Bonjour, Je viens de finir un séjour au Surf Camp de Fuerteventura. J’ai passé une bonne semaine mais quelques précisions sont à savoir si vous voulez participer à ce genre de camp. La cadre est sympathique, les activités sportives sont bonnes (surf, surfskate, petite randonnée). Une bonne ambiance règne dans la villa. On y mange bien mais les portions peuvent être juste. Si vous avez l’habitude d’avoir un dessert (fromage+dessert), vous risquez d’avoir faim. Pas de dessert, juste un plat principal. Le petit déjeuner est top. Il y a deux villas. Laola qui est en bonne état et Lapoint qui en intérieur peut être à refaire. Douche du dortoir sale. Eau froide dans les douches. Il peut y avoir des coupures d’électricités. Il y a de la moisissure. Odeur désagréable dans la salle de bain. Pas de Clim ! Le mobilier est à renouveler. Fuerteventura est une île volcanique et un peu désertique. Attendez vous à avoir du sable dans les chambres si la fenêtre reste ouverte. La manageuse est inexistante. Elle laisse tout le travail en gestion par des filles que l’on peut nommer comme animatrice. Elles ne sont pas réellement « animatrice ». Elles nous apportent la nourriture, s’occupe de veiller. Merci à elle de sauver l’inexistence de la manageuse. Si vous y allez pour le surf et rien d’autres. Vous êtes au bonne endroit. Si vous cherchez un peu plus de confort. Ce ne sera pas le cas. Malgré tout, j’ai passé une bonne semaine. Ces détails sont là pour que vous ayez le maximum d’informations. Matthieu

I loved it here!! 10/10 would recommend! Good food, nice dorm with spacious bathroom, lovely people and amazing surf lessons. The atmosphere was super relaxed and the people working there were really kind and chill. It was really easy to meet new people here as a solo traveller!

Everything was perfect apart from three things. Our surf instructor (Mirko, which we don’t recommend at all), that the floor of the rooms could have been cleaned too when they did the bathroom and that the beds were very creaky. The hosts were great, very friendly! The location was also very close to the local town and the grocery shop. They take food restrictions very seriously and the meals were always very very delicious. The camp manager was very attentive with our complaints and worries about our surf instructor, so that was nice. My partner had an extra surf session on the last day with an amazing instructor and learnt more than what we did the whole week. Thanks Julian! We loved the extra activities, yoga, surf skate & the E bike tour. Oh, it’s not very easy to get a taxi to find the camp, so make sure you book it with a lot of anticipation or the day before. We loved the people we were with and would definitely recommend. Definitely bring ear plugs.

The other camp guests were totally fun and not everything about this camp is bad but here is why I wouldn’t recommend it or at least prepare you so you don’t get disappointed (my boyfriend and I had a double room in the Lapoint house) some of the following things would be easily fixed but nobody really cares or notices: - you can’t lock your room, there is no place to safely store your belongings - the interior is super cheap, our beds were broken and extremely squeaky - the walls are so thin you can hear everything (big minus when your room is right next to the common area where everyone hangs around before going to bed so either bring earplugs or be prepared to stay up until everyone else is in bed) - we were supposed to have a private bathroom but the girls in the room next to us could enter our bathroom as well - there were cockroaches in our bathroom, the water drainage didn’t work in our sink and the room was only cleaned once (also means that the sanitary waste is only taken out once, which is really unpleasant when you have your period and the wastebin doesn’t even have a lid, so I ended up talking out some trash by myself) - there is almost never warm water to shower, twice there was no water at all for like 30-60 min - lunch and dinner was good and they take allergies and restrictions seriously but you’re often not full from the amount you are allowed to take, (breakfast is a nice buffet though where you can take as much as you want) - quiet hour is 22:00 but some days even the people that work there don’t follow their own rules (in our last night some of the socail hosts were partying with the camp guests and came back at 2 am, they kept us awake until they were done eating and talking in the kitchen next to our room) - our surf coach was really nice and super chill but except for the fact that he is driving you to the beach there is not that much you get taught (experiences may vary depending on the surf group you are in but renting a surfboard for a couple of hours and just trying by yourself probably has the same learning effect, that was even recommended by another coach especially for those that are not first timers anymore and just want to advance their skills) - some surfboards are pretty damaged, also my boyfriend never found a wetsuit in L that did not have any holes in it - overall it seemed like some people that work there are not convinced themselves that this is a good camp (they don’t even mind sharing what they don’t like about the work there…especially confusing when they start complaining about guests)…I mean yes we Iiked the chill laid back vibe and that everyone is very open and approachable and for the most part we had friendly interactions but things there are just a little too chaotic and unprofessional

