Warning! ⚠️ The concept is deteriorating year after year. Under the guise of excessively short deadlines, impossible administrative management, and financial pressure, many things are disappearing, and the quality of life at the casa is declining. Private cooking classes are a thing of the past, the houses are aging with old windows that no longer insulate or barely close, and there's a complete refusal to replace them, leaving us to pay exorbitant annual adjustments (€300 per housemate this year in the casa where I live). Added to this are mouse problems in many houses, and the casa is dragging its feet on implementing real solutions because… it's expensive, of course! And now, the casa no longer gives residents a choice about who will move into the other houses when they leave. They are the sole decision-makers in the process and no longer consult us. The bus driver can just show up at our place without a second thought; the cohesion of the household and everyone's safety aren't their priorities. All that matters to the company is automating their processes and cutting costs left and right. Always more for them, and always less for us. This is our home, after all. It's not just a room. It's not a hotel. It's a house, a place to call home. But the company doesn't care about any of that anymore; only profitability counts.

I lived in a casa particular for about a year and a half, and I have to say it was one of the best experiences of my life. I had a wonderful time and met some amazing people. It's a great way to meet people, and the quality of life to rent ratio is unbeatable. It's also very convenient when you're new to Paris and struggling to find accommodation. The staff at the casa particular are also quite approachable and transparent. However, the quality of services (which was impeccable when I first arrived) has declined somewhat over time. This is probably due to the increasing number of casas particulares around Paris. Also, the initial system of co-opting new housemates, with the choice of new roommates, is largely disappearing (it's practically nonexistent now), which is a shame because it's gone from coliving/community living to just giant shared apartments. This is especially noticeable in the newer casas particulares, where community rules and other guidelines haven't yet been established like in the older ones. That's precisely what makes this type of experience so powerful. Overall, I highly recommend going through Casa. In my experience, people who left (after several years) did so either to move in with their girlfriend/boyfriend or to move out of Paris.

I lived for a little over a year at Casa Joan in Rosny-sous-Bois. Overall, it was a very positive experience, allowing me to meet wonderful people and create many lasting memories. I highly recommend La Casa!

I moved into the house almost a month ago and I'm disappointed: - The room is smaller than advertised (10m² of floor space under the eaves) - The room wasn't clean when I arrived - Netflix and Canal+ are only accessible on the TVs in the common areas and not on personal computers - I asked for the office chair (black with grime) and the mirror on a wardrobe door (broken) to be replaced, but so far, nothing has been done - One of the two washing machines doesn't work, one of the two ovens doesn't work, the intercom doesn't work... These problems have been going on for several months - The house is very poorly insulated, and despite the efforts of the other housemates, they received a bill for approximately €300 per person for a year's worth of utilities.

An incredible human adventure. If you enjoy shared accommodation and community living, give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

The concept is interesting, the roommates are pleasant, and the apartment is well-furnished with quality equipment. However, several difficulties arose upon arrival: the entry code didn't work for three days; the room was unsanitary (traces of excrement, blood, and hair, see photos) and wasn't cleaned until five days later; the bedroom door handle was broken for four days. La Casa offered to waive the €75 cleaning fee, a gesture that was appreciated, even though this amount isn't displayed on their public website. I was also pressured to start the lease before arriving in France, which shortened the preparation time. After speaking with a co-founder, the issues were acknowledged, but not the seriousness of the situation. My request for a rent refund for the period in question was denied. A disappointing experience despite a promising concept.

Fantastic experience! The house I stayed in was clean, spacious, fully equipped, and had a garden, all within a Parisian budget (around €900 rent). Living with 15 people might seem daunting, but with everyone's different schedules, you'll interact and live alongside 5-6 people on a daily basis. Check-in is incredibly quick (the initial contact upon arrival can be made within 1-2 days), and the staff is very attentive to our needs and takes the time to help us get settled in. The events are optional, making it easy to have your own space!

