtiments. L'hôtel est très propres et la mentalité de l'établissement est agréable : " it's not an hotel, it's not an hostel, it's not an inn, the Paica hotel is where you can meet and live an adventure". Les employés sont très gentils et sont toujours à disposition. L'hôtel offre l'eau potable ce qui facilite les journées de visite. Si vous avez besoin d'aller dans la ville de Denpasar, l'hôtel offre une navette gratuite pour y aller. Les chambres possèdent l'air climatisé ce qui est un plaisir qu'on apprécie avec les températures chaude de Bali. Finalement, le Paica hôtel est un hôtel de Denpasar qui fait oublier Denpasar.

Unser Zimmer war groß und sauber. Wir kamen sehr spät an, wurden dennoch freundlich empfangen. Pflegeprodukte im Bad vorhanden. Sauber und günstig.||||Das Personal - zumindest nachts - spricht schlecht Englisch. Unser gebuchtes Zimmer war bei Anreise nicht verfügbar. Außerdem gab es keinerlei Infos als wir ankamen (Frühstückszeiten etc.). Morgens hatten wir das Gefühl, dass man uns regelrecht zum Auschecken bzw. Abreise drängte, obwohl wir zunächst überlegt hatten, eine weitere Nacht zu bleiben. Wir fühlten uns nicht willkommen. WiFi war schlecht. Das Hotel insgesamt sehr hellhörig. Die Zimmer mit großen Fenstern zum Flur, mit Vorhängen, damit nicht jeder Gast gleich reinschauen kann. Sehr abseits gelegen, für Ausflüge eher schlecht geeignet, für Taxifahrer schlecht zu finden. Es wurde direkt am Hotel gebaut, was morgens früh schon laut war. Insgesamt sind unsere Erwartungen enttäuscht worden. Hatten aufgrund der Bewertungen Besseres erwartet.

Boede på stedet i 2 dage. Ejeren af stedet var virkelig behjælpelig med fx billig taxi. Min veninde og jeg tog fx til Sanur en af dagene, hvor vi Kadek fik os en taxi hjem (vi skrev til ham over Whatsapp) for 100.000 rupiha, og hvor de andre ville have 250.000. ||Herudover er han utrolig snaksaglig - og har et forståeligt engelsk. ||Dog er lokationen på hotellet ikke den bedste, så der er ikke særlig meget i området. Men der er det handy med billige taxi!! ||Sengene er super gode - og så er der en faktisk en dyne! ||Alt i alt et dejlig sted!!

Es una casa increible. Si no recuerdo mal, tiene 4 habitaciones. Las habitaciones son muy cómodas y espaciosas. El baño está muy bien adaptado y dispone de agua caliente.||Tiene cocina para uso común y venden agua y cerveza. Tiene una buena terraza donde pasar el rato.||Los dueños son muy atentos y te consiguen lo que necesites. Nosotros necesitábamos cambiar dinero y ellos nos ayudaron. El desayuno lo preparan ellos, y nos prepararon unas tostadas con miel, platano y queso; el mejor desayuno que hemos probado en Bali. Además de té o cafe.||También dispone de un mapa de la zona que te indica supermercados, piscina pública (fuimos y está muy bien, aunque nos tuvimos que bañar con la ropa de calle), etc.||En resumen, si pasar por Denpasar, alojaros aquí.

Das Guesthouse hat schöne große und saubere Zimmer. Es liegt etwas Abseits, was ich zum Ankommen ganz gut fand. Das Frühstück ist toll, die Familie sehr lieb und sie geben viele gute Tipps. Der Eigentümer hat uns sogar spontan nach Sanur gefahren und uns geholfen eine lokale Fähre zu finden. Das fand ich super nett. Wir sind vor dem Rückflug auch wieder hier gewesen :-)

Отель хороший, новый. находится далеко от дороги, сразу трудно найти. Номер маленький, но чистый и не обшарпанный. Есть терраса и кухня. Понравился дизайн мебели, все такое деревянное. Нравилось завтракать на террасе. Кстати они могут привести еду на заказ.
