I had a wonderful stay at this rural Portugal coliving hostel. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, with plenty of space to work, relax, and connect with other travelers. What made it exceptional was the host’s care and hospitality. They regularly organized family-style dinners that brought everyone together and made the place feel like home. When I fell ill, the host even offered to take me to the hospital. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the Wi-Fi was reliable, and the shared areas were well kept and inviting. It’s an ideal spot for remote workers or anyone looking to slow down and experience genuine community. I left feeling cared for and refreshed. Highly recommended.

Desde el momento de reservar, sabía que había algo muy especial en el lugar. Que un lugar tenga calificación excelente en Google y Booking no es fácil, así que nos convencimos. Desde el primer contacto sentimos la cordialidad de Alex en todo momento. Desde nuestra llegada hasta cada día en el coliving, ha sido como estar en casa. Desde que llegué aquí el tiempo empezó a ir más lento.||Pude dormir más tranquilo, empecé a correr en las mañanas, a comer mejor, a disfrutar del campo en su máxima expresión, con frutas y rutas por doquier. La panadería cercana es un gran plus (amo el pão de avo y la broa de milho) y Mimi, con su deleite cada domingo de delicias de la pastelería, es un encanto.||Las camas son cómodas, la climatización es excelente en todas las áreas y hasta tienes una piscina para los días de calor veraniego. La mascota de la casa es un encanto. Noah, no te olvidaremos.||Los eventos organizados por el anfitrión son toda una pasada: conciertos, fiestas privadas, paseos por los alrededores y las fiestas locales de Roge y Vale de Cambra. Desde que hemos llegado, cada fin de semana hay algo para compartir con la comunidad.||Aquí todos se enamoran del lugar y extienden sus estadías. Muchos tienen dudas al inicio y se quedan poco tiempo, pero siempre vuelven y terminan quedándose más. Así que no duden en reservar más de un mes para aprovechar el mejor precio y la mejor experiencia.

From the moment we booked Coliving The Valley in Portugal, we could feel there was something truly unique about this place. It’s not easy for a place to have excellent reviews on both Google and Booking, but Coliving The Valley delivers on every promise. Alex, the host, made us feel welcome right from the first message, and that warmth stayed with us throughout our stay. This rural coliving experience completely changed our pace. As soon as we arrived, time slowed down. We slept better, started running again, ate healthier, and reconnected with nature in the most beautiful way. Surrounded by lush landscapes, fruit trees, and quiet trails, Coliving The Valley offers the kind of peace you don’t usually find in Europe. One of the biggest surprises? We thought we’d miss the beach… but we didn’t. The rivers around here are crystal clear, perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Hidden spots, calm waters, and zero crowds, it was even better than we expected. We started our own cooking projects, I finished writing my book, and finally found the time and headspace to read again. This place gave us the space to be more intentional and creative with how we live. We also can’t forget Noah, the beautiful pet of the house, always around with a calm presence, reminding us of how good it feels to just be. The nearby bakery is a dream (we’re still thinking about the pão de avó and broa de milho), and every Sunday Mimi brings us local pastry delights to share with the community. The rooms are super comfortable, the temperature is just right in every season, and there’s even a pool for warm summer days. What truly makes this place special is the community. Through weekly events like intimate concerts, local festivals, and group outings to explore the surroundings of Roge and Vale de Cambra, we got to connect with amazing people from all over the world. Most people come to Coliving The Valley thinking they’ll stay just a few weeks, and almost everyone ends up extending. That’s how powerful this experience is. It changed the way I’ll choose my next places to live, in nature, in the countryside, and far from crowded cities. This place didn’t just slow down time. It changed the way we live. So here’s my advice: if you’re looking for a peaceful and inspiring rural coliving in Portugal, book for more than a month. Staying at the VALLEY Coliving was a pleasant, convenient, and at the same time, life-enriching experience. As we are now moving to Portugal after a few "scouting trips", my wife an I knew that the northern region of the country would be an excellent fit for our first month. The coliving space allowed me to be productive at work "from day one"; the fact that other young travelers from so many different countries were also there, and that we had a dedicated space for doing our computer-stuff, made us socialize in a relaxed way and not forget to keep things professional during the weekdays - otherwise we could happen to relax "too much" :) as the region is surrounded by mountains, rivers, trees, sheeps etc. For me it was the exact balance of nature nearby, and complete urban structure less than 4km away. Alex and Mimi are very helpful. Sweet pastries in the sunday morning, Pizza and drinks to get to know better our colleagues, all these details give the final touch to our stay. Definitely recommended!