I moved from Germany to Paris and moved into La Casa. I met some really great people through the different thoughtful events that the company organises to bring people from all the different houses together. They really do a great job of creating a sense of community. The staff from La Casa feels more like part of the Casa communIty than staff. Two years ago, I decided to move into a Casa because the concept appealed to me. I was very happy in my apartment, but I wanted to experience something different. The concept is fantastic, the staff is amazing, and I loved living in a Casa. Between the numerous services, the fact that the administrative burden was completely handled by the staff, and always having someone to contact for any problem, everything was perfect. I loved the inter-Casa evenings, the Parisian after-work gatherings, and all the community events. I met some wonderful people there, and I'm going to stay in touch. And the biggest surprise is that, thanks to all the services, it's a really great choice financially. I had to leave the house for a personal project, but I plan to move back into a Casa right after. Thank you to the Casa and the whole team.

I want to share a traumatic experience I had at the Casa in Neuilly-Plaisance: I left France at the end of July to return to China because my grandmother was very ill. I left my room empty in Neuilly-Plaisance for two months (until September) because I didn't know how long I would stay in China. It was a hasty decision to leave, and many of my belongings were left unpacked. In September, I decided to terminate my lease because it was no longer financially viable to pay rent for an empty room. My boyfriend went to the Casa to help me retrieve my things, but some of them were left in the kitchen, the closet, and the freezer. Unfortunately, my grandmother passed away, and I returned to France two weeks ago. Today, I went back to Neuilly-Plaisance to collect my belongings. I rang the doorbell, and my new roommate answered. I explained to her that I was the previous tenant and that I still had some belongings here that I wanted to retrieve. She let me in, and I greeted the other roommates. First, they told me they had thrown all my things out without informing me. I calmly replied that it wasn't a big deal and that I simply wanted to check if anything was left so I could get my things back. While I was packing and looking for my belongings, one of the roommates, Exxx Lxxx, started verbally abusing me. He said, "Don't you think you're bothering us?" I replied that I was just there to collect my things. He then said, "Get out, this is my place. If you stay here any longer, I'll call the police. If you want to come to my place, you have to send me a message. Get out!" “None of the other housemates intervened; they simply watched while he continued to assault me. I spoke to Casa staff, and they told me there was nothing they could do to stop people from treating each other so badly. After leaving Casa, I noticed a bruise on the back of my calf. I guess I was so scared on the way out that I must have bumped into something. Receiving no support or help from them, I decided to share my story in Casa's activity groups to warn others about the risks of violence in Casa housing. Immediately, Casa staff deleted my post and banned me from all Casa activity groups. I started seeing a psychologist following this traumatic event. Casa's Legal Responsibility: Casa has a legal obligation to guarantee a safe environment for its tenants.” In accordance with the articles of the French Civil Code relating to contractual obligations (particularly Articles 1719 et seq.), landlords must provide peaceful and safe housing. Furthermore, Article 1240 of the Civil Code specifies that any fault causing damage gives rise to a right to compensation. By tolerating violent or intimidating behavior within their properties and refusing to intervene despite reports, Casa could be held liable for breach of its obligations and endangering its tenants. Finally, deleting messages warning of a risk of violence can be interpreted as a breach of their duty to inform other tenants.

I thought I'd stay a few months, but I ended up staying for over two years. Much more than just a shared apartment, the house is quite an adventure. Everything is designed for living with 12 people (in my case), and I highly recommend settling in there. Thank you for everything!

I joined the concept at its inception four years ago. Freshly arrived from the provinces and just after the start of the Covid pandemic, the casa provided me with a wonderful place to live and to build a social and friendly network. The human experience exceeded my expectations.

It was a peaceful and very positive experience! Indeed, I stayed at La Casa for six months, and my experience was superb. I had already done some co-living in Paris (with Colonies), and the services they offer are simply incomparable. With Colonies, I had a very negative experience (sewage backup in the shower that was cleaned three days later, and part of the roof that collapsed despite several warnings from us before the damage occurred, and which was repaired several weeks later... and that's not all. In short, a shameful experience and a lot of ghosting from Colonies despite the price we paid). At La Casa, I never felt left out, despite several requests my housemates and I made. The staff is friendly, attentive, and responsive. I honestly have no negative points to mention, and I highly recommend La Casa!

