Neighbourgood Cape Quarter

Had such a good 5-night stay here! We pitched up super early and the Neighbourgood Greenpoint team were legends - kept our luggage safe until check-in. Room was clean and they serviced it during our stay too. You've got restaurants in the building but it's still ○ quiet, and the V&A is just 1.5km away Staff available 24hrs if you need help. Definitely staying here again.

Intelligent staffs, smooth check in and out with clever receptionists. Okay peaceful atmosphere with no home for boredom. Safety for lives and properties included so i will always recommend to you reading now or travelling sooner.

I don’t recommend this Hotel at all! Here’s a list of all the things that didn’t work: 1) the AC 2) the Parking Tickets ( this was very annoying because the Gate wouldn’t open) 3) the power sockets 4) the Safe 5) the door to the terrace 6) the Elevator ( just for a day but u could only use the one in the middle but everytime u would call the elevator, either the right or left elevator would come, which was very annoying) Also, every room had a separate toilet/ shower. But the bad design of the glass walls gave 0 privacy. In general the whole apartment was very bad designed: the doors, the bathrooms, the lights switches. A catastrophe!

A brilliant apartment. Felt very safe and secure. Spacious with outside seating too. Air con wasn’t working, so windows open at night, which was a shame. Full kitchen

Very nice place to stay, our unit (six) was quiet and clean, serviced daily. You could even leave window open during the night without the outside noise being annoying. But have something to repel the mozis ready then. Only backfall is the missing aircon on those hot days. And once you have understood the elevator trick which one to take to where it is very convenient as well. Others than that, it is very handy with the small mall below, where you can buy all you probably need during a stay as business traveler or with a family. The roof top pool with a nice view is also very good on a hot day after the business appointments to relay and cool down before dinner.

Really liked the location of this place. The beds were super comfy and the location perfect for what we needed. I think the previous guests must have stolen a few tea spoon as we could only find the one. Highly recommend this place and I would happily stay here again when in Cape Town. I do like a dark bedroom though so if the team here could add a curtain that would be great even thought there are some shutters.

It is a great location, kind staff, comfortable rooms, and I will be staying again.

Our stay at Neighbourgood Cape Quarter was super cool, loved the location, is closed to most of the interesting things/places, security 🫡, place itself is 10/10 and the staff is friendly and helpful from receptionist to the cleaners. Hope to book with you again.

I'm writing this because some of the issues are easily fixable: Cons: - Was super hot. There is a portable airconditioning unit - BUT THERE'S NO OUTLET TUNNEL/AIRDUCT FOR IT - it just makes whatever room you put it in hotter! [and is of course loud] - Building is secure... BUT they don't tell you how to get in late at night. Being stuck outside at 3am was not ideal. (you need to bang on the closed parking garage) - they give you one lift key and one room key... we asked and they were able to produce a second for the lift but still only one key for the room... its a 2 bedroom apartment how is one key enough for up to 4 people? - they make getting the code for check-in hard for some obscure reason - we had to ask like 2-3x times by whatsapp - just send it? - the light switches are in incredibly stupid places. the bathroom light switch is hidden in a cupboard. - Quite a few mosquitoes unfortunately; you can buy a plug-in anti-thing from the shop downstairs to remedy this Pros: - The coworking is great and staff are helpful - Daily cleaning & fresh water bottles - Location is good, the mall is nice

Stayed there for a month! The staff and service at Neighbourgood was wonderful and super nice people, the premises need some maintenance but they are very reactive whenever a challenge rises. Location is amazing and super convenient, both close to CBD and Green Point-Sea Point :) Would go back for sure!

I had a terrible experience. My apartment was old, had terrible scratches on the floor. The down lights did not have caps on them. So they were exposed. The living room furniture was old. The study desk looked like something you could find in a prison. I had no view, instead my room was close to the pool and if someone really wanted to they could easily see into my room. There was no artwork on the walls. I stayed in Room 8 last room on the right as soon as you head to the pool. I HATED the two nights I was there. It was a business trip and I will never ever stay here again.