I stayed for a week at Lapoint Fuerteventura and I enjoyed my stay. The group was nice and I made some really cool friends. The food was amazing too. After the surf lessons there are also plenty of other activities to do, so you'll never be bored. However, there are some things that could be improved. For the first two days I had a surf instructor who was very rude to our group (Simone), as he made some condescending comments about our level of surfing. This has been addressed multiple times already, but nothing was being done about it. My other instructor Jolan was amazing though. Furthermore, the wetsuits were full of holes and were worn out completely, therefore I was really cold in the water all the time. And as an axtra activity I booked the Lobos tour, but we had to pay the taxi ourselves and we got the same worn out wetsuits. For the high price that we paid, I did expect better quality. |The camp itself was very nice and quiet, there is a skate park where you can rent surf skates. There is also a skate lesson included which is nice, as well as 3 yoga sessions. The staff was really friendly too.

Tras una semana en la la point Fuerteventura he notado ciertas cosas que se podrían mejorar, la calidad de la comida es buena pero es escasa a mediodía, especialmente cuando vuelves hambriento después de hacer surf. A pesar de anunciar el nivel “independiente” para surfistas avanzados, las tablas del campamento son para principiantes. Los neoprenos están completamente rotos y con agujeros. Las tablas de surfskate solo se pueden utilizar durante primera la clase, para utilizarla el resto de semana has de pagar 30€. Las tablas de surf solo se pueden utilizar durante la clase. Como utilizan energía solar, la mayor parte de los días no hay agua caliente en las duchas, especialmente si tu clase de surf es por la tarde, lo mas probable es que te tengas que duchar con agua fría. Por otra parte el personal y las instalaciones son excepcionales, la semana ha merecido la pena!

All staff is Swedish, they speak loud and even shout at each other very loud in Swedish. It felt like I'm in a holiday house of Swedish people. Toilets are only in rooms, you can't use any other bathroom. In a room of 6 people there was only one shower and one toilet. After surf you have to wait for hours until everyone gets a shower. Shower was clogged but no one fixed it even after complain. We had to use our towels to mop the floor. Most of people in camp were french speaking, it was hard to socialise. Surf coach was great, surf lessons, airport transfer and food were the only things that were good in this camp. However I think one or two dinners could be organised in town. Eating all the time in camp is boring. After 3 days towels were changed but not bed sheets. Not enough power sockets in room. We had only one for 2 beds, but 2 power sockets were blocked by bed. No shelves near bed. No personal light. There's washing machine free to use which was also great. Wet suits were always wet and cold. Boards were good. Cars are old and dusty.

This was an amazing holiday, where all the camp staff and surf instructors were amazing. The camp is visually stunning with lovely eating areas and great yoga room. We had a great time with a lovely bunch of people. Only downside was beds quite cheap and not very sturdy so didn’t sleep very well but we were in a dorm and also we didn’t have a warm shower the whole time we were there (December) as they rely on solar to heat the water. Lots of cold showers! Also top tip, if you want to surf other breaks with no beginners you’ll need a hire car.

I had an amazing time at the Lapoint Surf Camp! The location was beautiful, the staff was super friendly and the people I met were amazing!|It was my first time surfing and I had very nice instructors who were very patient with my limited abilities :D|All extra activities such as yoga, e-bike tour, massage, cinema night, games night... made the experience even better.|Oh, and the food was delicious as well!|I would recommend it 100% and I am looking forward to repeat sometime soon :)

The accomodation in general is really nice, modern, beautiful. The pools are nice but cold. The design of the buildings and the interior design is very pretty. I slept in a twin room with an outside bathroom though which wasn’t satisfying. It was so cold in the evenings/ in the morning/ at night that we were freezing as soon as we got to the bathroom in our pyjama. And as there’s wind as well and the shower is cold (except two times), it’s just absolutely freezing in the bathroom. During the day it’s ok. Other twin rooms at the same rate have a really nice, luxury bathroom. Shower is cold as well. The food is amazing! I’ve never had a surfcamp with such nice food. Absolutely delicious and healthy. If you tell them your diet, they take care of that. Tea and water was included. You were allowed to bring your own alcohol and to put it in the fridge. You could even wash your clothes for free if you ask. Activities such as beer pong, movie night or quiz night were funny. Would have been great to play a name to get to know the names of all 35 guests. Amazing staff. They try to make everything possible. Yoga is great as well. Surf skate was fun. The guests were great. Really nice vibe. For surfing I don’t recommend the camp. We’ve been a bit unlucky with the surf conditions as it was very windy, but the surf lessons in general weren’t good. I’ve been to 4 surfcamp before and this one was the one with the worst surf lessons. It always depends on the teacher though. I couldn’t improve over the week. It felt more like I went down from intermediate to beginners level. The teacher always took us to the same beach except once even that the conditions haven’t been great. Many times he would rather surf the waves himself than teaching the group. And he was quite moody and didn’t seem that motivated. Shouting at us and other surfers. We didn’t have the feeling that he was motivated to teach us or to help us getting better. In explaining the conditions, the water, the waves, the current etc. he did well. To be fair, other groups did have great teachers though. As you’re surfing on the reef you would need shoes. I couldn’t wear shoes during every surf lesson as they only had one pair of my size. So I did scratch my feed at the reef. To dry the wetsuits they were hanging in a dark outside cabin where they obviously wouldn’t dry. So the next day you had to get into your wet and cold wetsuit every morning which was pretty annoying. As a result the wet suits and the group shirts did stink. Other surfcamps manage to dry all the wetsuits over night. The transport busses that were used to bring us to the surf spots were kind of old/ broken. Seat belts didn’t work in every bus and in one bus dirty water just poured out of the door right onto the seat next to the door. Our busses were very dirty (dust, sand, salt) so that your clothes/ bag were dirty after surfing for sure. The location of the camp is beautiful and quiet. As Lajares doesn’t have that much to do, we got a bit bored in the afternoon sometimes.