Moving with LaCasa to the Paris region while starting my career means making lots of great connections and giving yourself the opportunity to build relationships with your roommate as well as with the InterCasa network. I so wanted to experience co-living in Paris that I came back specifically for that. I have to say, the staff and the concept of La Casa are extraordinary. The layout of each villa, the garden, the interior and exterior decor—everything is designed to create a unique experience. My room was my cozy, cocooned haven, and right outside my door were my friends and my new family, with whom I could share wonderful moments. I spent 2 incredible years with the casa. I met some amazing people, made some wonderful friends and found love. The casa is not just a building, it's a community, with its sole purpose to bring people together in a healthy environment so that each and every person can live the casa experience that they wish. Want do to sport all day ? There are tons of groupes for tennis, football, padel, water skiing .... Want to experience french culture ? There are groups for museum trips, walks around Paris, theater outings. Want to party ? God knows how many casa partys are organised per month. At the end of the day, the casa is what you want it to be and that's what makes it so special.

Having lived at the Casa des Chefs in Villejuif, I absolutely loved the co-living experience with La Casa! The services are fantastic (fully equipped houses, cooking classes, regular after-work gatherings) and community life worked really well for me: it enriched my life and I've made lifelong friends within my Casa and even in other Casas thanks to the connections I maintain with them (through various groups for sports, film, etc.)! If you're looking for this kind of lifestyle, La Casa is, in my opinion, the best possible experience!

A fantastic experience! I lived in one of their coliving houses in the Paris region for just over two years, and it was truly amazing: a garden, barbecues with the housemates, and a great atmosphere! Having a private bathroom in your room is also a huge plus compared to more traditional shared accommodations, as are the amenities (kitchen, fridge, freezer, 4K TV, and much more 😅) and the common areas. You really feel comfortable and at home! :) I highly recommend La Casa if you enjoy shared living but are looking for something more upscale in terms of living space, amenities, and services. Plus, parties are often organized by the La Casa team or other houses, perfect for meeting people if you're new to Paris! :)

Having been one of the very first residents of the Casa Verte de Saint Maur, created in February 2020, I lived there for over three years, during which I experienced countless wonderful moments with my roommates. Improvised or organized meals, cooking together, movie nights, board games, secrets, chilling on the terrace, dancing, barbecues, gardening... I lived there through all the lockdowns; we were extremely privileged to be able to spend these complicated moments together in such beautiful and comfortable spaces, and above all, surrounded by others. Having lived almost entirely alone before, this extremely enriching experience at 18 wasn't always easy and clearly took me out of my comfort zone. It truly helped me grow and learn a lot about myself and others. I made very strong friendships there that I still maintain outside of the Casa. Negative point: It's hard to motivate yourself to go out in Paris because you feel so good at the Casa 😄 (especially in winter 🥶) Special mention for the super responsive and always very friendly staff 💜

More than just a place to live, an experience! I spent almost a year in one of the houses offered by La Casa as a coliving space. It's an excellent compromise between community living and tranquility, with each roommate having their own bedroom and bathroom. I think many people can find something to their liking here, whether they're nature lovers (it's a luxury to live in a house with a garden just minutes from Paris!), party animals and those who aren't (lots of events are on offer, but of course there's no obligation to participate), and anyone who simply wants to have a pleasant place to live and meet nice people from different backgrounds. Thanks again to La Casa for this great concept!

I had an incredible experience in one of La Casa's co-living houses. The common areas were brand new and very well-equipped, and the atmosphere was friendly. Having a large garden with outdoor seating added to the enjoyment of living in a house so well-connected to Paris by RER. The team is welcoming, and the organized events led to some great encounters. I highly recommend it if you want comfort, a good quality of life, and to meet new people. One small drawback that I hope they will improve: the rooms are currently all the same price, even though the size, practicality, and comfort of the room can vary almost by a factor of two. This can create a feeling of unfairness for those less fortunate and can even lead to tension between housemates when changing rooms. My most positive point: the network of La Casa residents! I was able to meet so many people, easily have great evenings, and even go on a ski trip with many members of the network :)

I was told in March 2022 (covid is still present and making travel challenging) that there is absolutely no way I can do the it online. At that moment I did not live in Francs. Therefore, I flew to Paris for a 1 day trip. Meanwhile, my future colocs told me that as they are french none of them had to come to Paris from other french cities like Strasbourg which is only a short train ride. For them it was possible online. If you are a foreigner I recommend you to search for other possibilities! My Casa barely understood English, speaking was other level.