Beautiful view, but a rather obvious lack of maintenance. No universal power outlet for our electronic devices, and some repairs are needed in the apartment. The key collection system also needs improvement; only one of the three elevators was working to get us to the floors where the bedrooms are. In short… practical, with a lovely view of Cape Town, and clean and well-located, which is the main thing.

This place is amazing. It’s central, safe and very comfortable. Also excellent value for money! Would recommend!

We stayed in a three-bedroom apartment and, unfortunately, found it in poor condition upon arrival. Beyond the AC issue, we were surprised that while every room and the living room had AC ducts, the small corner room did not. There were also several concerns at check-in: some missing or burnt-out bulbs, no lighting in the master bathroom, a broken bedroom partition, drainage issues, a tilted bedroom door, non-functioning bedside lamps with electrical noises, worn kitchen appliances and cabinets, dusty ceilings and curtains (a concern due to allergies), and a damaged balcony door. The iron and ironing board we had requested in advance were also missing but later provided when asked again. At first, the response to these issues was not very reassuring. However, once we escalated our concerns, the property manager personally stepped in and was very attentive. Several repairs were completed, missing items were provided, and he did his best to improve the situation. While not everything was fully resolved, we appreciated his effort and responsiveness once he became involved.

I booked a deluxe studio for a 3 week stay and it was the perfect spot. I was able to work in the apartment - the internet is amazingly fast. The house-keeping team are friendly and efficient and manage the apartments very well. the small balcony offered a great outdoor area to get some fresh air of you don't want to leave the building, plus the pooldeck is a great added feature.

Location and self service amenities. Clean room and quality comfort of facility. availability of shops around the property. @ 1. No TV channels available. one had to sign in with own dstv, netflix or google account to access tv 2. Wrong directions. The lift that goes to the rooms on 4th floor are the D level lift. But i was instructed to take the E-level lifts. i got stranded on the 4th floor of the E-Level lifts. call them twice an no one picked. i had to go back down and ask help from the security guy who help me and said it was D-level and not E-level. Some one only tried to call back after i have already been help. 3. Too much noise after midnight with people dragging tables on the floor at about 2 pm.

Stayed with family for a week, rooms were clean and tidy, close to town. Housekeeping and admin were helpful will stay there again

Nice, well-maintained apartment. Clean. The location is good, and the garage, which leads to the apartment, is essential. The staff is easy to reach by phone for any issues, and they're always very helpful. The only thing that needs reconsidering is the bathroom, which is inside the bedroom and separated by a glass door, which may not be very private.

Terrible Experience – Stay Away from This Place Our experience at this hotel was a complete disaster. The staff are untrustworthy, and the place is far from secure. The manager was rude, aggressive, and lacked all sense of professionalism. We had booked a two-bedroom suite for four nights. Since we had to go to Johannesburg for a day, we informed the manager around 5:45 PM that our friend would come by to oversee moving our things from a single room to the suite. Despite our clear communication, he insisted we pay an additional R1300 for that day. We even offered R1000 to keep things peaceful, but he refused and threatened to remove our bags, knowing we had valuables. When we returned, we found our bag had been tampered with and our Rolex was missing. The box had been moved from where we left it, and it was obvious someone with access had gone through our things. After confronting the staff and involving private police, the watch suddenly appeared under a chair we had already searched—clearly a cover-up. It was only after they realized we were tech professionals from the UK and not just regular guests that they returned it. We never ended up sleeping there and had to book another place at our own cost. Since the original booking was made online, we didn’t get a refund—and just let it go to avoid further stress. This place is run by dishonest people with zero customer service. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Avoid it completely.

Absolutely had a horrible stay .we had no electricity for the entire stay . No lights ,nothing . No explanation whatsoever or atleast an apology. No one told us what is going on . The cooking ladies were kind though but please add more variety to the breakfast. Also I believe they were supposed to change towels an make up the room but not for our entire stay our room was not made ,so as the towels not changed.

The location was perfect, the rooms spacious and clean. The doors all were so well sealed that the road noise was a complete non-issue for being in the heart of the city. An Uber to the V&A is a mere 4 minutes away, there is a HUGE selection of restaurants within walking distance, and all the essentials that you may have accidentally forgotten are easily found right downstairs. It's been a long time since I've been this satisfied with a stay - all my expectations were well exceeded. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay!