I had an amazing time at Lapoint Fuerteventura. I made some great friends and got very lucky with some good swell. They accommodated surfers with experience which is why I chose lapoint. The food was awesome, accommodation was fine. Nothing special but it works. My main complaints are restrictions on how much you eat, I’m a small girl but I can eat. And I didn’t love being told I was limited on how much to eat especially when surfing so much. I definitely recommend renting a car. It gave me the freedom to explore and add extra surfs.

Lapoint camp was a very well equipped surf camp for all your surfing needs, including surfskating. The camp has a great skating area and a wave ramp and two small and one bigger pool where you can chill and cool your aching muscles. The Lapoint FV team were excellent, very friendly and looked after us very well. We were very lucky to have such a superb group of surf enthusiasts of all ages, and the Lapoint team were very good at being inclusive. Our yoga teacher was great, the surfskate instructor was very good and our surf instructor was very on point and really paying attention and making corrections (which is what every learner needs). The food was also great and plentiful. Overall, we had a great time and I would recommend the surfcamp to those who are serious about improving their surfing.

Das Camp ist sehr schön mit Pool, Liegen, Skatepark etc. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet. Klimaanlagen in den Zimmern und ein öffentliches Bad mit Toilette/Dusche fehlen leider und würden das Camp noch besser machen.||Das Essen war gut und immer ausreichend. Die Social Hosts waren sehr nett und haben ich um alles gekümmert.

I've had an amazing stay at Lapoint surf camp in Fuerteventura. The island is incredibly beautiful with lots of must see scenery around. Its postcard worthy beaches alone are a reason to visit. At the camp we were received warmly by the very friendly staff who would also join some of the social activities, adding up to the relaxed and friendly vibe. The houses where we stayed were modern and none the less cozy with an awesome pool area. I had lots of fun surfing with our teachers who were very supportive of the students. Compliments to the amazing chef, who did his best to deliver a great experience. There are plenty of activities at the camp such as yoga, e-bike tour, volcano hike and movie night which I all recommend, do not miss them.||One of my remarks is that it would be better if the rooms had AC but given that the house is self sustainable it makes up for it.

We stayed as a couple in their superior room. We met many new people from different age groups. I liked the camp because it isn't a camp for party people however you can go to a party close by and we had one very nice skate party at the camp. There is a policy to be quite after 11 which we really appreciated, it's not completely silent after 11 however you can get your rest and be energised for the next morning. |There are different activities you can participate in next to surfing, like a volcano hike, a bike tour and yoga sessions. Even a very lovely massage! I really enjoyed the surfskate lessons and rental. |The hosts are very friendly and the food is amazing! The breakfast is very luxurious and has healthy and less healthy options. Dinner and Lunch are "simple" but very very good and good attention for dietary restrictions. |During the day the camp is pretty quite, while people are reading a book, swimming or going to a nearby city to explore. |I would highly recommend the camp and would consider coming back. :)

The food was also so tasty and healthy, and the camp was full of social activities so you could connect with other surfers. I would totally recommend Lapoint!

Just got back from a week at LaPoint. Loved the location, it’s not in a very overly tourist place such as Corralejo so you still get to feel a bit more “local”. Though if you’d like to explore better rent a car. I’ve been to other surf camps and this one is one of the best I’ve been, instructors are really great and gave great feedbacks, staff was super friendly and helpful. Food was amazing! From breakfast to dinner everything was super tasty! Extra activities: surf skate, hiking and e-bike was lots of fun too… though for the e-bike keep in mind it will be on dirt road so can be tricky at some parts. Social events/gatherings were super fun too! The only downside we’re the beds which were not super comfy for us but the rooms were simple and well thought. Beware of mosquitos! We went there as a couple and we met really great people. Good energy from everyone Would highly recommend to go there because we would absolutely go back!