Este coliving superó mis expectativas. Ofrece unas vistas preciosas en un ambiente muy agradable. Los dueños, Alex y Mimi, son muy amables, y se nota que ponen todo su cariño en mantener el lugar y en que los huéspedes estemos cómodos. Hay buena conexión wifi, espacios de coworking, un jardín con piscina y hasta un perro encantador que se convierte rápidamente en tu amigo. También organizan actividades: durante el mes que estuve, nos sorprendieron con un tour por las 'montañas mágicas', una tarde de pizza y, en algunas mañanas, con pan fresco y dulces. Disfruté mucho de mi estancia y sin duda me plantearía volver. Estoy muy agradecida con Alex y Mimi por su amabilidad.

With its locations’ lush greeneries and serene environment, The Valley is a perfect place if you are looking to unwind and be one with nature. If you like hiking, there are some trails around the area that goes into the forrest that you can follow. It’s also possible to run through the trails. There is also a pool that you can use anytime and a garden where you can have a good view while working. The sunsets at The Valley were my favorite thing. It humbles and slows you down a little. The best sunset view is probably from the Gorgeous room. The room is so spacious too! Fresh breads and some treats were provided and they were good. Not to mention, Alex was very attentive and patient in making sure everyone’s needs are accommodated.

Podría decir que mi cosa preferida de The VALLEY Portugal fue la relación calidad/precio (pagás lo mismo que por una cama en una habitación compartida en un hostel en el centro de Porto, te llevás una habitación privada de primer nivel equipada con smar TV y vistas inmejorables a la montaña), pero no sería cierto, porque definitivamente lo mejor de The VALLEY fue la experiencia de alojarme con dos anfitriones que realmente han puesto el corazón en este proyecto.||No me malentiendas, la visión de negocios detrás de esta gran idea es impecable. TODAS tus necesidades como huésped se verán cubiertas en The Valley, pues cada aspecto de tu estancia está previamente pensando y resuelto. Pero el placer de contar con Alex y Mimi como anfitriones: su buen humor, su excelente predisposición y su humanidad y flexibilidad para resolver hasta las situaciones más extravagantes (creeme, tuve una de lo más inesperada y la respuesta de estos emprendedores no podría haber sido mejor) es un plus que todo viajero merece disfrutar al menos una vez en su vuelta por el mundo.||No puedo estar más agradecida con The Valley. ¡Gracias Mimi y Alex! 🤗