Lovely and central place but it does need a few repairs.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The pic on the web of the pool is very outdated, it needs a facelift. The passages and carpets are in need of serious repair. Aircons in the bigger rooms are of poor quality, The staff tried their best to accommodate us, but the middle lift needs serious attention. The location is great, but parking can be a problem at times. The system of self-check-in works well. Downstairs are great restaurants; breakfast is easily obtained or pop into the local supermarket. Which is well-stocked and clean. Once again friendly staff. The cutlery in the apartments needs to be updated and maintained, many items are short. The rooms and cleaned daily and clean towels are replaced daily. Overall good value for money and safe. Uber is easily obtainable drivers know the place well.

I would not recommend staying at Neighbourgood Cape Quarter - it was really run down and our A/C did not work. The cabinets are chipped, the lights in my bedroom didn't work correctly, I did not have a safe in my bedroom (my friends had one in theirs), some of the curtains were ripped, the walls were dirty, a bunch of stuff outside was broken, and there were no hangers in my closet. I told the staff that the A/C was not working (and it was really hot in the apartment) - they brought us two portable A/C units, but they blew cold air out the front and really hot air out the back, so they didn't do anything. The staff said they would bring me hangers, but they did not. One thing I did like a lot was access to the co-working space which was clean and nice. I would not stay at the Living section again.

My girlfriend and I stayed in a one-bedroom studio apartment at Neighbourgood in Cape Quarter Living for six weeks, and we had a fantastic experience. The location is great—right in the heart of a charming shopping center, with easy access to great cafes, shops, a large supermarket, and a co-working space that’s included with your stay. The apartments are spacious, featuring large, comfortable beds and air conditioning, which was a huge plus. While the interiors are a bit dated and the kitchen is quite small with only the essentials, these were minor inconveniences compared to the overall experience. What truly sets Neighbourgood apart is the staff. They were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Any issues we raised were resolved within 24 hours, and when my girlfriend fell ill on a Sunday—when most doctors were closed—they quickly connected us with a doctor that was able to assist. A huge shout-out to Smart and Rudo for their exceptional hospitality! Their warmth and professionalism made all the difference. I would highly recommend Neighbourgood for anyone looking for a well-located, community-driven place to stay in Cape Town.

So spacious, lovely views and perfect spot for a visit to Cape Town.

We had a great one night stay - location is brilliant and so central. The team were super helpful when we had misplaced one of our access cards and needed assistance. Will definitely use Neighbourgood again in the future when we return to Cape Town.

A lovely apartment in a great location. The only downside is that the elevator to the apartment is a bit tricky to get to and from.

Enter garage from Dixon st. Key boxes are on the left just after you access the boom. Park on level A. And ALWAYS use the middle lift. On retail level (3) there is an elevator marked neighbourgood that takes you to the office with very helpfull staff to assist you.

The apartments have aged since the pictures posted. The room were run down, and furniture, equipment, utensils, pots/pans etc are very old and some not fit for use. Unfortunately I experienced an issue with mold in the bathroom and cancelled my booking to find other accommodation.||I’ve stayed at their other locations which are better taken care of, but the Cape Quarter one was not ideal.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful!…we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to family and friends!

My go to place when my doing business in Cape Town. The rooms are great. Location is ideal. Staff are friendly. Amenities are abundant. Pricing is excellent. And this Aparthotel offers a lucrative investment option! Fantastic views as well if you get the right room.

The accommodation needs some TLC Nothing to watch on TV as the Netflix account wasn’t paid and none of the other channels work. The lighting was terrible.everything was just so dark. There was a constant humming sound when the lights were on. The freezer didn’t close because of the ice build up. Carpets leading up the o the suite were really stained. Otherwise it was good

Very disappointed with my booking. We got one key between 4 people and when we asked for another they did not seem to have one nor care about our query. We asked what time the security gates are closed and no one seemed to know the answer. The aircon does not work; The toaster does not work, the lights do not work, the door handle fell off, the fridge does not work. There are no extra blankets, and with the aircon not working, it is freezing cold. The service at the front desk seem completely indifferent by our queries and concerns. Would not recommend...