I spent a year and a half there, near Villejuif, and it was one of the best shared living experiences I've ever had. Everything is set up so you can simply enjoy time with your housemates without worrying about things like subscriptions, cleaning, maintenance/repairs, etc. Be warned, it's still intense! :) Of course, each house is unique and has to choose you! But given the number of communities today, there's no reason you shouldn't find the one that suits you ;). I still go back regularly when I'm in Paris!

Over two and a half years spent in the Casa. It was truly a superb experience, which I highly recommend. Ideal for enjoying both large common areas (kitchen, living room, chill-out room, gym, etc.) and the option of staying in your own room with its own shower and toilet. The perfect place to make friends and professional connections… Friendships that last, as my housemates even followed me to Brazil for my wedding. One last important point: the availability of support through partner organizations to strengthen your roommate application, if your profile is promising. As a self-employed individual without guarantors, this clearly helped me settle in the Paris region and saved me months of searching.

I absolutely loved the year and a few months I spent at the Casa de Villejuif (by far the best, but I'm biased). I'm quite introverted, but that was never a problem. My housemates were all wonderful and provided indescribable support, no matter the situation. There's a real sense of "family." I left because I was leaving Paris, but I would have gladly stayed to share my life with them a little longer! We're still in touch, of course, and I plan to see them again as soon as possible!

My experience was really great. The Casas are fantastic. The staff is very attentive and organizes lots of events between the different Casas. I recommend this experience to anyone who wants a coliving adventure.

I lived at the Casa des Chefs in Villejuif for over a year and came away convinced I'd had an incredibly enriching experience. From barbecue evenings on the rooftop to ping-pong tournaments (and beer pong) in the garden, and movie nights with a projector on the terrace, we had a great time, shared wonderful moments, and most importantly, never had a dull moment! And all this with 13 housemates who quickly became close friends in this ultra-comfortable house where time flew by, where you felt at home, in this supportive community where you could be yourself and truly appreciate your strengths and qualities. A life-changing experience! The La Casa concept is to eliminate the drawbacks of shared housing (everyone has their own bedroom, bathroom, and toilet; the house is cleaned twice a week by a professional cleaning service) and enhance its advantages (a beautiful, newly renovated and tastefully decorated house, a double garden of 500m², numerous amenities, all-inclusive rent including internet, home insurance, Canal+/Netflix/Spotify, a grocery allowance, meal delivery for everyone to cook together, cleaning services, after-work drinks at private bars (when not in lockdown), cooking classes, wine tasting classes, and more). The La Casa staff is very responsive in case of any issues and does everything possible to make life easy for everyone. Each resident has a role to play in the community, which makes everyone feel valued. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, allowing for privacy if needed (which happens!). La Casa (des chefs Rosny) lives up to its name; it truly feels like home. I had an incredible experience, meeting people who are now friends. I'll never forget the barbecue and raclette evenings, the music quizzes, the cakes, the glitter everywhere, and the CrossFit cramps. It's a lifestyle that might seem completely crazy, and it is—living with 15 people is madness—but beyond that, it's rich in experiences and love (yes, because we love each other). The services are top-notch, the team is super helpful, and the spaces are amazing, allowing residents to live at their own pace, whenever they want.

If you are looking to live in the Paris region for excellent value for money (the houses are so beautiful and everything is included!!!), or if you want to meet your future friends for life (it seems that some even find love), I recommend La Casa a thousand times!

I led wine tasting workshops in several of La Casa's co-living houses! I was very pleasantly surprised by the aesthetic appeal of these houses, and by the friendly and positive atmosphere of the residents. I really appreciated that each house had a different concept, like the Sports House or the Chefs House... I got the impression that the residents enjoyed their lives in these houses and appreciated the quality of life. What's also great is that these houses are often located along metro lines! La Casa is a wonderful discovery and a fantastic approach to co-living!

Having had the chance to visit three of the different houses, I can say they are all truly magnificent, and the tenants seem genuinely happy living there. If my job had allowed it, I would certainly have been happy to live in one of these houses. :D