¡The VALLEY es la opción correcta si buscas una estancia cómoda a cargo de grandes anfitriones! La propiedad es simplemente preciosa. Cercada por vistas bellas y muy cerca de una villa pintoresca, muy a la portuguesa: puedes sentir la vibra de la campiña y su naturaleza mágica a cada paso. El espacio compartido dedicado al ocio y el entretenimiento es impecable, ¡simplemente no puedes NO obtener la foto perfecta para tu Instagram en este lugar! Especialmente si te gustan los animales (como es mi caso) hasta el perrito Noa parece creado por IA para hacer del jardín tu lugar preferido. La cocina tiene todo lo que necesitas, y como estamos un poco lejos, el espacio para guardar comida congelada se agradece y mucho. El área dedicada al Coworking es tan bonita como en las fotos y las sillas son todo lo que está bien. En mi estadía solía sentarme allí solo a leer si no tenía otras tareas. Me enamoré de esta sala viendo las imágenes en Booking y volví a enamorarme cuando la conocí en persona. Mi habitación era de las más pequeñas, solo para una persona. Pero tenía todo lo necesario y realmente el espacio justo para mí. Además de que gracias al wifi y el Smart TV pude darme el placer de disfrutar de mi insomnio a pleno, viendo todas las maratones de series y películas que quise en la privacidad de mi dormitorio. ¿La cama? No exagero: es de las más cómodas que he probado y vengo viajando desde hace un año. Los baños son amplios y bien cuidados, con toallas limpias incluidas y la presión de agua perfecta para las duchas más placenteras. Y por fuera de las instalaciones, si hablamos específicamente de los aspectos más materiales de la vida cotidiana, ¡eso también está cubierto! La propiedad está alejada de los centros urbanos más grandes, pero se soluciona bastante bien con la excelente predisposición de Alex para llevarte a hacer tus compras semanales, a la estación si lo necesitas o incluso a comprar cigarrillos si, como yo, acostumbras a caminar por las paredes si olvidas tu fiel paquete de LM mentolados. Durante mi estadía, además, los anfitriones organizaron una noche de Pizza Tornado para todos y una hermosa excursión por el Valle Mágico que rodea la propiedad. Y encima, ¡nos dieron cosas gratis! (Perdón la alegría, pero a los argentinos nos encantan las cosas gratis) Me llevé una camiseta, un paraguas genial y un impermeable para la lluvia que se agradece especialmente en el norte durante el invierno portugués. Para Halloween tuvimos galletitas horrorosas exquisitas y ya perdí la cuenta de la cantidad de veces que desayuné el exquisito pan de la panadería de la familia, cortesía de Mimi. ¿Parece demasiado? ¡Estoy siendo 100% sincera! La estadía en The VALLEY se disfruta de verdad 🖤

I had a great experience working remotely from The Valley. The property is located in a quiet village with a beautiful surrounding which I would enjoy on my regular lunch break walk. There are mountains nearby as well for longer hikes to explore. Kitchen, co-working space with monitor to borrow, high speed internet etc. was among the amenities available for a comfortable and smooth stay. What stands out in my opinion is Alexandre's efforts of making sure the guests are happy, providing transport, taking the guest for weekly shopping and organising events/trips etc. It is evident he puts much time and effort into making the place as good as possible for the guests, and it was reassuring to know if one were to have any questions, concerns or help needed Alexandre would be happy to do his best to assist. Spent a beautiful month at the valley. The space is wonderful, the location is peaceful and immersive, the hosts were helpful kind kind and engaging.||The location was perfect for a month of working, walking and chillin out. January weather was kind and there was lots of sunshine between a few rainy days. I'm a big walker so not at all bothered by the ~30 min walk to maciera de cambra, for coffee @ cafe avenida or rugaly bakery, and the nearest shop.|The place is great and everything thoughtfully designed. I stayed in the superb room, it was spacious and light with gorgeous views, plenty of room to live and work. Bedrooms as well as the kitchen and common areas were cleaned weekly, plenty of fridge space, appliances to cook with and always hot water. Never needed to wait for the bathroom or washing machine. Everytime you think wish there was a plug socket here look around coz there will be one! It's really so well fir for purpose.|Alex was super helpful when I needed to hire a car, or needed a lift to town. There is info on public transport to vale de cbra and porto readily available. All of the valley tenants plus Alex and his family got together to share a meal a couple of times which was so lovely and generous of Alex and mimi to host.|I left feeling so relaxed and would defo come back.