These apartments are definitely value for money. The location is great with a really amazing Spar in the building to buy food. Kitchens are well equipped but don't have salt or pepper, which you will need to buy. On the whole, a nice big open space that is well located.

Before arriving I made 2 calls and spoke to 2 different people informing them that we will be driving down from Jhb and will only be arriving late in the evening. (+-14 Hour drive) To ensure no delays I asked for my sister to check in for us (who lives in Cpt 30min away from location) at 14h00. both people assured me that would not be a problem and she can collect the keys etc. I gave my personal number for them to contact me. In the event of the other person busy driving. 13H30 half an hour before my sisters arrival they only then sent us the information of a lock box on site and no need for a collection. They had my contact details and did not let me know. My sister drove all the way to the site to check in only for them to tell her there is a lock box and we can retrieve our keys there. She then asked them if they are sure as we are driving from far. Staff confirmed key is in the lock box and looked at her like she was crazy for asking. Fast forward 15 hours drive later we get to the location open the lock box with no keys inside. After calling the number provided on the board located next to the lock box no answer. We then sent a whatsapp saying there is no key. We then received a call back where the manager said she is trying to get a hold of security and that they are not answering to give us a spare key. We had to walk around the buidling looking for security so we can call the manager and put them both on the phone with each other. After a few minutes wait the security gave us a key. But no lift card and no exit parking card. Security helped us retrieve our luggage to take to the room. As we have no lift card and will be using the stairs (4floors) to get to the room. As we could not leave to get dinner we had to uber food and walk up and down 4 floors double layered stairs to just get food after our long drive. All my effort for calling and getting someone to come to check in was for nothing. The next morning the manager says she is making a copy of the security's spare key for us. I asked her where the original key was nobody could give me an answer. Now feeling unsafe to sleep there with all our belongings. who ever has the original key could just open our room. Eventually the manager let us know that they found the original key. They had a geust 7 days ago. That extended his stay. So was moved from his room to our room. And when he left he put our room key in his original rooms lock box because that was the only code he knew. So for 7 days nobody went to go check where the keys were, or even after i called twice and sent someone to retrieve the keys for us, you would think the staff would make sure the keys were where they said it would be. But instead relied on clients to do their jobs efficiently. When we received the keys and the lift card only but no parking card. Nobody explained to us that we have seperate cards for the parking and the lift also did not explain that we should not insert the parking card only scan. We inserted the lift card not knowing it was only for the lift and when i called the manager she tells me i should not have inserted the card i said nobody informed me of this and there is no sign that says do not insert it actually says insert card. She then goes to explain that and I quote " I should actually be charging you for another card" Once we were in the room the toilet had a bad sewerage smell the shower drain was clogged and water was overflowong everywhere. We had to put our hands down the dirty drain to pull out some sort of plug for the water to drain so the whole bedroom does not overflow in water. The tv remote was not working we had to download an app on our phones to just watch tv. The light switches were so confusing to figure out what light switch is for what and most of the time not working. And that was not even half of it. The staff is either untrained or honestly just dont care for their jobs. I would not recommend going here. Good luck to future clients.

Lots of competition in Cape Town do your research before using them.

The location of this place is ideal, close to the CBD, quiet and clean. Not forgetting about Nikiway 🫂 the lady who checked us in. Mann, she’s a gem. She always made sure we were comfortable and my parents were equally pleased by her hospitality. I would most certainly recommend this place to my friends and I shall visit again soon. My trip to Cape Town was complete here. My heart is warm❤️

Read some reviews, so confused by some 1 star reviews. The place is upmarket, stylish and clean. The security is top quality with face recognition and security guards. The community is so friendly. Great place to stay, decent prices and wonderful location.

So much effort has gone into this space to make it amazing. The space is bright , airy and extremely spacious. The space inspires me to give my best at work every day. I love the energy at the work space and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The wifi is incredibly fast and reliable. Bring your own coffee pods for the nespresso machine.