This is my third time traveling with Lapoint. Unfortunately this place is my least favorite. The accommodation and surf teachers were ok, however, some basic services were missing. We were six people sharing one room with bunk beds and only one toilet/shower. Additional toilets at the camp were nonexistent. The showers did not have any warm water.

We wilden de winterdip ontwijken en aan onze surf skills werken. Dat mocht wat kosten, de prijs was als het hoog seizoen, maar dan had je wat, zei de website: mooi surfhouse, kleine groepen, goeie vibes, yoga en surfskate. Top! Snel geboekt. We kregen een welkoms-mail met een ton aan rules & regulations :-/ Een whatsapp-groep met 45 (!) deelnemers :-( Hoe dan? Bij aankomst bleek 2 surfhouses, Lapoint en Laola tegenover elkaar en we deelden alles samen. Niks kleine groep. Surfles was niet in de ochtend maar verspreid door de dag. Eten was goed, maar niet altijd genoeg. Er was een tekort aan yogamatten in de les. Hulp bij blessures: vergeet het maar. Geen warme douche never ever. I could go on. Maar het meest teleurstellende was de ongelofelijk ongeïnteresseerde houding van de staf. Hello, hospitality, anyone? Ze heten social hosts, dat 'social' was ver te zoeken. Wij hadden een jonge groep, dus was je alleen, boven de dertig en niet in party mood, dan had je een probleem. Nou waren we eerder op surfcamp, dus we weten dat het beter kan. Gelukkig.

Great staff, very good surf teacher and amazing surfskate park attached to the compound! But bad smell at the pool/dinning area due to sewerage or something like that, very thin walls in double bedrooms, not suited for couples or people who want privacy or people who want to sleep early, also the double rooms have huge glass fronts towards the public area. Almost never warm water left for showering.

Très bon camp, le staff est super, la villa et les piscines très belles. La nourriture est cuisinée tous les jours par un chef avec des produits frais de la région. On ne s'ennui pas ici avec 2 h de surf tous les matins, le spot est super et les profs très bien j'ai appris beaucoup.

We had a blast in Lapoint Fuerteventura. People are the best, teachers are super competent and inclusive and fun. Jo my fav , I was in his class but you could find a great instructor in all of them, they all know what they are doing with great professionalism! Erica for yoga amazing also, specially after surfing, she also does the best porridge ever. Food: The food was great as well, Rodolph great chef. Only aching notes of this experience to me was the management of the place. Girls seemed to care too little. I had an unpleasant event of intolerance cause they took too lightly my answer to the question “if i had any allergies”, to which i answered “intolerant to gluten”… they expected from me to write what level of intolerance. Which shouldn’t matter cause if I’m intolerant, I am, period. So long story short, first night I asked if dinner was gluten free, answer was yes (from all of them) and after eating it, emergency room was my first day visit that night. After that, still all the meal where not adjusted to my intolerance, just after three days finally they were, just after speaking directly to the cook, it started to be well handled and my meals started to be divided from the group, as it should be. I did not take any legal action cause everything else was just Great, and dont feel like Lapoint has to pay for one mistake of two young girls, but it was bad. Lisa is the only girl from management who was very cooperative and present all the time, making sure I was set! But for the rest, i would suggest do not trust them too much (which by the way, dont get me wrong, they are very nice girls easy going, but not ready for this job for my personal opinion). Just be careful if you are intolerant to anything. Exaggerate on whatever level is your intolerance because otherwise it will take awhile before taken seriously. And if your intolerance it is pretty severe, like my case, just say you’re celiac. It will be taken under a more appropriate care. Beside this I advice to you all to do this experience at least once in ur life cause it was just the best. We were also so lucky to have found the best group to spend it with. Xoxo Lapoint

If you’re a solo traveller looking for a winter week of sun, sea, sand, surfing, surfskating, yoga, running, biking, massage and excellent healthy catered food, then Lapoint Fuerteventura is the perfect place for you. Booking was easy, staff were friendly, and accommodation was clean. There were various activities on offer on the island. Shout out to my surf instructor Ale who was exceptionally knowledgeable, collaborative, patient, had empathy and matched the good vibes brought along by everyone in his team.

Me and my friends just had an amazing week at Lapoint. The food was surprisingly good, the staff was very professional and extremely lovable and charismatic. The camp manager took care of our needs with a smile, our yoga instructor orchestrated the sessions to our needs (which was very much stretching after surfing 😅) and our surf instructor was just the best! Shout out to Elie, who took a bunch of 30+ year olds and made us all stand on a board in the angry ocean within a week. All while he was funny and full of good vibes 🤙 I would recommend this for everybody and I will most definitely visit a Lapoint camp again! ❤️🏄