I had a great stay as digital nomad at The Valley, which lasted for about two and a half months. The place has the amenities needed for a comfortable stay: a co-working space, kitchen, a beautiful garden with a stunning view and pool etc. I enjoyed the environment with beautiful walks around the area as well as trails leading up the mountains for longer hikes. What stands out in my experience was Alexandre's efforts of making the guest's stays enjoyable and convenient by organizing weekend trips/events, taking guests for weekly grocery shopping, offering transfers from/to airport and in other ways going extra lengths helping and making sure the guests are happy and comfortable. Excellent experience!||Alexandre made the stay easy and comfortable.||He came to pick me up in his car to Aveiro on the day of arrival and took me to Porto for the return trip.||He also took us to nearby activities and restaurants, as well as offering to take you into town for shopping should you need it.||The location is perfect. The house sits in the middle of the valley with beautiful views, ambiance, and climate. A swimming pool that relieves the hot days.||There is a bakery with a small pantry next door to buy the basics, and for larger purchases or restaurants, they are 15 min away.||Everyone is very nice and attentive. I met two young guys during my stay, one from the UK and one from Russia.||Perfect for Digital Nomads as it has a separate Coworking space with a good internet connection, gamer chairs, monitors, kitchen, and bathroom.||It was a short stay after a month. I will repeat.

I have stayed in over 100 hotel/hostels and this is probably top 5 in terms of aesthetic The place is stunning and basically brand new.||The communal rooms have every sort of appliance you could want such as air fryer, microwave, fridge/freezer, Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster, water filter etc...||There is weekly cleaning and the WiFi is super fast (over 500mbps next to the router). There is also a bakery right outside the place where you can get cheap and fresh bread and pastries.||The place is quite isolated (about 45 minutes walk from the town) so this is something to be aware of, although they have e-bikes to rent.||Finally the hosts Alexandre and Mimi are super nice and helpful. They provided us with lots of information on things to do around the area, also helped me do groceries and even provided airport pickup/drop off. I'd highly recommend this place for remote working, and you won't find anything remotely similar for this price range.

Overall, We had a great experience in The VALLEY; staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect to celebrate any occasion. The place was very clean, modern, had everything we needed to feel at home. Alexandre had excellent restaurant recommendations and was of great help. Mimi & Alexandre went way beyond to make our long-weekend comfortable and memorable. We would highly recommend this wonderful villa. A lovely & well presented good sized flat. The Location is absolutely brilliant. Everything you need for a short break or holiday is provided for you. We loved our stay here & would recommend it very highly to anyone wanting to have a good base while exploring beautiful Porto. The apartment has everything you’d need, from toiletries to utensils and extra blankets. Aleksander and Mimi were very helpful. The flat has lots of brochures as well to find cool nearby events. Overall, we were absolutely happy to stay at the Valley

We stayed at “The Valley” for the weekend and the experience was amazing! Our room was spacious and fresh with air conditioning. The villa and location is beautiful - there is a big garden with pool and the view of the green Portuguese landscapes is stunning. It’s a very calm place, perfect to relax or to work remote. The hosts Alexandre and Mimi are lovely and super helpful to recommend restaurants and activities. Also the breakfast was delicious, with fresh juice, fruit, eggs and bread from the local bakery. Would definitely recommend and come back!

I stayed at The Valley as a digital nomad for a month and highly recommend it. The villa had a great co-working space with everything I needed and my room was spacious and comfortable. I had air conditioning (which I later found out is rare in Portugal) and a little balcony with a scenic view. The location is quiet and ideal for focused work. The hosts, Alexandre and Mimi, were incredibly helpful and friendly. There are several walking paths in the area, and Alexandre helped me find a suitable car to rent for a few weekends. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and highly recommend The Valley to other digital nomads. Can't wait to be back!

Amazing 3-night stay at The VALLEY. The hosts Mimi and Alexandre are very friendly and made us feel at home. We stayed at the chalet, which is extremely comfortable and well decorated. The surroundings are quiet and we woke up with just the sounds of birds chirping and, in one of the days, with the rain falling. Unfortunately we weren't able to go to the swimming pool because of the weather, but the outside space is really nice. Breakfast was delicious. Our goal for the trip was to explore Serra da Freita and visit Vale de Cambra and Arouca, and the location of the accomodation is suitable for that. We even did an enjoyable trecking that passes just in front of the accomodation, PR4 Vale de Cambra, that allowed us to visit the highlights of the parish, such as the Eng. Duarte Pacheco dam.
